I tell ya what I think. Small margins. If we put away a few of them chances against the Mancs and buried a couple of chances yesterday against Palace we’d be rockin’ and bouncing off the walls. But , small margins and we come up short and it’s all let’s dissect the club from top to bottom.

Nunez is missing far too many chances for a club like Liverpool. Evaluate him again at the end of season.

He shouldnt be our main striker he should be super sub or slogging it out with diaz for a position on the left, i prefer him coming in from left anyway, just my view, he is the worst finisher at the club. I hope gakpo gets a few starts in a consistent position hes look hungry lately and if nunez seems to deserve to start every game so does gakpo.

Van Dijk is our captain...the best around or at least one of the best I don't blame Virg one bit I would lean towards KONATE for that goal against palace his marking was dire again at the goal..he looks a shell of himself Iboue..Should have made Trent Alexander Arnold Captain if there was to be a change.. His time will come...We have been hit with Injuries at a bad time in the season aswell...As disappointing the result was we actually had a real go in 2nd half but chances keep going a begging...I say keep the faith in this team..We aren't far away Ynwa❤

Yeah, blaming the wrong people here. VVD has had a great season for us. I want to see him stay on for at least 3 more years. The problem is that the players we brought in who are supposed to be in their prime are failing to deliver. Salah and VVD are not the problem. We still need replacements for Bobby and Mane. The players we brought in are not good enough.

The transition in leadership in the team is what has put the team off this season, I feel, and not the quality of this current team.

You are well over the top in your reaction to VVD and Mo. VVD has been brilliant both as a player and captain this season. What did you say after the cup final when he left the team and scored the winner? There's a different conversation about Mo. He was brilliant first half but performance wise has dropped off. Obviously there will be conversations if he wants to stay on or not. Mo has not lost his hunger or his fitness despite his age. This has been lazy analysis after a poor week!
VVD is the only one qualified to be the captain in that team

I agree with you 100% Craig I would sell VVD and Salah this summer for sure. Add Konate and Ksimikas as well. VVD sets the tone for the rest of the team with his lethargic laid back complacent attitude. Give the captaincy to Robbo. Hope the new manager builds the team from the back cos much as we luv Klopp he has no idea how to set up a team defensively. Of late we always look as if we are going to concede right from kick off.
I do feel that the Klopp era does actually need to end now.

The team is far too casual at the back, too many back passes, sideways passes and too much time taken getting forward. There doesn’t seem to be any urgency to attack, we need to play in the opposition half more often, we need to keep possession of the ball more often, we need to improve our shooting accuracy, we need to shoot more often when in the penalty area.
As for Mo Salah, he’s certainly lost a lot of his pace/x-factor, and maybe play him as a central attacking midfielder.
I would put Trent as the right sided midfielder with an option of roaming around the pitch.
Up front, I would have Diaz, Jota and Núñez/Gakpo.
Midfield of Trent, Macca, Mo Salah and Endo.
Back four of Bradley, Quansah, Van Dijk and Robbo.
Let’s have “HEAVY METAL FOOTBALL” back please, and let’s again score GOALS!!!!!!!!!
If Nunez is world class in Portugal then is Amorim really a world class manager?
The shortest and easiest way of venting one's anger is finding scapegoat for the misery. Instead of investigating the root cause for our despicable performance, some people blatantly put the dice on Van Dyke and Nunez who stand as a corner stones of our Liverpool. Although there may be more conspicuous causes 8:19 for our miserable predicament, I think correcting the following mistakes could help us rectify our performances in the coming games.
1. Our way of playing has become so predictable that it is easy for our opponents to nullify us. Can't Klopp come out with different game plan for different opponents.
2. Attempting to play with three defence has created a huge hole to our defense system. You can't use 3-4-3 system without real practice. Until they master this system, Klopp should resort to his 4-3-3 system.
3. The midfield is the brain and engine room of the game. If you control the midfield, you control the outcome of the game. Endo has lost his luster and energy. I don't think he is redeemable nor is Jones. Macalester and Elliot are dependable. Field another midfielder from the young academy offshoots. This could be more productive.
4. Konate has been awful lately. Replace him with Quansa.
5. As I repeatedly alleged, Salah is a liability to the team. We are more coherent and aggressive without him. Klopp is not bold enough to bench Salah and we are paying dearly for it. Just because he has wide fan base doesn't guarantee him an automatic first Xl. Because he isn't performing anything, we are technically playing with 10 players instead of 11.
6. Diaz, Nunez and Jota should line up for the coming games. Maybe, a big maybe, we could do something with our 3-0 deficit.
7. I think, the big fall of form and fatigue, could be associated with the departure of Klopp. For a few of them, they think they may have no chance to be in the first Xl. Maybe there will not be any favoritism.
I want to see a front 3 of Darwin (LW), Diaz (RW), Jota (ST) vs Atalanta with Salah, Gakpo and Danns on the bench

All great players have to go at some point, but it's better to get a good fee while you can. The time has come for me, to cash in on Salah. Let Virgil do what he does best, defend without pressure. Robbo should be captain.

We have a very good team, but now most of our player are tired maybe too much injury and a lot of 50/50 decision against us will decide the final result.

Virg is a good player.. but a lot comes with being a captain And leading from the back. You just have to scream at your back lines always to coordinate them
There's a lack of leadership throughout. Robbo did well, Diaz did well, otherwise not a single outfield looked like he was sick of this and was going to run through a wall, irrespective of what anyone else was doing.

We seem to run out of steam at the end of the season. All of the injuries haven't helped but some players are living on the past deeds. The players that are only just coming back are not match fit and it shows.
Before we tear our team and its manager apart, let's remember that we have come from a no.6 position to serious contenders and that we were midtable and JK tranaformed us to perennial power horses both in Europe and in Epl.
Our boys are not machines but humans.

VVD is hardly in the McGuire territory of incontinency... Tough season injuries and tiredness with the chaos of Klopp leaving was going to have an effect on the team as a whole. Team is due a re shape and some new changes. But reading into the this too much is a bit much considering the success we have seen over the years.
Given liverpool have had many injuries and had to play kids playing with a brand new midfield. They have done fantastically well . The problem is klops style of play you cant do that over 60 games he cant keep players fit .
I think you've got to give the new manager carte blanche to change what he wants. I don't personally think VVD is a problem. He's lost focus but he's still a good defender and there's no question about his ability. I'm more concerned about Salah. His time is clearly coming to an end and his performances this season have dropped off significantly.

Ever since Salah has come back our form has gone,This season we have over performed as we were not expected to challenge for the league our aim was champions league at the start of the season,We have many players who have not been in this position before,only virgil,andy robertson and mo salah.the whole of the midfield is new,I think it has been a really good season and looking forward to next season

If the wing backs are going forward at every opportunity and the full backs are standing on the half way line it’s no wonder that the ball over the top into space is the Achilles heal.
Salah should have gone last year. VVD still has 3 good years in him. He needs his forwards to be clinical in front of goal. Simple as that. Nunez and Diaz run around like headless chickens but need to score often.
We will change dramatically next season for the better, 3 at the back, more security, Leverkusen, Sporting & Inter Milan play it, all will be champions of their league this season. Sell Salah for as much as possible plus the transfer kitty & let Amorim rebuild, Van Dijk squad man now, we need two centre halves.
The end of a cycle. Time to renew....with a new manager, some new tactics and some new players. Also time to get rid of those that aren't really up to this level....Darwin, for a start, and then who knows, it all depends on Amorim. For me, only Robbo, TAA, Macca and Alison are safe......the others need to show that they're serious.....

Changes need to be made, Jota should be our go to 9 , he should be starting more games. Give Gakpo a chance to play 7 or 11 , he's much better on the wings. Granvenbech should be given more game time and so God sake stop putting the kids in our starting lineup

Four points that you need to consider. First, Klopp is leaving, mentally the players are in shock. Second, Liverpool needs a truth 10 player. Third, Salah needs to understand that he is playing for a team no for himself -pass the LOVELY ball. Lastly, Liverpool needs a better central defender. I wholeheartedly agree with this take. This is the time we need the big players Virg, Trent, Salah, Robbo and Alli to step up. Jordan Henderson wouldn’t accept performances like this and neither should they irrespective of the managerial appointment or our position in the league.

Virgil lost interest & Salah was so selfish. Salah did not pass the ball to other players who in good position infront of the goal. Both , they should go. They got old as well.

liverpool have lost 5 games ALL SEASONS.......yet we act like we are losing week in and out.... taking the armband off the captain for a loss. He cant make nunez, diaz, jota, gakpo, etc. put in their chances. As well if curtis had scored we would have been having a different conversation.
