RIP Trevor, you will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything and keep rocking forever.
It’s surreal can’t believe he is gone. TBDM was one of my gateway bands into extreme metal
R.I.P. 🤘
This is actually the first song I’ve listened too since. No shit. It’s honestly hard to listen too right now. I don’t have the heart for it.
I just forgot that the dude left us here alone....
For ever
RIP Trevor Strnad 💔
Thank you for all the good times and the killer music. You will be missed.
Dude we lost one of the all times greats. Heavy rotation daily for me, this sucks bad.
I bought beer and I dug my vinyls out. Time to drink and cry
Fxxk I'm crying inside 😢 sheesh this band means so much to many of us
I don't even drink anymore but I'm get fxxked up to this
I had seen Trevor in September of 2021 and he was amazing live!!! he included the whole audience and was the most kind and sincere person. The metal community lost a legend. RIP Trevor.
Man I’m torn . I’m a recovered alcoholic and drug addict. Trevor and TBDM have helped me keep my head on straight when times get tough. As a Marine. I salute you Trevor. I’m praying for your family. I’ve loved you for years and will continue to love you and the band. It was honor to see you live this past year. Love you brotha.
Here to pay tribute to The Legend. You will never be forgotten.
Never got too into this band, but I remember being showed this song in 2006 when I was like 19 years old. It was (and still is) so brutal. Rip Trevor you maniac.
Yes! This and Dave goes to Hollywood. With their Iron Maiden t shirts. I so wanted to meet you Trev
I remember when my best friend put this album on my computer, the only other metal I had was Metallica and pantera then this, huge jump in brutality but my god all these years later and this album I can still listen to on repeat over and over its that good.
+Richard McIvor And yet, it's so far from brutal. How strange!
***** You're getting me and your mother confused. It makes sense since we're always hanging out together. ;)
Hanging out
buying dresses and tampons
..You women.. Hohohoho
***** *her
first time I heard and say them live for the first time was Ozzfest and that performance and album is what got me hooked
Damn 10 years goes by like nothing
"This is a song for you old fucks, so get up here so we can see your old faces"
Shut you're telling me
Drag your walkers to the pit for an oldie but goodie
Fuck shit new generation!!!! Your ideas shit is nothing without old man technical.
Lol I still remember watching this when it first came out
I miss you Trevor. You'll always be my favorite vocalist. I hope you're resting good brother.
Fucking chorus riff is ridiculous. They have so many amazing riffs like that. Shit really makes me want to go fucking nuts. Then Trev with the killer lyrics......
This song never gets old
14 years since that comment and it still is true. This song and this band will never get old.
@@justinsane6661 Melodeath Masterpiece.
Revenge never goes out of style
I’ve been a metal head for over a decade now, seen lots of legends die and I can’t describe how hard trevor’s death hurt me. He was like the death metal version of jack black. This album and nocturnal were my jams driving to vocational school in the morning. Smoking weed, eating Wendy’s breakfast sandwiches and TBDM.
Dude likewise
This song, so many memories.
Thanks for your lyrics, guturals and everything you did with your friends at TBDM, you're eternal Trevor!.
RIP Trevor 💔
Came back to watch this after first listening to TBDM back as a 15 year old teen.
Met Trevor at one of their shows in Bristol UK, he was so funny and really willing to spend time with the fans.
14 years later for me and they're still a go-to classic with Trevor bringing some of the best vocals I've ever heard.
I have no words
I love TBDM, those guys are just living the dream. They're always having fun and performing amazing music.
They're also really cool people. I saw them back in 2013 and Trevor Strnad hung out with my friends and I for a bit after the show and gave us all hugs
Awwwwww, Death metal hugs!
0:42 "SPIDERMAN!!!! I've lost my pudding, once again."
This is incredible haha how did I never hear this before??
Josip Marinic actually it's from the jarrod alonge video
That too.
I thought it sounded like he's saying. I lost my footing like if Spider-Man slipped on a rooftop fucked up and falls to his death
182daysofschool i checked out the lyrics and it does not say the thing you wrote. it actually says: "spiraling, i've lost my footing once again." if you don't believe me, check it out for yourself.
I remember when this came out. Trevor you will be so missed. Rest In Peace! Thankyou for getting me through middle school and high school. I’ll forever rep BDM!
"Spiraling
I've lost my footing once again"
thank you
Spiderman, I've lost my pudding once again
RIP trevor, you are greatly missed. You are a musical legend in my book
Some of the best lyrics to a metal song I've ever heard
The cadences throughout, flawless🤘🏼
This band was the biggest thing when the massive deathcore wave crushed us.
I saw them in a tiny concert room in Brussels almost 15 years ago, fuck it was good !
Why argue about their genre? They state on their facebook page, metal archives, interviews etc... that they are inspired by and play death metal/ melodic death metal, the gothenburg melodic death metal sound, they play it fast and technical, inspired by bands from the 90's dissection, carcass, at the gates, dark tranquillity. People who say this is core are just afraid that they are listening to something else then core. So most of them never listened to the bands mentioned above. It is sad, stop arguing and just enjoy the music!!! And buy their albums, twice.
***** it's generally very generic unless it's grind(core) and not enjoyable for me, sorry that I have preferences :(
***** Who said i do not listen to anything related to core? Heaven shall burn and caliban are among my favorite bands to listen to. And i know songs from the bands above and do not bash on them. But you have to admit that many people listening to the bands you mentioned can't see or don't know enough about the music. And thats the main reason why they are labeled as such. I for one are against all people who are trapped in a thinking cage of a certain genre of metal, for example a dude that only listens to thrash metal and bashes/ can't stand other metal.
+heartforhardstyle fairly...
Who cares mate. They're good.
Stop over analysing thing that don't need to be over analysed.
Simply put... it's bad ass metal. All these genres are stupid. So yes why argue or even state a genre at all?
RIP Trevor. His screams will be truly missed.
Here I am back at the first song I heard from y'all....R.I.P. TREVOR! THIS DRINK IS FOR YOU!!!
Rest in peace Trevor Scott Strnad. Thanks for the music you gave us! 🤘
Love you always Trevor
RIP Trevor your vocals were so unique ☹ I absolutely cannot believe he's gone this was so unexpected he seemed like such a happy person and enjoyed life but unfortunately depression is a silent killer I hope youve found peace in the afterlife you legend
This is a reckoning
A clichéd cut of lying tongue
Revenge never goes out of style
Gorilla honing trigger-finger
That makes gorilla man
Ingrained, there's hate within us all
Spiraling I've lost my footing once again
I'm flailing in a tantrum of disgust
When life holds nothing sacred
When the loveless turn to loathe
We'll witness this final threatened pose
Oh, Mother War!
Sleep in your arms tonight, I'm burning
I'm burning for your love
(This) This juggernaut of bronze and alcohol
Machines of vengeance now are born
In vengeance we are born
To our graves these grudges shall be sworn
The ultimate death of emotion never mourned
We'll die before we crawl
Twisted ministers of death
Praying for a bullet hail
Gorilla, suffocate!
Gorilla, maim!
An education in...
Howling!
Ministers of death
We'll be praying
Praying for this bullet hail
Gorilla, suffocate!
Gorilla, maim!
An education in complete misanthropy
Oh, Mother War!
Sleep in your arms tonight, I'm burning
I'm burning for your love
(This) This juggernaut of bronze and alcohol
Machines of vengeance now are born
Oh, Mother War!
Sleep in your arms tonight, I'm burning
I'm burning!
In vengeance we are born
To our fucking graves
The greatest tribe forever
Forever!
Man this brings back memories. First time I heard of TBDM was going to Ozzfest and seeing them live I was amazed and hooked from there. Best Ozzfest period.
Same here. Ozzfest was the first i heard TBDM and was hooked ever since.
Saw them there many many years ago as well. Truly didn't know what I was seeing at the time but I'm so glad I got to
In my early years learning how to play guitar I used to sit in my room all day with the majesty DVD on repeat, smoking and learning these songs
1:37 is still the most hype I get for any song in history, RIP Trevor
My favorite Apecore band!
I agree
I got Deflorate yesterday and let me tell you: it is AMAZING. Ryan Knight is sooooo great on guitar. Especially on "Necropolis" and "I Will Return". It's their best album yet by far.
I love this song good. Good album to play on drums. It makes me cry now. He brought such good energy live. RIP. Trevor.
RIP Trevor. This song and band shaped alot of mh music taste growing up!
RIP Trevor 💔 you have been a huge influence since I was in high school and til this day continue to be my favorite vocalist. We love you and may you rest in peace 🤘🤘🤘
watching this again after hearing the news of the passing of trevor.. sad day
Nothing better than this albums beginning, that second track paired with the previous mini track as an intro. That shit slaps
still one of my favorite drops.
Rest easy Trevor, thanks for creating one of the greatest heavy bands ever... This shit hole won't be the same without you bro
we need 4K video now !!!!
Fuck, his energy was electric. I'm so happy I got to see them live. RIP this loss hits hard. Love you all.
Rest In Power Trevor! True metal LEGEND to myself and others growing up

Jonathan Thacker It actually says "Spiderman, I've lost my footing once again"
It's Spiderman
I love that you put " solo " in with the lyrics! Good job 🤘
It's definitely Spiderman
.. And you can never unhear it haha
Man, this band is awesome. I can't believe I missed their tour. I need to see them live SOOO bad. I still can't get over how skilled the entire band is. They never seem to disappoint. Keep rockin.
Still live for this here . I dream this melody every so often
John Kempainen's solo in this song is so good, not because it's the most technical, albeit still technical, but his playing is so melodic and has so much feel.
He's still my favourite of all BDM's lead players.
I think his solos suck :P
@@Amber57499 you're entitled to your opinion. But your opinion is wrong.
I don't think I am. He uses very predictable patterns all the time, keeps his rhythm very straight and constant and mostly sticks to the standard minor scale. Saying they suck was a little over the top, they do work. But Ryan Knight wipes the floor with him - Brandon Ellis wipes the floor with both, at least in this genre.
one of the greatest solos of all time
This will never get old... ever
Trevor deserves 3.3m more views on this shit. I'll oblige. Fucking legend. My favorite vocalist of all time. Miss you man
Thank you Trevor and TBDM, this was the soundtrack of my teen years.
RIP trevor wtf
1:37 is my favorite BDM riff of all time even though it's so simple
I'll never forget my mom and brother taking me to Black Dahlia with Skeletonwitch and Children of Bodom. Trevor stole the whole show. Rest easy brotha
it’s funny because i discovered this music when i was a lot younger and never really understood it, now it just blows my mind, i love it. helps to keep me sane 🖤🤘.
Never having listened to this band, I thought they were a certain type of metal. Holy shit was I wrong. These guys are fucking incredible. People need to stop comparing them to shitty bands
Thank you for one of the best metal songs ever, thank you tbdm. Rest in power Trevor 💔
Man black dahlia will forever be one of my favorite bands. Just like maylene ans the sons of disaster I feel like I missed seeing some legends live
One of my old co-workers first introduced me to Black Dahlia Murder back in the early 2000s. She mostly listened to Swedish Folk music and pop music with the exception of this band. I went from listening to Pantera, Slayer, and Megadeth to The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth. This was the first band that introduced me to a heavier version of metal. I have seen this band over ten times. Each time I saw them it felt like the first show, which had so much energy. I lost my voice for a couple of days. Thank you and all your current/former band mates that brought an energy that will be felt for years to come.
RIP to a legend. Still remember them at warped tour 2010?? They were too crazy for 90% of that crowd🤘
I'VE LOST MY PUDDING ONCE AGAIN!!!!
Yesssssssssssssssss!!!!!
Check out bible belt by products
this song never gets old
Seeing Brian up there with Trevor just makes me fucking depressed, dude. Knowing how fucking brutal it would be to lose his lifelong friend and bandmate. Now he's doing his best to keep the spirit of this band alive, and he's doing amazing. Love you Trevor.
Farewell Trevor...
RIP Trevor..
🙏 this is why it’s best to be kind. We never know the battles people are facing in their life or even in their own mind.
even after 16 years this still hits hard
RIP Trevor. We will never forget you.
Strange how time progresses, this would have been considered one of the heaviest songs of its time and i can now look at it n go "yh its alright"
r.i.p Trevor 😞
One of my favorite songs they play live
He has came a long way with his vocals getting better every album
"If you think The Black Dahlia Murder is deathcore then I must ask you what kind of drugs were you using. "
I agree, this isn't close to being deathcore.
It's like saying Slayer is death metal.
Trevor from Black Dahlia says he hates labels but the closest one is Melodic Death Metal. If thats what the vocalist of said band says then further discussion is pointless
Strapping Young Lad (now split up) is also another band that doesn't live by labels, they are just merely referred to as Extreme Metal.
I love deathcore and all, but calling TBDM deathcore is like calling Slayer Symphonic Black Metal.
Well said.
Man I would love to see the live performance this video was filmed for...looked like an epic show. You will be missed Trevor.🙏👆👊
My teenaged self mourns this... memories man.
Rip Trevor. Your music will live on forever.
0:40-0:46 i swear he says "spiderman, i lost my pudding once again"
Killer riff - best song on the album... they're the good guys!!!
such a young band here! and still kickin ass now more than ever!
I partied with you in 2006. It's my favorited concert memory. Nobody remembers it but me and 3 others. Thank you for being my gateway to songs that had only screams. God damn dude. If you couldn't make it what fucking hope do I have?#?!?!?!? 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
I wonder if he will ever find his pudding :(
#RIPSpidermansPudding
I love this song, the drums rule all in this.
RIP man. Some of my best memories of was rockin out with my friends to you guys with drinks around the campfire
How many badass riffs can we have in the same song? Brian and Statutory Ape: Yes.
I love this kind of metal, its brutal but still has an even flow to it. Respect!
Love this song! The break down is sick! \m/
The ape wheezing at the beginning always get me lol
Just one of the best to ever do it. I'm 32. Been listening to metal since I was 10. Had the pleasure of meeting Trevor a few times. One of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Rest easy legend.
To everyone calling the black dahlia murder deathcore,
I couldn't give two shits what you decide to label a band, just make sure you don't think of a band as less because of that tag. TDBM is amazing at riff writing and songwriting in extreme metal, and that's why they're my favourite band in death metal (probably my favourite band in general as well)
Please tell me that's a joke this is a horrible the guitar is so simple and repetitive their lyrics are impossible to understand....if you want brutal metal you can have lyrics you can't understand at least have good instrumentals this sounds like a rich white kid high school metal band got good recording equipment their awful
Mychemicalempire Don't like this track? Fine, go listen to newer Black Dahlia (Nocturnal onwards). I don't see how it's that different from 90's death metal, which they are influenced by.
Throw all the pointless insults you want at them, these guys work themselves to the bone making music and touring, and look at the dedicated fanbase they've built.
DropdaLTDtoB My man, never read the comments.. You're just begging to get pissed off. As for if they're deathcore.. Who fucking cares, they're bad ass.. End of story.. Bang your head and enjoy. Never give a fuck what anyone says about bands you like. That all boils down to personal taste. So if someone doesn't like BDM who cares.. Dont let it bug you, opinions are like assholes anyway.
john vaughn Very true. In fact i was headbanging, air guitarring and air drumming a few nights ago at their show in Sydney, front row \m/
With mother fucking Psycroptic supporting \m/ \m/ \m/
Mychemicalempire Rich white kids don't have the work ethic or even realise they have to work their asses off like every successful metal band has ever done.
Nunca será olvidado. Maravilloso Frontman de tremenda banda :(
Rip Trevor💔, one of the first songs I heard by you guys in high school and the reason I got into and love death metal now
Saw TBDM at the NYC leg of the Up From The Sewer Tour and it was my first time ever seeing them live…I was absolutely blown away their whole set. Shit still hits hard, and it still hurts to know that Trevor, such a legendary vocalist and from what I’ve heard, all around cool person, is no longer among us on this Earth.
I know you can’t see this Trevor, but at my last performance, I played the opening riff to What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse in memory of you and rocked the Verminous Legions Attack shirt from the last tour. I never met you in person, but you’ve inspired me to take my own vocals to the next level in my own band. Rest In Power, sir…you will be DEARLY missed. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Holy fooock...THAT IS AWESOME!!
Still bumping in 2017 haaaaaa
after ten years, still searching for the oldtimes fav playlist
That solo always smacks
dude, this band is sick. wish i could chill with em
I got stuck in traffic behind their tour bus otw to their show in Houston in about 2012 and we were stuck for hrs they ended up getting off the bus and playing flag football in the middle of the interstate and grilling on a hibachi. I went up and was like I'm coming to see you guys tonight and they were super cool and I got to hang with them and they gave us vip passes and I ended up getting sloshed with them backstage. Highlight of my life.
Statutory Harambe!
Stop please
How do you delete someone else's comment?
The feels
Dicks out for Harambe.
just legendary... amazing band - can't say enough about them as they progressed through time. RIP Trevor, you were beyond unique and will be deeply missed.
every time i hear this song, i swear trevor says, "spider man, i've lost my pudding once again." funniest misheard lyric ever.
