Hi Jim . Great work mate. I guess you bought a cutting file from Rick. How did you cut it out. Cheers David

Hello David, I sent my cnc cutting files to Aalco who also supplied the metal. Arrived on a pallet a week or so after my order.
Since then I’ve been put onto a firm in Holland that can profile cheaper but the additional carriage means it would only make sense on a volume order.

@@jimdavey871 I live in holland, what is the companys name? And how much did this project cost for you? Also did you weld it yourself?

@@atze9417 hi, the company that designed the boat is Metal Boat Kits in Canada. They sold me the cnc cutting file I had a local profiler supply and cut the aluminium for me. And yes I welded it myself.

Hi Andrew, I run a welding supply shop and the project has been worked on over a number of years so I’ve used several welders to complete the hull. Mainly an EWM pulse mig but I’ve also used various tig sets for modifications and additions later on. For more info contact me at rhdaveyweling.co.uk

Hi ! I liked the 12 a lot. I would like to know how much the kit cost to assemble. How much it weighs. Thank you and congratulations.

The hull cost about £1,500 in the end, metal, mig/tig wire and gas. Then probably twice as much again for everything else, seats, engine, helm, electrics etc…

Oh, and before I started departing from the original plans the boat hull was about 120kg.

Hello Jim. Do you have CNC plans for the boat?

    • @jimdavey871

Hi, I bought the rights to have one hull kit cut. I instructed my profiler to delete the cutting file after my kit was completed as per the contract with Metal Boat Kits.
