brandon is so natural on camera for how little he does it
I think it also is because he only does videos that he really knows his stuff on so there's no stress there. He's great though, super insightful.
Make sure you all tweet him! @Brandon_Y_Lee
@@ShortCircuit will do!! love the new channel btw, keep it up y'all
@@HeadsetHistorian Funnily enough, I was just watching an LTT live build from four years ago that came up on my recommendations for some reason, and Linus was ragging sarcastically on Brandon about reviewing cameras. Turns out, it works pretty OK :-)
Yeah. He has really improved a lot since his first video.
Short Circuit is rapidly becoming one of my favorite UA-cam channels. Seeing these really quick reviews and impressions are very refreshing and I like being able to see more of the LTT crew get the spotlight to talk about stuff they're passionate about. Keep the videos coming!
Hell Yes! I've been waiting for Brandon to cover this camera! Dude needs to do these a lot more.
Make sure you tweet him!
@@ShortCircuit Give us Luke!
But he didn't actually cover it he only read the spec sheet and told you what button there are which you could do yourself by looking at the pictures on web. A fun video but not at all useful if you actually want to buy it
@@raspas99 Well, yeah. The video is more of an unboxing than a review. That's even stated as the purpose of the channel on their About section
@@Miles300s so, for people who will instead of using the camera unbox it forever? They will get the revenue from the video that needs no preparation and takes 15 minutes to record. Nice. and the people who need to decide if they want to buy this camera will have literally nothing they couldn't get from manufacturers web page. It's a good strategy for them I do admit..
We need more of Brandon Camera Tips.

I'm so glad Brandon got the chance to review this. LMG is full of talented staff in their respective fields and Short Circuit is the best way of showcasing that. I can't wait for him to get his hands on the R5, but also don't forget about the cheaper gear too! Like the recently unveiled XT-200!
I hope to see more videos like this here, I love this!
It's like the other people from LMG can freely speak their opinion on random stuff that they otherwise can't.
This format of just having someone who knows what they're talking about, freely talk about something with what appears to be lacking in a formal script, is quickly making every short circuit upload an instant view for me.
@@MrSomnix It really brings a smile to my face seeing that Brandon really speaks from enthusiasm! This was a very bright idea from LMG!
I just realized this channel has 6 videos hosted by 4 different people congrats on moving beyond reliance on Linus guys can't wait to see what you do next
I think this is what linus was talking about in the retirement video
The kind of content in Short Circuit is reminiscent of old LTT's unbox and try method, sure love to see many regular employee faces coming up here with their interesting gadgets 😊
Videos with Brandon always reminds me exactly how much of a well-oiled machine LTT actually is as well as reminding me that Linus was not alone in crafting said machine. Brandon is a natural on the other side of the lens and should do more vids.
Yes Brandon should get more time in the OTHER side of the camera!
Edit: Wow I got so many likes! Thanks!
I still love his review of the red camera even though I'll never be able to afford it
In a mirror
Yeah i have been missing him he brings info that no one else really talks about
@@pgplaysvidya you may also check his review on Black magic
I'm sure because of this channel where less prepare is needed then normal LTT videos he will definitely appear more.
YES! I actually jumped in my chair when I saw this! I'm actually super excited if we're going to see camera reviews on Short Circuit! Something for us photography nerds!
1:18 - 7:38 :the exposed camera sensor was just bugging me, was that just me?
Nope me too
I felt a weird itching the whole time
It's the kind of thing that mostly bothers me in specialised vids like this, when the person should know better
Yeah, me too. But I was like... If Brandon does it, it's probably fine.
I guess issa review unit
0:50 "Awwwww I always been a Matte Bla-
*angry Linus glare*
Clean Black"
I don't get the joke?
@Nicholas Estrada Is that something Linus disapproves of?
@@Miles300s you're probably joking, but linus and mkbhd have kind of a friendly rivalry going on. so the joke is that brandon is sounding like the competition talking like mkbhd lol
@@chadvallance7707 I haven't ever seen MKBHD, so I'm out of the loop. Ex: I've only seen Bitwit/GN/JaysTwoCents since last month
MKBHD is great!
I really like how this channel is goin! Really love Brandon's camera review
4:47 "So small! So good" - Brandon 2020
This is what LTT was five years ago. I've missed these kinds of videos terribly.
The way Brandon was banging those camera bodies on the table, I was like, "He's worked with Linus wayyyyyy too much!" But then I realized he wasn't actually dropping them on the table...
I'mma be honest, I have no idea what he's saying but I really enjoy listening to him so much. I have no idea why, he just seems... knowledgeable?
Asian to Asian
Brandon Lee watching Brandon Li talking about the camera that we're both super interested in 😅
*insert Spider-Man meme*
@@trickeh2k 😂😂
Man do I want this camera.
I could really use the sensor upgrade from my XT1, but most of all... IBIS, FINALLY...
I wish I had 1.6K to spend on a camera..
I wish the screen was a mirrored xt3 though, I really like fold out screen for waist level shooting
What's Ibis?
@@Miles300s In-Body Image Stabilization. Opens you up to a wider range of lenses while still being able to use the feature. I, for comparison, have a Sony a6300 and their implementation of Image Stabilization lives in the lenses. Means the manufacturer of the lens has to put in the effort of supporting it and typically only the Sony direct ones do.
@@Miles300s A lot of people shoot Fuji cameras with vintage lenses (think 1960 to 1995) on them, because of the dials on top (easy access to all settings) and because of the way they feel.
In body stabilization allows people who shoot vintage lenses to shoot them at slower speed with less shake, meaning it makes vintage lenses even better.
@@Miles300s a wider ranges of lenses means you can use those old lenses from last century. You can find amazing deals and using these lenses is fun. My Fujifilm camera doesn't have IBS but i still have like 5 old primes. I bought one of them for $5 :)
i really love this channel! i still get my regular crazy LTT videos and then just fun little interesting videos on ShortCircuit were the LTT crew talks about interesting products they like or find.
You know, I must say this is probably the best reason to have short circuit. Let LTT be them big projects, I like this nice cozy sit down on a beautiful set with someone who cares a fair bit about the thing they are talking about and give them an hour to unbox and talk about the thing, good work guys.
Aw hell yeah this is a good use of this channel. Love Brandon's videos.
1:03 nearly turned it into Linus review.
you mean the drop tips
Geeez, look at that growth of ShortCircuit, already at 383K 👏 huge kudos guys - and great review, Brandon. Keep 'em coming
Yes!!! Would love for you guys to branch out into other categories..
Sidenote- What about videos for linux/coding/geeky stuff?
Watch Level1Techs for that, as good as Linus's production team is, no one is as knowledgeable in the Linux world as Wendell.
@@caleb-snapsWendell is at another level, but Anthony @ LTT does a great job when he covers Linux related stuff
@@MultiMojo A whole LMG channel run by Anthony dedicated to Linux/servers/code/etc?
Loving this channel, such good videos, and so happy to see another Brandon camera review!
Man I love this channel. It's so relaxing.
2:00 dat camera dongle life tho
Ikr I'm tired of companies removing the headphone jack and adding a dongle if you ship it with a dongle it should have a 3.5 jack
even on a camera? honestly come on. even the legit pro stuff is getting affected now i guess 🤬
YES! camera reviews!
stop pressing the shutter button too much, you'll run out of film.
Hell yea, gunna be real happy if this channel starts doing camera tech too!!
Please more camera and gear stuff.
compare this vs the 90d?
I think their logic around the battery grip having the audio out is that many video shooter want larger batteries so they figured give them that and the audio port they'd want.
Brandon really did a great job. Very articulate and knowledgeable. I know jack about cameras and photography and it made it feel complex but understandable.
i'm glad you guys put out this review, i was already looking at the XT-4 but this has been very helpful in making the choice for me.
I'm loving this channel - this is the type of off-the-cuff content I love to see, and I'm glad you have a place for it.
Loved this video. Brandon is awesome. Please do more camera reviews. On either LTT or Short Circuit.
I love how these videos start with the iconic Doug Demuro's "THIS... is the..."
I'm really liking this format. Simple and to the point.
I'm really loving these videos! Thanks for doing this format :)
Brandon camera reviews, what is this gem? Worth a sub for this alone.
Going to be honest. I love this style of videos. Just get a thing and talk about it. Love it.
This was the most detailed and passionate but the same way the most short(curcuit) review of a camera I've ever seen. Great job, Brandon!
Yes!!! I have been looking forward to another video with Brandon for so long! Short circuit seems like the perfect place for him and new camera tech 😁
7:20 the XT100 has a flip out screen that also is a tilting type, shame that it hasnt been used on any other camera so far
So far i’m loving this channel, right to the point, chill ambiance subtle fitting music it’s just so casual an “homy” Edit: god damn i almost forgot how good a host brandon is!
Half way through this video I got a random nostalgia feel. Probably (after reading comments) because of the excitement of Brandon over the camera and the beautiful set design. Love it guys, keep it up!
shortcircuit becomes my favorite LMG channel it seems. The scriptlessness is so natural. And more screen time for the others is good for all of you!
Yes, please more reviews with Brandon!
i didnt know i needed more Brandon content until now
I'm so happy you made a video about this, I was so sad you guys didn't make more camera related videos after the black magic pocket 4k one
Love this channel. Can't get enough of LTT
I'd be totally cool with Brandon hosting this channel permanently!
I'd prefer the people who are most into and knowledgeable about whatever they're talking about to host each episode. If that means Brandon on this channel constantly then by all means let it happen, but I'd rather it went on a case by case basis and allowed LMG to showcase their talent that aren't always considered "on screen talent".
@@superliljohn91 that's true and I have to agree! Brandon is clearly very talented and knowledgeable when it comes to cameras and perhaps not as much about other tech. Maybe they should look into ordering in more camera stuff so he can make more frequent appearances.
I would love to see him cover some entry level DSLR
That pretty much is an entry level camera for pros. A top tier mirrorless like that is what a pro would pack when they don't want to hassle with the weight of a full frame and it's monster lenses or if they want an ultra portable for video.
If you want entry level mirrorless check out a Sony Alpha a6400, or if you're on a budget check out the older models. I still love my a5000. They are sweet little super portables.
Entry dslrs are dead. Go mirrorless.
man i been looking for a new camera and how enthusiastic u sound about this, makes me wanna get this
this is what ive been liking alot about ltt lately. put someone with knowledge on the subject in front of the camera and hand them a product they would really like and lets learn about it together. good to see brandon making content also
0:51
He nearly betrayed ltt and joined the MKBHD gang😂😂
What?
A) More Brandon on Camera
B) Could we get Brandon On Camera, a channel where Brandon just talks about cameras and how to use em?
I'm so happy to see camera gear content here. More please!
I can't wait to get mine! I want it with the vertical grip, though, I love how my XT-3 feels with the grip, and of course the extra battery life doesn't hurt.
Me watching an asian guy talkabout cameras when I don't even take selfies: he is speaking the language of gods.
Your logic is kind of weird...
@@jakobvanklinken lol i agree, weird
@@jakobvanklinken I'm basically an illiterate in cameras, that's what I tried to say
Brandon making videos on this channel entirely justifies its existence.
This was the camera I was looking forward to. It's got absolutely everything! Thanks for the review.
Good Job LTT folks.
Long time viewer and I'm digging these new video style .
The music, flow, edit n everything. Here n also on LTT.
Way better than 2018-19 update. Kudos.
P.S. Try making more LTT videos like this also.

I had camera conspiracy intro playing by this title "all I want is a perfect camera..."
More Brandon and David!
This channel makes everyone much more natural than the main channel!! Alex was great and now Brandon is great too! Great idea to have this channel way to go!
The background music is amazing. I really loved the style of this specific video. It really does compliment Brandon’s charm!
LMG: hey Brandon, there's a new channel where you can nerd out on cameras.
Brandon: say no more, fam.
Is anyone else kinda anxious about him leaving his sensor out in the open on his other camera
Yup. I couldn't stop looking at it and feeling uncomfortable.
Very

Such a comprehensive review, i'm impressed.
This channel is great. You're making more room for all your talented talent to entertain us. By widening the topics of interest, personalizing the experience and having a relationship w the device, means we get a livelier, more informative performance). You have so many fantastic personalities, giving them a platform is smart.

Brandon's personality is perfect for the Short Circuit format! Great video
Love love love this channel and love brandon!
Finally! Photography related content from LTT. Definitely missed these kind of videos of Brandon.
This was nice! More camera stuff please ^_^
i love to see more shots/videos in different conditions with this camera, more like a real life review.
I am not a camera guy, but holy crap that retro style makes me wanna own one. Beautiful and competent camera!
brandon reviewing cameras would open up a whole new avenue of channels i actively watch, he definitely has the confidence to do it and reminds me of a few other camera reviewers i watch. send him out in to the world with the xt4 for a proper review!
Man, I am loving this new channel.
This is my new favourite channels, intersting random tech video with UA-cam like feel
Just ordered my XT4 :) I'm super excited to try it out!!
Loved the video and the concept of this channel! A while ago I thought about buying the XT3. Mainly because I liked the design and form factor. The 'feel' of a camera is very important to me. The only thing that really was a dealbreaker was the grip though. I would love a full review on the XT4! It looks like it could be a perfect stills+vlogging camera. Any thoughts on the autofocus?
Anyway. Loved the video!
Great seeing Brandon so excited.
Id love to see more audio and camera videos on this channel!!
I really appreciate this channel
Really loved this video. Not a professional photographer but it's so interesting learning what's out there
When I was looking into getting the X-T3 I really wanted the all-black one. Instead, I had to get the silver one and would not go back. It looks incredible in person and adds a very special look that I don't find with many other cameras.
Beautiful unboxing 🌟👌
I think I'm liking shortcircuit more for the more casual and relaxed showcase of tech.
Looks awesome
I'm not a camera nut, but I could listen to someone who is super passionate talk about a product for hours. Great video Brandon!
I love this channel, it's something what LTT was missing :)
Nice video!
Also: as a Nikon shooter for the last 6 years i was thinking a lot about the X-T3 and it became even better... The switch is seriously on the radar now.
Brandon does an excellent job reviewing this camera. He should do more hosting! Definitely learned a lot from Linus 👍
