Now I know how to dodge an oxygen tank propelling itself toward me after a bowling ball launched from a cannon knocks the valve off. Thanks, The Science Channel!
I agree but, i have warned these knuckle heads about how those tanks can travel. Ignited they can travel pretty fast over half a mile. These fools are always in kill zones.
An oxygen welding tank is about 1/4-inch thick to hold the 2,000-psi gas. I'm not sure what grade of metal is used, but it must be good stuff. When I took Welding 101 we watched a safety film showing a oxygen welding tank where the safety valve sheared off. The oxygen tank went halfway thru a concrete block wall. BTW, 2,000-psi is similar to the pressure produced by a rocket motor.
we used large steel ones exactly like that at the dive shop for the big compressor in a bank of 5 and they'd fill to 4500psi. We had a tank in the alley that was a old submarine ballast tank for more capacity as well.
Hey, just wanted to say thanks so much for the great explosive experiments! Second to none! You guys do the stuff I can only dream of, keep up the great work!
If you would build some sort of ramp, so that the tank is upside down and shoot the valve, the tank would fly very high. You could do it even with lighter tanks like the ones from aluminium.
Amazing! When I was young I worked for the phone company - we used to pump the cable full of dry nitrogen after we worked and closed a splice to make sure it was air tight. The nitrogen was in those types of tanks (heavy) and the old timers told me never to drop one because it would take off like a rocket engine. I never did drop a tank, but this is the first time I ever saw an experiment demonstrating the effect. Thanks!
Anyone else notice the water and snow in the first shot? Wet powder is why that shot was so weak. An old saying was "watch your back trail and keep your powder dry."
you keep doing stuff like this, and the cylinder in the gun safe and I'm still surprised you haven't had been mentioned in one of brandon herreras darwin awards videos yet
Suggestion: You guys seem to have a somewhat professional "engineering" team. I think you should design some kind of sled that you can attach to the bottles. Then blow the valve off and see how far it shoots off in the snow. Maybe have Gespari (I'm sure I messed his name up royally) sit on one of em and see how far he can ride it. Kind of like a bucking Bronco competition, except on oxygen tanks.
I knew a nut job who use to take a sledge hammer and knock the valves off and try and jet them across the East River in Manhattan. Miracle he wasn't killed
I have been watching your videos for a while now and I find them hilarious, but it has occurred to me over time that every time you make a video something lands just a little closer to you guys than the video before, so I guess the next video is where we are going to get a proper showdown 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
2:23 I'm fairly certain you could have got your hand out of the way in time , but I think welding a handle on it might make that move a little easier to watch .
That was freaking awesome guys. I think the first shot was so weak from the snow that was inside the Cannon that you dumped the powder on top of making the powder wet.
I always heard stories of the old days at US Steel Gary Works right on south shore of Lake Michigan. Old timers said that they would prop up oxygen tanks and knock off the valve with a sledgehammer and shoot them in to Lake Michigan. This reminded me of the old stories.
I was literally watching the last recent video before uploading this awesome video, content just gets better every time 🙏 by the way look at all the snow ❄️☃️🌨 too bad it's extremely dry here in arizona
Good work fellas I'm totally impressed with your land torpedo research. Considering that your productions are all done with nothing less than the highest standards of both safety and environmental responsibility in mind you have once again outdone yourselves. I would say take care of yourselves but... much respect Edwin
Could you imagine how fast the tank would have gone across the ground if it had wheels on it
You just gave him his next video.
Working on it
@@EdwinSarkissian we'd love to see that also
Yep, but sled runners would be good in the snow.
If those are charged up if that valve breaks from impact that will become a torpedo
Usually Edwin has to walk to go see the damage. This time the damage came to him! hahaha
hahaha
He must be in Soviet Russia this time, would explain the snow 🧐
LOL 😂
Its the blessing of Jaspari xD. The action comes to Jaspari LMAOOOO
Also the time with that safe that i think it was the door coming at them 😬
Gaspari is officially the greatest cameraman of all time. And has balls of steel.
Too stunned to move lol
@@blauer2551 He has offered to do the dirty himself.
I don’t think his balls are steel.
Probably tungsten!
He knows the cameraman secret to invincibility
Yup, after a few beers he's about as steady as Christmas lawn decorations in a wind storm.
Jaspari has a deadly object fly at him and laughs.
Edwin throws a snowball at him and he screams NO!
You guys are great, Jasparialways makes me smile
Haven't laughed that hard in ages. Thanks guys!
You welcome 🤗
This is a fun channel
Edwin and Gaspari never fail to entertain.
Well done guys!
People who entertain us THIS much have low life expectantcy.
edwin: im doing this becouse im a professional 1:50 ))
Now I know how to dodge an oxygen tank propelling itself toward me after a bowling ball launched from a cannon knocks the valve off. Thanks, The Science Channel!
Happens every day to me.
Love the stereo effect when the cannister goes by the camera! No safety suggestions at all. Your collective laughs are so contagious!
LMAO! That bottle slid all the way back to you guys like a heat seeking missle :D
Oxygen tank: You think this is a game?
Edwin shoots it with a canon
Oxygen tank immediately comes and confronts him.
I'm amazed you two are still alive with the crazy things you do, but I must say that was entertaining and scary.
You never fail to make me smile. Thanks dudes.
That was snow in the bottom of the cannon, made the gunpowder damp.
This ^
That first shot had very little power
Yeah I saw the same thing
yee
Snow for sure
You guys are the most fun out there 🔥👍. Thank you for risking your lives so we don't have to 😂
I agree but, i have warned these knuckle heads about how those tanks can travel. Ignited they can travel pretty fast over half a mile. These fools are always in kill zones.
This dude is living his absolute best life.
Hilarious!!!!!! Such a fun video and pair of hosts. Love you guys...
Round of applause for Jaspari with the perfect camera shots! 🤣👏
You guys deserve an academy award for these videos . I love them.
They're definitely the most entertaining duo on the tube that I know about
I love this one. This was great. Of all the directions...it comes right back at you. LOL!
You guys are absolutely bonkers!! Love it!
I learn more here than I ever did in Public School!
Hahahaha right😁

Lo mejor de todo es escuchar a un paisano divirtiéndose ! Congrats from GDL !

When even a 45-70 hand cannon isn't enough, you've got to bring out the real cannon 🤣
You’re the funniest fun channel out there Edwin thank you for the laughs
Very encouraging to see you have expanded your science testing to torpedos!
Loving the tank series. How about mounting one on wheels and blowing the valve off? 😂
He said he's working on it in a different but related comment
@@kyles5513 MORE POWDER.
Greatest Science channel ever. Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year to both of you guys. Great video keep safe and keep them coming.

One of your all-time most hilarious videos!!!!
That was way funnier than expected !
When you Guys finally get your Darwin awards, they better come with gold stars
You guys are legends!! Keep them coming !! All on thr name of science of course!!
Anyone else notice the water and snow in the first shot? Wet powder is why that shot was so weak. An old saying was "watch your back trail and keep your powder dry."
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the first shot would have been way more exciting if the gunpowder was dry.
Lmao! I can’t believe it came back to you guys at such a slow rate. It had revenge on its mind.
you keep doing stuff like this, and the cylinder in the gun safe and I'm still surprised you haven't had been mentioned in one of brandon herreras darwin awards videos yet
Probably because they are all part of a community and aren't going to throw serious shade at one another.
Seeing experiments in this snow covered place is so beautiful ❤

Best one ever!! Good for a ton of laughs!!😁😁😁😄😄😄
The odds of it landing exactly where they are standing are insane
THIS! Is the best one yet!!!
i played it in slow motion, that was the best 20 minutes of my life.
This was great camera man balls of steel award goes to this guy
This was really good, I was waiting for you to put the cannister in the cannon.
You guys are too much, I love this channel, thanks for uploading for science
he was more scared of the snowball than the oxygen rocket-sled
I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard! 😂😂😂👍
Puedo morirme de la risa con ustedes , son lo máximo , jajajajja saludos desde Ecuador Edwin y Gasparín
Omg you guys are nuts! Great job!!!
8:25 that's insane all the directions it could have went but it chose to target you😅 I think the oxygen tanks are trying to fight back

That explosion was hilarious.... 😂😂😂
“That’s what she says” never gets old, especially coming from Micheal Scott.
"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction" demonstrated
That laugh at 9min mark!! Awesome!! Science rules!
Never gets old. Hopefully, Gaspari and Edwin do. Sometimes, we wonder. 😂
Amazing edit! laughed out loud!
Omg that was hilarious when the tank came at them. great tv!
I knew from the get go, one was going to come right at ya. .. lol great video.
Tried a quick peek after lowering the ball, good job👌🏽

You guys are NUTS !!! but I love it!
this is the best video you've ever made, when it came towards you it was like a giant worm snow plough.
