I know it sounds excessive but i wish we had cast recordings for replacements in broadway shows. Because I'd listen to this one on REPEAT. They are so amazing!!!!
Only a few cast recordings have been made with replacements. There's Hello Dolly with Pearl Bailey (which is where the Overture comes from) and Kiss Of The Spiderwoman with Vanessa Williams and Brian Stokes Mitchell and Company with Dean Jones' vocals being replaced by Larry Kirk. I think Brooke Shields' vocals replaced Rosie O'Donnell's on a recording of Grease. But I agree; I would listen to this on repeat.
I agree. I'm so lucky I got to see her on the 17th. She was the best Christine I've seen and I've seen the show 3 times. Twice in Chicago with the touring cast and once in New York.
I just watched her with one of the other Raoul's. There's no comparison. Jordan could draw the emotion out of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. He is amazing and she is wonderful. He really enhances her performance. Wonderful!
I was so lucky to have seen Jordan perform at the majestic theatre and I am so sad he is leaving august 1st bc he is honestly one of my favorite Raoul’s of all time!! Love John riddle and I’m gonna be happy to see him live again but still gonna miss Jordan! Julia and Emilie are both rlly great so we are set at Christine but still gonna be rlly sad to see Jordan go so soon

Thank you for this! This is amazing! Awesome performance from both Emilie and Jordan. The cast at the Majestic is the best cast I’ve ever seen, they are incredible and really impressive, I love it. But it’s sad to see Jordan leave at the end of the month. He is one of my favorite Raouls, if not my favorite. John Riddle’s return will be nice, but I wish Jordan would stay for longer he is really great. But I’m glad I had the privilege to see Jordan live while he is here. At least Emilie, Julia, and Ben will still be here for a while so that’s nice. Once again, I appreciate your uploads!
What glorious voices!!! But, why are they holding microphones?? Why not use the head microphones which would allow them so much more freedom of expression.
I imagine that if they were in costume (which would’ve been great) they definitely would’ve had the mics on the foreheads. But as they’re in plain clothes, perhaps they felt it would’ve looked a bit odd to have had stage-style mics on.
