I've seen Flambeau perform live several times in the Bay Area and Sacramento, and they are wonderful. Watching Caroline on the piano, I'm amazed that a human can move hands and fingers that fast.
Love it...deep in my soul. Reminds me of the old days...Eric his Animals doing this right in the '60's. You guys are so darn good! Thanks for coming to Olympia, WA ...please come back anytime.
When I saw him play this song years ago at the Redwood Run in Humboldt County, CA, he talked about how there was some controversy about who had written this song. Dylan and Eric Burdon had both claimed it, although it is an old traditional tune and nobody knows who wrote it. Rigney said "I think I wrote it!" In any case he does a great job with the tune, and every other tune he plays.
Being a sideman myself I would appreciate it if music posters would not only mention one name, if we all hear a full band. Bands are democracies not dictatorships.
