Hi Barbara. Thanks for the great solar light ideas. I picked up a few solar lights at the dollar tree not too long ago intending to use them to craft but I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do with them. Your ideas are really great, and now that it’s getting to be warmer outside, I know that I’ll have some really great outdoor decorations for my patio table. I especially like that idea of mixing the food coloring with mod podge. Thanks again for sharing! PS-you asked if anybody had any ideas about how to keep from having those little patches of glue between your twine after you pop the balloon. Years ago when my children were small, we made twine covered balloons as a rainy day project. But instead of dipping the twine in glue, we dipped it in starch. That way, after we popped the balloon there was nothing between the twine pieces -no glue, and nothing to dig out. The starch stayed really stiff and held the twine quite well. Afterwards, my son and daughter brushed some glue onto the twine and sprinkled glitter onto the twine balls. It was a cute little project to do for the holidays.
I love the DT solars! A dab of clear nail polish in the solar panel helps to keep them for clouding. Or in some cases I use one of a 4-pack of little glass bowls to cover the and keep water out of the glass it sits in.
Great diy...I love solar light projects....those vases with the stones are stunning....that bowl in the garden is sooooo great. You never disappoint....👍
I really loved all of these! They all turned out really beautiful! I will be attempting to make a few of these, but can't decide which ones yet 😊 Thank you so much for sharing and for the ideas ♥♥
Thanks for your great ideas. I have many different kinds of solar lights and animals in my yard. I have the ones that you have on the stairs and I like. I have a large faux wood barrel and I think I'll make the one with the 2 lights. Have a great weekend 😊 ❤️
New subscriber.. I see many “DIY” channels.. I am highly, highly impressed with your channel. You have original ideas and you explain things clearly. And most importantly. (I don’t want to be rude or insulting) Your projects don’t look “cheapee or junkie”. Thank you for sharing. Im already binging watching your videos
Definitely will say to use the silicone around the solar light glued in the hanging mason jar… I made one of these last year and put sand and a few pieces of shelves and greenery at the bottom. Unfortunately even with using super glue/e6000 to hold it down, water still managed to get in
Flip one of your planters upside down and glue...with E-6000...the other one to it, bottoms together, to make a taller version! The seam could be concealed with jute/rope.
I like the one with the blue pebbles and shells. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 💕
Love the vase and bowl with the glass discs glued on. Seashell lantern is a great idea too!
Thanks so much! 😊

Perhaps add a sealant on the twine spheres to leave them outdoor?
What a great idea, thank you ♥

The string lights could probably be spray painted with outdoor paint too.
I use starch on my balloon
Wonder how #5 would work putting the light inside of a ballon?
