Wait what, another OB episode? Nice
Enjoy! 😀
Was thinking the same 😁😁😁 🎉🎉
Dumping sewage in the river is very UK-inspired. You should add a marina nearby too for the university varsity boat race…
Have you ever thought of using the difficult-to-place or weird-looking monuments as perhaps sets for a film company? And then incorporating warehouses as closed sets? Similar to how you see Warner Brothers or Disney covering a large area with different sets on it from a "café lined street", futuristic city etc. Just a thought :) Love the CS1 content Egg!
Will you start a new cs1 vanilla series when you reach the node limit? Really enjoy the cs1 vanilla and OB
Currently undecided! I know you guys are keen on one, we will see!
My go-to for a wastewater plant is to use the inland facilities + freshwater outlets (on a canal or quay, generally) for the aesthetics. That way you don't shift the water flow anywhere near as much, and they're lower-profile buildings, but you still get the aesthetics of a water outlet pouring back into the river. And as a bonus it's guaranteed to be non-polluted water. :)
Another great build 😊
Cheers big man!! Nice to see you enjoying Orchid Bay still 😁
The city will only truly be over when Egg runs out of decorative rock nodes
Last 5 episodes of the series is just rocks
Earliest I’ve ever been, my favourite series 🎉
Enjoy James!
I've never used any of the monuments, so it's nice to see one getting some good use. This one definitely sits well in the build and looks very appropriate. Nice job!
"That's not how water works" I loved that line. 😀
2 OB episodes in one week!!
Another great build!! Only you can make a recycling plant area look like a masterpiece.
My only thing would be to maybe add some offices in the area and make it like the corporate offices of OB trash
hey egg you can use financial districts to repurpose any distcrict as you have not used the ofiice style for it in any place of orchid bay except for the unique buildings in the downtow(stock exchange and the plazas). It is a really cool office distcrict speacialization and would look really cool in orchid bay. Also the brickland and quays area look way to low because of the new heights added in the fron portion of downtown. This could be an excuse to use the financial district with som greencities to redevelop that area.
We can do a financial district plaza sure
The log joke got me 😂. And that new road could lead to more development in that area, maybe a massive postal sorting facility?
as i understand it, without the garbage processing complex, the garbage collecting facilities will stop working once they are full, since they just collect and get emptied by the processing complex, just saying.
Good point!
That's correct, Waste Transfer Facilities and Landfills will now just fill up. You can empty them and the Ultimate Recycling Plant (or the local recycling plants if they have capacity and are closer) will receive the trucks from the collection facilities. But you may as well just demolish those, too. The URP just eats enormous amounts of garbage. I wound up giving mine essentially a dedicated highway link and warehouse support for all the resources it generates.
Omg Egg love ya you've made my week so much better. I love this city
Enjoy Clare!
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG I loved this so much
Another OB episode? Oh we’re eating good this week
Looks like orchid bay is back on the menu boys
Wonder if the indistrial road-highway would work as the river crossing with that cool ironwork instead of the suspension?
Excellent call Tori!
Shouldn't the workers of the water treatment and recycling plants have some sort of park or basketball courts to use on their breaks? I'm sure if they have a union they would definitely push for some sort of park or athletic facility
Otherwise, love the build! This city is so beautiful
An unexpected surprise, but a welcome one... 😊
Another cool build! Do you reckon you'll manage to use all the uniques in OB? That'll be a hell of an achievement if you can pull it off!
I think all will be a struggle! There are some very odd ones left 😂 we'll try!
Very cool factory!!! I like the whole build as it all coincides with each other. Love the detailing too 🤩
There's a plant fertilizer company called 'Milorganite' which is made primarily from the output of the city of Milwaukee's wastewater treatment, so it seems entirely plausible that the facility would be processing the solid matter into some useful material.
A second video this week? Did we win the lottery? What an assest to use. I really like this water ways you created, it really makes the build feel real.
Thank you! Yes, wasn't really feeling Egginburgh this week, wanted to get more OB done!
love the Skyrim music
Really pretty
15:28 silly water, this isn't Minecraft
And how about replacing the "inner" frame roads between the three basins with wide airport roads?
Less than 5% node-count but still 'wasting' them for aestethic purposes on those water outlets, huh? 😉 Sits very well outside of denise and like the inclusion of geothermal. I believe you did have one or two in the early days of Orchid Bay, but they may have been removed when the power plant was built.
Does the concrete brush need to be on flat ground? Could it be used as an alternate for those rock decorations?
Just spotter that OB is in 2225 now. Over 200 years has passed!
a new animal farm behind the treatment plant would be nice
I mean orchid bay is a lovely city but where has egginburgh gone?? is there a problem with the save?
No problem with the save. To be honest the recent update, dlc and new bugs are killed my motivation to play the game. Egginburgh will be back but right now, I'm not really interested in playing CS2
Egg iv stopped watching CS2 video there just something about Cs1 thats better
Love these videos watch them befire going to sleep
👍👍
interesting build, but those rock-lined outflow channels bother me. they seem very... weird. at first i thought you were going for a big lagoon - like the ones they use to settle biomass out of water before further processing - but having these GIANT channels cut into the riverbank just for some outflow pipes (when you have a much neater outflow facility right on the other side) just looks kind of weird and janky to me.
bring egginburgh back bored watching cs1 content
Not interested in playing CS2 right now after the recent patch. Egginburgh isn't gone but I'm not playing it atm.
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG Honestly there is still plenty of fun to be had in CS1.
Two on the other hand is boring, as every time you try and do something it just gets messed up. It’s frustrating to play and frustrating to watch.
CS1 for the win!
