I cringe every time you say "Jeet Kun DOO". It's pronounced "Jeet Kun DOE". I think you will eventually get the hang of it, as long as you maintain a Jeet CAN DO attitude.
Unless you live under a rock, "do" is "doh" and is linguistically different than "doo". The two sounds aren't synonimous in Chinese or English. So ya...Narrator should have been proof-read.
Here's a weird coincidence. Steve Borden, the wrestler known as Sting, looks a lot like Brandon Lee. If you know about Sting then you can guess why I say it's "weird".
Most of the things in this video are definitely not commonly know about Bruce Lee. With that being said I was familiar with most of them but I had no idea that Bruce Lee suffered from serious back pain due to an exercise accident and that he used hashish and Cannabis in its various forms to cope with his debilitating back pain. I also didn’t know that the flips and somersaults in his later movies like Enter the Dragon were preformed by stunt doubles. This was an excellent video that was extremely informative and as always, I look forward to the next one!
Arch Angel he also had suffered a back injury from cheap shot during a private fight a few years earlier. That injury may have lead to the exercise injury.
Stellvia Heonheim Lee was really into exercise and getting his body in peak condition. He was known to use electrodes on certain muscle groups that contracted and relax in order to continue working out while doing his other projects that involved him being stationary (like when he was writing screenplays). He designed his workouts so that he would never be bulky but to be super toned so that he would not lose any speed. He obviously pushed himself too far one too many times.
Bruce Lee died of Adrenal Failure due to the excessive use of the Steroid Cortisone. He had been using Cortisone for pain relief from the back injury he sustained three years earlier. In the nineteen seventies little was known about the side effects of steroids and there use was unregulated. Taking too much Cortisone can have catastrophic consequences leading to heart attack, stroke and even death. There are tell-tale signs that someone is overusing Cortisone, the first is excessive perspiration. People who habitually take these drugs have been known to have an operation to remove their glands, its a rare procedure but consistent with this type of drug abuse. In November of 1972, Lee underwent a procedure to have his sweat glands removed from under his arms. Lee was also affected by extreme weight loss in the months before he died another indication of overusing Cortisone. He only weighed 125 pounds with a dangerously low 1% body fat. anything under 8% is not recommended. Lee's loss of appetite and weight loss is consistent with Cortisone abuse. Lee was exhibiting other side effects consistent with Cortisol overuse in the months leading up to his death including headaches and a change in skin tone. The cameraman on Enter The Dragon, Charles Low, was actually concerned with Lee's facial colour changes. Another side effect of Cortisone overuse is memory loss, another symptom that Lee was exhibiting. His biographer Davis Miller, says Lee would tell the same person the same story over and over again not remembering that he'd already told them before. He became increasingly short-tempered. He was getting into arguments with crew members. Maria Yi, one of Lee's co-stars said that Lee had bought a new Mercedes and he would take a photograph out of his wallet of the car and show it to her every 20 minutes, forgetting that he had already done so. I think it's very sad that he had no idea what harm he was doing to himself.
People have avoided clicking thinking it's another clickbait, but you guys do your research good and present fact quite well. People will notice eventually. Thank you.

Thank you for this video. A nice channel you got there. I think I watched all the documentary's there are about Bruce Lee and read most of the books. This one here is one of the good. Well done! The Hashish fact is kinda new to me. I knew they found some in the autopsy but couldn't explain it. But when I think of the time and place, and as a pain relief and inspiration - it explains. Also the last Tarantino film gave some new facts and brought Lee back to most of us. There's no doubt that Bruce Lee was a very special human being. I hope his inspiration and motivation will last forever. Visiting his memorials in Seattle and Hong Kong is on top of my bucket list.
Yes @Lootcifer 666 -- you're right, he is pronouncing it wrong -- it is pronounced Jeet Kune (dough) Do. I've had the Tao of Jeet Kune Do book for over 25 years now -- I always refer to it. -dc

It didn't take long for the info to come out. It's just a fact that's not as popular as the others. Every fact in this video is publically known information available even before his death. However, they are just not mentioned as much. People are aware of more myths and "stories" about him than actual facts. Yet for anybody that bothered to do some actual research, they'd know all of this too.
This was a Legend. Hollywood/Entertainment Industry definitely messed over him. R.I.P. to both him and his son. They were both talented, sexy men. They left us too soon🥋🥋
Need to realize Bruce is one of the 13 original blood lines. One of the elite. I was a fan of his, but everything they tell us about Bruce is a story, not the story.
They did not want them taking the hollywood scene from the white folf. Hollywood wanted a martial arts hero that was wholsome American. None of them could touch Bruce.
@@dougd936 What are you talking about? Why would the Hollywood elite murder Brandon Lee in 1993 after Bruce Lee anyway? He basically looked white anyway. Your theory is bullshit.
I was stationed down at Camp Pendleton in 1974.....fresh out of Marine Corps boot camp, when I first heard of him. There was this little theater in Oceanside ( just outside of the base ).....and they would do double or triple-features of Kung Fu movies. There was usually at least one Bruce Lee film thrown into the mix. 'Fists of Fury' was the 1st one I remember seeing.
@@195511SM I've always been seriously interested in the martial arts and have been training formally for the past 6 years now, and counting despite a serious back injury of my own. (Believe it or not, I'm currently 26.) My first exposure to Bruce Lee was when I was 8 years old on Christmas. My dad got me a box set of Bruce Lee's movies, and the first one I saw was, "Chinese Connection." I love all of Bruce's movies (although after seeing this video, I like Game of Death a little less now that I know they were so disrespectful as to how they got the funeral footage.) but the first one I ever saw is still my favorite. Part of it is nostalgia, but I really liked the storyline and the mystery, and the scene where he interrogates a man and then kills an attacker in one punch was so intense that it really sold Bruce's skills for me. On a Side-Note: Jet Li even starred in an interpretation of that specific Bruce Lee film, and the title was, "Fist of Legend." It's actually a really great film in it's own right. I think Donnie Yen was in a similar film that was also a re-telling of the movie, but I haven't seen much of it. Another fact about Bruce Lee that I wish they had mentioned was the infamous Bruce Lee copy-cat films that became known as, "Bruce-spoliation." I remember seeing one of them as a kid, and when I found out that they were made after his death and why, I was infuriated by their greed and I still am. To this day I still can't condone that rampant greed, but I love the movies that genuinely respect and aim to honor him and who he was, like the film, "Dragon," for example. I'm actually starting to write a biography on the man himself, capping it off with details on his art and also his influence on me as a martial artist and as a person. Bruce truly is the man and the legend, and for me as well as so many others, he always will be.

I was trying very hard to refrain from commenting this lol.
This man really said “jeet kune doo” 😂
You never made a mistake? Idiot
He also said about a thousand other words too in this video.
Unless you live under a rock, "do" is "doh" and is linguistically different than "doo". The two sounds aren't synonimous in Chinese or English. So ya...Narrator should have been proof-read.
@@JonJon-wi2dh Really? Well, he also gave the wrong name for the cemetery. It's Lake VIEW. If someone is giving "facts", they should have them RIGHT.
Dahg if he were still alive he would probably be a guest in Mike Tyson's HotBoxing podcast 😂😂😂 and I'm sure it would be very interesting!
damn that would be a great podcast..tyson and lee.
Bruce and his son Brandon were both pretty hot! Tragic that they both passed away too young.
And both without finishing their last movie. Eeeerry!
Here's a weird coincidence. Steve Borden, the wrestler known as Sting, looks a lot like Brandon Lee.
If you know about Sting then you can guess why I say it's "weird".
CommentCop Badge#666 I’m curious about what you mean. Aside from the looks, what else?
I think it's very sad that he had no idea what harm he was doing to himself.
very cool video i love it😍
This is Golden, great video.
People have avoided clicking thinking it's another clickbait, but you guys do your research good and present fact quite well. People will notice eventually. Thank you.
Great great post. Other than the Joe Pesci video this is the best. Nothing will ever top the Pesci video. But this was awesome.

Very cool and very interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job guys!!
I mean, his mom thought the evil spirits didn’t like the male members of the Lee family, it doesn’t seem like she was exactly wrong considering what happened to him as well as his son
Why do you keep saying Jeet Kune “du”????
Yes @Lootcifer 666 -- you're right, he is pronouncing it wrong -- it is pronounced Jeet Kune (dough) Do. I've had the Tao of Jeet Kune Do book for over 25 years now -- I always refer to it. -dc
Thank God someone else said something. I growled every time the narrator said it. You would think since they were researching Bruce Lee's life they would get that right. smh
Lol its hilarious how he pronounces it.
@BENNY HILL LOL YOU ALRIGHT, BRO?
yes!! how annoying....
Always love Bruce Lee and miss him dearly. To me he will always be the best!!!
This was great!!! Did anyone see the life of Bruce Lee on Netflix?
Wow so Bruce Lee was a stoner ! He has gone up in my estimation. But also cheating on his wife ...bruuuuce!! Always will be a legend
gravy boat yeah I love Bruce lee but cheating on his wife, can’t agree with that. Wrong on so many levels. But hey everyone makes mistakes I guess. Just hope she never found out
@Tong Zou I expected a guy with the philosophies of Bruce Lee wouldn't be a cheat on his wife !
@@gravyboat2370 I am shocked to learn about all these...sad to learn because I have lot of respect for this legend and my super hero!!

Bruce Lee's pain tolerance was otherworldly.
Jim Kelly and Joe Lewis both in interviews spoke about how great of a fighter Bruce Lee was when he

The good morning is not a squatting motion. It's a forward bending motion where you hinge at the waist. It's to exercise the lower back and hamstrings. It is considered a risky exercise if you don't warmup properly.
Danimal do your own podcast. I bet it'd be awesome with awesome guests.
To date, Bruce Lee is the best Kato and the Green Hornet tv show from the 1960s is the best adaptation yet. I grew up watching reruns of the Green Hornet and I absolutely loved it! That was my first introduction to Bruce Lee and after that I sought out Bruce Lee films like Enter the Dragon and the unfinished Game Of Death which are both fantastic! It’s a shame he died so young because he had so much more to offer. He was a legend back then and he’s even a bigger legend now!
So many errors here. You didn't do enough research into his life.
Need one done from you now Beerdy!
I agree this video is lots of crap, but you do the same in your videos.

Did bruce lee cheat on his wife?
@@b_08_amitkumarsahu90 Yes he did and he had several male lovers as well!

I'm shocked, this video actually had a lot of stuff I didnt know.
He was way ahead of it’s time, clearly the best ever 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Respect to Navy SEALs, Army Delta, British SAS and all the other SOF--but Bruce Lee will always be my ultimate warrior.
Bruce couldn't even pass a basic medical for the military, he's got nothing on these guys. Stop being silly.
Bruce Lee is the year of the dragon same my friend 🔥
So was he ever acquainted with Ip Man? I'm surprised there's no mention at all
Yes he was
It's known.
Bruce once was asked who would he hate to go up against. He replied, "Mahamaad Ali"!
Chuck Norris makes Bruce Lee jokes...this man was a total badass.. taken way to early in life
Chuck is jealous of Bruce
@@misterrees Chuck is a real martial artist. Bruce Lee was an actor. Big difference.
@@wishiwassleeping8382 both are actors and martial artists. Bruce had a school and taught people all over the world even military. Chuck never had a school.
@@misterrees I could open a martial arts school today with no training. Anyone could. Do you have any idea how many frauds are operating martial arts schools right now? “17 Things You Didn’t Know About Bruce Lee”
Me, who knows nothing about Bruce Lee: oh, word?
Ppl always bitch about him never fighting in a tournament. A tournament of what? Judo?
Karate? Boxing? He was basically practicing MMA. And it only took the rest of the world 30 years to catch up.
very nice , well done
I never knew Bruce was living with his Sister in Seattle, Washington! I wonder why it so long for this information to come out 🤔
I have visited the grave site of Bruce and Brandon Lee. They are right next to each other. It is sad such a loss.
Very good job on this!
If true and factual this is very interesting
This was a Legend. Hollywood/Entertainment Industry definitely messed over him. R.I.P. to both him and his son. They were both talented, sexy men. They left us too soon🥋🥋
Squats and good mornings are completely different moves
True story.
Exactly. No way he would have hurt himself doing squats with 130 lbs. but a good morning at 130 is a whole 'nother matter.

THEY MURDERED BOTH BRUCE & BRANDON...ITS NO SECRET...

Myth...
@@JMARTIN1947 and artem lobov
@@dougd936 What are you talking about? Why would the Hollywood elite murder Brandon Lee in 1993 after Bruce Lee anyway? He basically looked white anyway. Your theory is bullshit.
I learn something new, very good
I always read and and watch history about Bruce lee, but honestly I never once watch any of his film 😗
My dad got me a box set of Bruce Lee's movies, and the first one I saw was, "Chinese Connection."
I love all of Bruce's movies (although after seeing this video, I like Game of Death a little less now that I know they were so disrespectful as to how they got the funeral footage.) but the first one I ever saw is still my favorite.
Watch the film with him and Norris fighting in Rome. That and Chinese Connection are the 2 best Bruce Lee films.
As soon as I pulled up the comments you mentioned phoenix and I was like OK there you go lol
