I've had friends reach out to me asking things like "What's so good about country, anyways?" or "Who are some good country artists?" and without thinking, I always respond "George Strait." But on top of his silky smooth voice and the southern accent combined with his GREAT songs, George is the ultimate southern gentlemen. Just look at the way he converses with Miranda. This show isn't about him. It's about him, his band, and Miranda. And you can tell he feels genuinely excited to have her on stage with him and share the spotlight. Furthermore, he doesn't try to sing overtop of her. A) because that's not his style and B) He's helping out a fellow friend/artist. He's giving her a large part of the spotlight and he's happy to do it. Why? Because George Strait is a boss. He doesn't get enough credit for what he's contributed to the country music genre over his lifetime. Great musician, even better man.

Seeing "The King" live at PNC Arts in Holmdel NJ in 2007 was one of the greatest concerts I have been to. His live performances sounds as good as the studio versions! And he’s a an absolute gentleman also !

This was a big blessing for me to watch....done watched it back to back many times now..very very awesome performances..Thank you so so much! Harmonies are the terrific! I play guitar and sing . And always I am looking on youtube enjoying live performances....totally a gift to find this one ..
