- When a homie offers you his mint CRF450RX Supermoto for an amazing price, can you really say no? In today's video my boy Clay stops by and delivers my new to me 450RX. He bought this bike new in 2019 and converted it to street legal with a full Warp 9 17" Supermoto wheel setup. This is not a street friendly bike by any means and it is basically a 450R race bike with a kickstand and softer suspension.
I'll save the specs and build list for another video but we end up taking the Honda's for a rip and I get to feel what a real bike has to offer once again.

You kids are so lucky. I had a 50 cc Honda in 76 and had to stand on the back pegs and rev the hell out of the engine and bring the front wheel up to be able to wheelie at speed. Enjoy the rest of your journey
Man, the moment you said "I'm scared", the memory of me riding the exc 530 for the first time just comes back. I still remember that scary-ass bike gave me a heart attack right after the power wheelie on 3rd gear, yet I was in love with it right away. For me, there are no feelings that can beat the excitement fused with fear riding a dirt bike. Have fun with yours, man.

I own the same one, it was the trip meter and it's limited to that value. Odometer was on a different screen

Did this with my 450X. South Dakota plated, sumo setup. Love it!! Plus 6th gear is great
South dakota and vermont plates were its at for dirtbikes.
Damn, if only you stuck with the 450L. I just did the 450rx cam swap into mine and it IS possible to do it on the stock ecu with a cheap way to skew air temp for more fuel. 450RX power with the 6 speed is mint!

or just get ktm 450sx? I'm pretty sure it's the most powerful 450 ever made. It's very hard to ride slow with that lol
@@daveyt4802 Call me crazy but the 43-47HP that the L puts out is plenty for 99.9% of riders 😂 Us mere mortals will never use that HP especially off-road.

start with a 450 x and skip the first 2. youll grow into it and have the feel for a race tune with very little investment. then get a plated R

I love supermotos but the only thing a dual sport setup couldn’t do is take corners fast. Do a track day, throw some dirt tires on after and call it a day.
My 250l would drag foot pegs on knobbys
Yeah you can drag but not near as fast as a sumo. Knobbies fold and wash out way before a supermoto tire slips in terms of speed. Each has their benefit.

@@jimi1943 Reality in many places around the world is diferent. Payment plans, how much you money is really worth inside your country, how much you can earn on the month... Here the minimum wage is 1200 reais thats almost 230 dollars at this time. You do the math, if they are expensive around the worls, here they are even more. Side by sides? Four wheelers? Dude, a 150cc scooter costs 20k here. At 1200-1500 a month, rent, food... The money just doesnt add up as in other countries. You see many people in the US with many toys for the weekend, the taxes arent high to register one of those, for exemple, here in some states is 10% of thr market value, so if you car costs 100k you are paying 10k a year. So do trip, i know they are expensive, but here they are a diferent kind of expensive, and you cant even register them to the roas, because of bullshit laws.

Clean bike, man. It's great you've got so many friends that ride. What's the top end maintenance interval on these newer CRFs? I know the older ones needed shimming constantly.

Is it more powerful than a CR500 or XR650R?
Pretty sure the rx is between a motocross bike and enduro bike, more towards the motocross side tho.
CR500 id imagine would blow the 450 out of the water if both were set up for dirt. On the straights anyways. Not sure bout corners
