Please make more of these! I love your longer videos - I binge your channel (it's helping me through a stress fracture in my pelvis until I can get running again), and this was a real treat! I'm craving the road and trails, and your videos keep my energy and excitement levels up.
Love this. I used to live in Fort Lee and always enjoyed running on Henry Hudson Drive. Your video makes me miss North NJ and all the great food there.
Great video!! I really like the food that you were eating. I was kind of jealous because here in the small town in Arkansas we don’t have a lot of variety. Great shots of Ben as well. Really enjoyed the video as always. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome back to NYC! I love that west side along the Hudson River. It's officially part of the Empire Trail and it's a really beautiful path. Can't believe you did speed work on the palisades hard core 🤯
@@kofuzi Inwood Hill Park has some nice trails with an overlook that has a beautiful view of the Hudson River Valley from the top of the "hill". I love getting lost in those woods for hill workouts.
First up - I’m sorry I missed the shakeout with Ben and Sara and you. Traffic was ‘carmageddon.. second - awesome footage. Third - it was a very humid and crazy fog day. I was drenched by mile 4. I’m sorry to hear that someone passed away. I saw a lot of wreckage on the course, one guy at mile 5 or 6 was on the ground bleeding .. I’m amazed that you ran back to New Jersey from BK ! I saw it on Strava and was amazed that you could do that in that heat ! Bravo ! I hope we get another chance to meet.
It was really such a humid day. The plan originally was to take the train to the Brooklyn bridge and run home from there. But when I saw the forecast, I changed the route to start in Central Park, which shorted the run by quite a bit
This was just so well done!! I put it up there with your NYC Marathon video, which I LOVED. Great choice of background music. So cool that you got shout outs from the racers--a testament to the reach of your channel. Again, well done!
Kofuzi you is awesome. although many of us got to run and shout your name, it was awesome. This video reflects awesomeness. Hope to see you again and maybe get the 5 second insight as you do with the pros. lol.
OMG!!! I used to run on Henry Hudson Drive all the time over about 25 years. I know every inch of that road. And running over the GWB! I'm in North Carolina now and I really miss my old running routes in NJ, that road along the Hudson River is near the top of that list.
Excellent coverage of the Brooklyn Half and your experience in New York with Ben and the great running community of New York. Next year we will see Kofuzi participate in the Brooklyn Half🏃♂️💪
Nice video, I ran the Brooklyn half marathon I’ve watched some of your videos before on running 🏃🏻♂️ got in to race’s last year and I’ve been enjoying it 🏃🏻♂️
i bought a few Novablast 1 on sale. I bought 1 Novablast 2 on sale. I think I am good until 3 comes out! I am a heavy runner that really squishes them down....stability not a problem
So cool to see all the places you passed through on this one! I have 2 Aunts in NJ right by the GW bridge. Then you passed through my cousins neighborhood in Brooklyn, If you'd gone to Jackson Heights in Queens you would have been in my family epicenter! Great race footage too! Keep pushing Mike!
Been so busy lately I must have missed the fact that you were coming in this weekend and I was about to go over to the meet at Icahn when the thunder hit and I bailed crap. SO amazing hopefully next time I can catch you
This was my first half, finished in 1:41! Super hilly in the first 7 miles and brutal humidity. Thankfully the early start meant avoiding the sun at the end. Wish I had ran into you!
You wrote in this video that you did not know Nev from Catfish was a big runner. That is funny, because I saw Nev running races in several old videos by Casey Neistat years ago and I did not know that Nev was an actor!! LOL. Search for Brooklyn Half videos on Casey's channel if you want to see more of Nev in the Brooklyn Half.
This may be my favorite video of yours. You really captured NY running. Your footage just blew me away. Also amazing job running home on Saturday. I hope you got to see the Little Red Light House under the GWB. It was so hot Saturday. I am in awe that you were able to run that far in that heat.
What shoes are those at 10:06? Novablast 2 in a new colorway, or could it be the 3?? Ok, now having finished the video, I definitely think it looks like the Novablast 3. The squish and rebound look nice!
Great video. I love seeing race footage of NYC. It’s crazy how fast they are and yet can still converse easily. I would be dying out there at that pace.
OH wait, who sends these little toddlers out to run errands, and apparently there is a show about this? Anyhow, enjoy your videos so much, Mike, they are looped at my desk every day at work.
Awesome video! Sorry I missed meeting you, Ben and Sarah. I may try out your route from Central Park to Fort Lee - always wondered how to get across the bridge on foot. Btw, I’m fairly certain the fried fish is a staple banchan dish at BCD; I’ve had it every time I’ve been there over the years.
Mike, That was a great video. I watch the track meet live on UA-cam and wished that I drove down to watch it in person its only about 35 miles from my house, but it was pouring rain when I would have had to leave so I didn't go, looks like it was a great meet with a small crowd
I like the mix of travel/event vlogs that you do. It's a good mix that makes me want to eat, run and explore! Also the Novablast 3's look pretty sick.... I also saw someone wearing them at the Believe In The Run/ASICS meetup before Boston Marathon. Definitely a shoe review I'm looking forward to!
Cool video Kofuzi .I didn't know about this Half Marathon in Brooklyn Looked like a fun day to watch some of the race live in person. One race that I would love to watch in NYC that is blazing with talent and speed from different types of runners is the Fifth Avenue Mile Many of the top men finishing in under 4:00 minutes and the Womens is blazing fast also."The Korean food looks flavorful and yummy.Moroccan food is one of my favorites but growing up I ate more typical American food and once in awhile my mom would make nice German dishes. In NYC you can find many local authentic food places from all over. The fog looks like it would be fun to run in despite the humidity of it.
Oh my god ! My favourite food ever is mandu ! I usually help my parents in law every new years! We spend hours making like hundreds of them then we cook Mandu-guk. I also love Miyeok-guk "birthday soup" ! Generally speaking korean cuisine is absolutely amazing. ❤ from London J. 8:35 Where we can buy your T - Shirt ? 🙃
This was pretty cool. I actually ran past you at the start of the race, but didn't shout as you were talking into the camera. Also, I live alongside the west parkway - it's the best flat running in the city and also leads to the best hill running in the city, north from Washington Heights.
The portion with Ben was a bit too short and left something to be desired, but the food segments more than made up for it. Now I am hungry. Hope to see you guys run again soon.
Another wonderful video, although I did have one fun suggestion! You do such a great job literally running all over capturing important running events and the scene in general. Perhaps it’s time for you to host your own race in Chicago? You certainly have the skill, expertise and community support to make it happen. Exciting!
Man do I love 순두부찌개. One of my go-to meals after a long run or on a cold winter day. Add some 참치김밥 and I’m a happy man 😋 Loved this vlog, Mike. Looks like it was a blast!
Didn’t realize you’re 🇰🇷 and you’re parents live in Fort lee. You’re dad’s right, looks like you timed it right with the NJ transit bus but there are also these little shuttle buses that run even more frequently across the bridge.
Yeah. It was the little shuttle bus thing that had me super confused. I didn’t know if that meant like a dude in a church van was going to try and negotiate a fare with me or what
Hey Mike, just stumbled upon your channel and in particular you’re episode on MAF training two years ago. Just curious, are you still incorporating it in your training?
Great to finally meet you Mike and everyone in Brooklyn!! Thank you for the hats and the filming. 🙌 Hopefully see you in Chicago soon!
great to meet you and Sarah too! can't wait to run with you again!
"I have the Novablast 3 on feet, but I'm not able to talk about it yet but let me just flash a few seconds of them on my feet for now.' Loving it!!
When oh when???
For real, it was the most obvious silent reveal. I couldn't see many changes. I have two pair of NB2s so I'm eager to see what the NB3s are all about.
They are allowed to show the shoe now, it will be out in September
Man, what an excellent video. So great finally getting to chat!!
I appreciate that feedback from you, Eric. Great to finally meet in person!
This vlog is a lovely change of pace, the only problem is that now I'm hungry!
definitely experimenting here. I don't usually make a video that spans more than 24 hours' worth of time.
I love it when you do a slightly longer films like this! I hope u get to more events, you capture them so well. 👏🏻
Please make more of these! I love your longer videos - I binge your channel (it's helping me through a stress fracture in my pelvis until I can get running again), and this was a real treat! I'm craving the road and trails, and your videos keep my energy and excitement levels up.
I have a number of trips coming up, so I'm glad people are enjoying this longer format
Love this. I used to live in Fort Lee and always enjoyed running on Henry Hudson Drive. Your video makes me miss North NJ and all the great food there.

I'm thinking next time, I'll bring some trail shoes and run more along the shoreline

I felt very welcome in Brooklyn
Omg dude I love mandu and kimchi! We lived in South Korea for two years and grew to absolutely love Korean food!
Ah, I had no idea. Very cool!

The package pickup was definitely tucked away quite a bit into the park lol.

Loved the vlog. Makes me what to put my runners on and go for a run.
That’s the best compliment for my work
Looks like some fun. I love running Central Park when we vacation up to NYC.

Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed the weekend race vlog from spectator view. Thanks, Mike! See you in Duluth!
I run by the Hudson almost every day! I own a coffeeshop in Edgewater called Kuppi. Swing by next time you're in town :)

what a fantastic finishing time! conditions were intense
Such a great video! I grew up by Prospect Park so it was great seeing you give NYC the 'Chicago' treatment, capturing what a great running town it is!
Man, that was a beautifully shot vlog! Running through NYC looks like so much fun. Those mandus looked delicious.
Love that your dad gives off full-on ajusshi vibes 😃

Looks like a great weekend! Sorry I missed you at the finish, we were cheering on my cousin. It was DEFINITELY a hot one!
Palisades is such a nice place to run and ride the bike. And yea, super hilly. I see you walked the Great Wall segment.
sometimes I run it. sometimes I walk it. it's just wherever the work and recovery phases fall

So cool meeting you at the Brioklyn Half Michael. You’re so cool, love your content.
great to meet you too, Juan!
Macaroni/potato salad ban chan is top tier for me at Korean restaurants. That and the soft egg in a stone pot (계란 찜)
You"re crazy..iwas over 90 degrees ! love the video...
Welcome to the GWB climb! haha
Welcome to NY/NJ! I just started following your channel not long ago.

Yo I saw you on Brooklyn half while I’m on the race and try to say hi to you but you made it left turn.
Awesome video, loved it. Visiting nyc this summer and looking forward to doing some similar runs
Yo, another epic vlog! Those Novablast 3 too 👀🔥
I saw Allie Ostrander too. Is Spencer Brown also on the event?
Yes, he had a pretty good showing at the 1500. Not sure where the time stacks up for him, but I thought it was a well raced event for him

Novablast 3 🔥
Yo, what’s going on!!! Those novablast are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great video 👌🏼
Loving it Mike, really nice to see this footage 👊
I always wondered: Do you ever feel off-balance while filming yourself as you run since you’re only pumping with one arm?
Great Video Kofuzi :)
Got the full NY experience!
dude, you riding the latest ASICS gear? NICE
what is a good everyday running Distance ? is 10km too much?
