A highly inspiring food for thought for us as to why we are intrinsically secular and liberal as it ingrained in our culture. Needless to reiterate the fact that all your lectures are thoroughly researched and well planned hon'ble sir.
I think he is not very aware of Buddhism in India. He was glorifying India that Asian countries obtained from India the Buddhist religion. Visitors from those countries came to learn about Buddhism. He did not mention any word about the demise of Buddhism in India. When Huen Tsian visited India 6th Century AD, Buddhism was already sliding to extinction in India due to rise of Brahmanism.
@@RahulYadav-uv8fz I am glad to be a neutral mediator here, i am not Indian, neither british, neither buddhist or hinduist , and i have no take in any of these groups. This lecturer is of jewish stock which probably has some significance in his pre-conceived views. I don't recall him lecturing about the Buddha. The jewish religion despises christianism and sees Jesus as a prophet opposing them. In fact he did. Many people including famous historical Indian swamis say that Jesus spend 18 years in India in his youth and learned from gurus. There the analogy with the Buddha who came later on is unwelcome for jewish scholars. Jesus and the Buddha might be too much alike which makes them both unpopular for jews. I see corrupted Buddhism even today especially in Thailand. Thai monks are the most corrupt of all buddhist monks. I met one senior thai monk, he was a very arrogant, strong ego, spiteful little man.

Interesting to know about Champa & Bali.
It's aggravating how every single video in this serie has a fucked up audio. The technician at IIT Kanpur responsible did not do his job.
