I am a newer player, just started on fs22. I have a wild amount of hours in on it so far lol Farmer Bob is awesome. I've used all of his videos now i think, i am even making my own maps already. They aren't very good yet but now i have traffic thanks to Farmer Bob!
This is great! Playing FS for more than 3 years and lately (It is a sort of therapy for me after a hecktick day), I decided to start building my own map based on my countryside. Was searching on the web for a god easy to understanding tutorials for semi beginners but had no luck. Then I found your videos on UA-cam. Thank you Farmer BoB :)

Thank you for this video! I've been using a modded map that was made without traffic splines, getting the AI to the right fields is a nightmare. Thanks to your video's I'm now editing maps myself

Great tutorial, easy to follow...However, i have a problem, I done all my splines, which took ages because there are a lot of roads, but when the cars get to the junctions they stop for about 10-15 seconds before turning the corner, then stop again after turning...The cars going straight over stop before and after the juction aswell... Not sure why it happens, but it is very annoying and causes traffic jams... Any ideas how to fix it???
hi brother, check your gamelog for errors, if there are fix those and see if the problem is gone.
@@FarmerBoBonUA-cam I checked the log and it is clean, it seems like the cars are waiting for other cars to clear the section before they proceed, like only 1 car allowed in each section of spline...

@@frankarnold2683 Remove then from the transform group only intersection can be grouped!
Do you have any videos on how to place roads using splines? There is a road kit (prefab) on Modhub, If I want to place these using splines is that possible?
Hi my friend.. yes you can place via spmine with the spline placement script.. but you can only place one road type tile ie. Straight 20m. It doesnt work well with bends although it is possible and uneven terrain is a pain.

Hi brother, all 3 maps on fs22 is accessible via the data/maps/ folder. Just open the map.i3d with giants editor 9.0.3

Any Idea how to customize AI Traffic Vehicles?
The vehickes runs on a spline, i made another video on adding a plane and balloons to a spline, the traffic.xml calls the vehicles so i would sugguest to place your custom vehicles in there.

I would suggest that you contact the map maker and see if he is converting it. :)😀😃😁

My question is how do you make the roads
Roads come road packs, which you download as a placeabke pack in Giants editor on tobyour map. No need to make them.
Yo Bob, is it possible to replace the AI cars with farming vehicles, I would rather see a few tractors driving around instead of generic cars.

Hi brother, u can check the traffic.xml it calls your traffic to the map. So edit that and play around there. It is something i need to check out myself. 👍😉😃

Thanks for this video. I want to ask you something else. I remember see a video from you I think that shows how to work an a w.i.p map and get the changes you make in the editor to show up in a save file? I like to play on a map I am making but need to start over all the time to have the changes I do in the editor. You see the problem?
Hi there,
Yes when you made changes to your map.i3d a new save is required. So create a new sav game, then ooen the old save and cooy all the xml files over, this should atleast bring over all your economy and vehicles etc.
@@FarmerBoBonUA-cam yes it does but let's say I do lots of work logging. Is there a file to transfer that will bring this progress over to a new game save file with the new i3d map update. Let's say I do changes in terrain and then I have to start a new game save to see these changes ingame but I want the progress of logging from an older game save. Thanks for the videos though.
Yes as i said, the xmls, all the relevant info for your gamesave is in the xml files, for logging there is the treeplant.xml not sure if the save game keeps track of which tree you cut, but all in th3 xmls. So cooy ur old xml fikes to the new one. Apart from that there is no other files. You cannot copy the info layers nor gdm files as they will remove your map changes.

That is why I was thinking maybe I could copy something (info layers, gdm files) from a new save over to the old gamesave to have the changes I done in the map with editor to be visual in the old gamesave file. I think this might be possible but a seperate change that will remember only the logs cut from old save coupled with files from a new save for then to have these coupled together from new and old into an old gamesave........ppppeeeewww, this makes my head spin and I am pretty sure this can not be done the way I want.
