I want to dim my interior lights when the auto headlight switch is OFF. But it seems to be over ridden.
They go full bright and have no dimming control at that point.
It would be great to get an answer on this question.
Two years later and no one knows... I have a 2021 model and it's the same way. Dash cluster and radio screen stays full bright.
same occurs on 2022 Colorado, detrimental for astro photography as well as just blindingly bright. At least has a display off for the tough screen, but cluster is still super bright with no adjustment.

I would like to dim my dash lights with the engine idling and the auto light switch in off position. No parking lights on.

so that knob that is the only part of the controls that doesn't light up at night... That's what controls how bright or dark the dashboard is. My lights were blinding me at night could not find any way to dim them because it's the only thing in the dark vehicle that doesn't light up. I hate who designed this thing.
