I love how excited you are with this reaction! This is how I feel when I watch it! Everyone else overlooks the little nuances here! Go back and listen for the Matt parts, they're here! Good headphones will let you hear him! Everyone did a fantastic job in this video!
i saw them live on saturday! they had lindsays part played in the background and showed her on the screen and kevin played the cello live and matt did the drums while the rest of them sang. scott played piano for thank you
@@grase99 I can't go since I'm not in the US, but in the videos I've seen Scott plays piano for a couple of the sections (when he's not singing). And yes, of course he plays for Thank You
@@grase99 here's a video where you can see him play the piano between the two verses and during the end section: ua-cam.com/video/SlPGThJAPuo/v-deo.html
This was so unexpected and so good. Wow. I remember their collab with Lindsey on Radioactive years ago and it just shows the growth of PTX to see what they are capable of doing now. Loved it!
Yesss!!! I have yet to find anyone saying that it has a Celtic vibe. I really think adding that Celtic sound made the song pop in such a beautiful and breathtaking way. The arrangement was soooo on point and the video is spectacular!
So dynamic & artistic! Are the Grammy Award peeps watching? I think the 2023 Grammy Awards should be totally filled with these end of the year 2021 a capella group nominations! All of them have dropped some AWESOME music & videos fhís Fall/Winter! 💖
If only they had a separate category for a cappella but they don’t. They created a place to let Ptx be nominated the first year Ptx won one for daft punk arrangement but ended up including their category mixed with instrumental songs. So many instrumentals get nominated, the a cappella tends to get overlooked.
Scott was definitely feeling it in this piece. And they didn't even show a full body shot of him, but thanks to the bts photos and tiktoks we know he was wearing those tall platform shoes. :)
@@supposedly1-2 He's been wearing them quite a bit in recent months. He also wore them for the Queen special and at the afterparty after his performance at Carnegie Hall with Jessica Vosk.
Thanks for a great reaction. I believe this is the 3rd collab they did with Lindsay. Radioactive was 1st and Papaoutai was 2nd. If you haven't already, please react to Papaoutai. It's in French and absolutely awesome!
lol River Dance is definitely a dance Scott wouldn't be good at. the whole point of it is fast feet, but your entire upper body can't move. And Scott can't sing without moving his hands, so....
I was wondering about his statement also because i could hear Matt being amazing in the video. Maybe his headphones weren't working properly when he filmed his reaction.
I just saw Pentatonix in concert less than two weeks ago and Scott said that they have instruments because they can. Kevin is a master cellist. We know they can sing a cappella. We say every Pentatonix song is our favorite, this Christmas they have put out a new level Thanks for the reaction
There are actually 12 verses to this song. Great reaction! I saw them in concert last week and they did this song with Lindsey virtually on the jumbo-tron.
scott said something in the before the premier video about each one of them was supposed to represent a season? i didn't see it but i was distracted by the spanish moss on the floor that they were standing in lol
I shared the official video for this on Facebook and said, Only Pentatonix could date a really old nursery rhyme/song and make it totally BADASS!! Lol
Everyone was just remarkably amazing in this, but can we just take a moment to talk about how hauntingly gorgeous Kirstie is in this?!

They do this on tour with Kevin on cello, Scott on piano (for part of it) and Matt on drum.

Certainly not our grandparents version, now is it? Nope! LOL I think it's so different it's EPIC!
Loved it since I first saw it. Reminds me of Game of Thrones or old Celtic times. Love listening to it. Great reaction.

he's wearing those heels in the evergreen video that they released it was weird seeing him in heels standing next to Mitch without heels.

I saw Scott as being the master of the River Dance

Great reaction thank you I agree this is just awesome haha love that Scott a villan 😊
So glad you did tonix Tuesday I've missed them. Also missing your Superfruit Saturday's!
You clearly were not listening if you didn't notice and appreciate Matt's thunderous bass in this. Half the drama would be gone without it.

@@vidsorama2 That's not the first time. I don't think these are headphones after all.

This song is just pure joy to me. 🙌🏻
I love where they took this one! 12 days and we get to see them ❤️
I love your background! Epic musicals!!❣️❣️
They built this on The Last Bison's version, PTX elevated with their shining voices & dramatic visuals 💚
Chris Rupp: Christmas in California is fun, all about how different it is to Minnesota! 😁
I love the drama.
EPIC!
The musical score is a classic Celtic reel -- a type of country dance. To be accompanied by drums when on the march.

I love your smile and laugh
Wish you would do more reactions to their live performances.
I never considered this a nursery rhyme. It has always been a Christmas song in my neck of the woods. Baby boomer from the US
Matt didn’t have a lot to do? You really need to listen again.
Needed more shots of Matt but an otherwise amazing song and video.
