Hey Pete, we met last night at your job..........Man you are tearing that bass up!! Awesome video!! I can't wait to see you guys play on the 16th!! Hope that one day I will be able to play this good! ~ Cindy
Just heard the news that Pete Corum passed away yesterday. A great friend, musician, and a great fellow. He use to play for Grand Ole Opry Lester Flatt.
No, really? I worked with him in Branson and he was always a good friend. Always a smile and a smart quip to always make you laugh. So sad to hear of his passing 😢
Met Pete today in Concord Mills, Charlotte, NC. It was a genuine pleasure to converse with him. We gave him a small gift, his first British Pound Coin. :) Hope he plays in the UK one day. All the best, Pete.
Stout! Never picked with him but im pretty sure we talked about pickin at my local bass pro shop. He was working there i believe. Been a while though. Good dude! Hate to hear he passed. Lord. Ive still got his phone number in my phone i think.
From the land of earthquake, tsunami & nuke pollution. I saw Pete all the way back in 1978 when he was playing with the late Lester Flatt band. I remember he sang this tune at Pinnacle - NC festival. Great. Harry
why does everyone play the animals version? hell yea the animals rocked with their song, go look it up, and im adicted to their fricking song...but ive been looking for so long for the other version, and its nowhere
Everything about this video is laughable... except for the music. But, seriously, where the hell was this taped? It looks like some public access station decorated with the latest in clearance items from K-Mart.
This is the best version of this song. Been coming back to it for over 14 years. It slaps harder than Pete slapping that stand up bass
This man is the best upright bass player I've ever seen in my life.
Wonderful man, musician & friend..Youll be so missed Pete!!
Been coming to this for 14 years

I think I first heard him doing this number on an old album with Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass. It was nice to see him do it "live".
