Honestly Grigori is so fucking polite for an almost God-like Dragon, he isn't necessarily evil, more like just do the necessary evil itself to ready the Arisen to face off against the Senechal
He really comes off as more of an anti-hero than a villain. He may wield great and terrible power, but with a dignity that shows he isn't doing it out of personal gratification, but duty.
It's incredible how well a Japanese company managed to adapt classical Western dark fantasy. It's so familiar but so unique, I think way more cultures should tell each others stories, when it works It's honestly beautiful

Back when i played DD for the first time, Grigori's speech about you controlling your own fate gave me goosebumps. i love the voice actor for him, its too bad it wasn't so good in the movie
David lodge voiced grigori in the netflix series, I am entirely convinced he knew that the show was absolutely awful and didn't try because he's back to his amazing self in the 2nd game
One of the best voice actors (forgot the VA's name) for a cool dragon, really conveys how they are supposed to be the pinnacle of intimidation and intelligence. You left out some of my favorite quotes though, like his monologue about the deal, the roar, and the part in the beggining of the game where he says to take up arms, for his kind does not heed those without teeth.
I'm pretty much always a red class at heart but that line about having a "blood red voice" is probably the coolest description of magic users I've ever heard. why the absolute fuck they decided to change lodge's voice in the anime is so beyond my understanding I might as well be braindead.
I have to say the art showed during this video was fantastic, very well done. My favorite piece was when Grigori watched over the arisen awaking, indeed this video had me in tears. 10/10
David Lodge is my favorite voice actor of all time. Hearing his voice the moment Grigori began to speak solidified Dragon's Dogma as my favorite game of that console generation.

Thanks for the upload. DD and Grigori deserves more praise. Grigori isn't a villain, he's like an antagonist with no nerferious motives but to drive the hero to be a true hero and finish his suffering. Grigori isn't about causing pain (even though he decimates villages) but to find the one who'll put him to rest. It's my interpretation. After the Cassardis attack, he stopped the village attacks. He only took the Arisen beloved one in hostage because he knew the Arisen had the condition to save the loved one.
Kinda makes sense Grigori here is truly challenging Arisen will and happy with his job The DD2 Dragon is tired with the job because of the Pathfinder acting as a Senecshal meanwhile the real Senecshal is chillin at the seat waiting for Arisen to come there and get killed
