ER, great review! I am a waiter and I will let you know that a screw top on a bottle of wine does not indicate that the wine is not of good quality. A lot of reputable winemakers are doing this because of several reasons. 1. There is a shortage on cork trees. 2. The wine keeps better during the storage process. 3. Cork was a live organism at one time, so you can end up with bacteria in the cork which causes a wine to "turn" or become sour. The one thing you do lose when using a screw top, unfortunately, is the "sexiness and romance" of opening a bottle of wine. It's unfortunate, but most people think because the wine has a screw top, that it is a bad or cheap wine.
"is the "sexiness and romance" of opening a bottle of wine" The last two corked bottles I tried to open, the corkscrew failed to grip and just tore through the cork instead of pulling it out. I eventually managed to get them out with a knife. Not particularly sexy or romantic :-P Give me screw-tops any day. Easily resealable too!
I absolutely LOVE that you include us in your videos. You always ask how we are, and it all feels very personal and genuinely caring. It makes me even more relaxed. I feel like im just popping over to hang out with my friend Ephemeral and we keeping it down because your wife and son are asleep or something. Amazing.
The wine develops flavour once open to air so the reason why you could taste the berry aspect after the toblerone is because you topped up the glass with the fresh wine from the bottle.
I really liked this sort of role-play thing were I can imagine that I am there. It's kind of funny he passes me a wine and chocolate that I can't eat, but it just drew me into the video. Nice job as always, ER!
My dad's friend works at Mini (the car manufacturer) which means he is often in Germany. A couple of times when he's come back to England he's brought with him a box of Ritter's chocolates of different flavours. From what I can remember there was a mint flavour as well as a couple of different types of nut, but all of them tasted great. Thanks for the video, Paul!
Second time I'm back to this video. I'm an Aussie so it was cool you enjoyed an Australian wine. Some of the best wines are made in Australia and NZ (our lonesome, oceanic neighbour!). I loved this video.. That's why I am back! I love your honesty in discussing these products. You say it how you feel it. A no BS talk about wine and choc! Oh and the ASMR was lovely!! Thanks, man.
Hey ER i'm from Germany and i can tell you that Ritter Sport is very popular, especially because there are many different varieties. Personally i like the Ritter Sport with marzipan. Also the Lindt Lindor Chocolate is very famous here in Germany but it is mostly bought at christmas time and Easter. Lindt is a kind of noble brand for chocolate, i mean its the most delicious chocolate i have ever eaten. I hope you enjoyed the Lindt chocolate as much as i did. :D
The more you learn about wine the more you realize that most of it is overemphasized BS, but the more you learn, the more time/expense you invest, and don't want to go to waste, so you uphold the BS. Your method of choosing wine is as good as any buddy. Love the videos!
I've been interested in ASMR for a while now but have had difficulty finding the right channel, due mostly in part to the voice of the speaker. But I think I've found my new favorite! Not to mention I was already drinking some Cabernet Sauvignon when I stumbled across this!
just subscribed to this channel , very relaxing , like the fact that the video is longer than most other asmr videos , because when you like one obviously there over quickly , really well done , looking forward to seeing more videos , thanks .....
Hey, Ephem! One thing you have to try (and would probably have to special order) are Seely Mint Patties. They're hand-made dark chocolate mint patties that are made here in Oregon on a family-owned mint farm. They are beyond good.
Ooooh you opened the Ritter Sport chocolat wrong :D I, as a German, it needs to know ;) (Due to the fact that you are really nice and sympathetic, I suppose, that you are a great father... keep it up!)
While it is more common for cheaper wines to have screw caps, there is an increasing notion that screw caps actually seal the wine better and eliminate the possibility of things like cork taint and the development of faults.
Long time subscriber now. Just love these. I often fall asleep but not before hearing what you have to say about the beer (or wine). I'm 17 so I don't drink but I hope you keep doing these. Their my favorite.
Going to my native village in greece for a 5 week vacation. The only thing I'm gonna miss about home (the netherlands) is the free wifi> unlimited access to asmr... But when I return i'll have about 35 new ephemeral rift videos waiting for me since you upload a new vid like every day.. So I got that goin for me which is pretty nice :D Love your vids ER! You are my absolute favourite
Playing a heavily modded New Vegas atm, took a break from ASMR and Ephemeral Rift for a couple of days, literally just closed the game and was greeted with awesome.
Ritter Sport is GREAT! Love it! They sell a wide variety of bars, my all time favorite is the one with dark chocolate and marzipan! Oh and I'm sorry but we're going to have to teach you how to open a Ritter Sport the right way... ;) (I'm from the Netherlands btw)
I really liked this video. Simple, full of tingles, and started to make me crave some dark chocolate! By the by, you remind a lot of a character named Tim McManus from the hbo series, Oz. In the face and in the voice you resemble him.
I don't drink much wine now after being seriously ill one time but I do like to have a glass of red over a meal. I don't like white wine anymore for some reason. For chocolate I go for the high percentage stuff, usually 85% or more, including 100% chocolate. 100% chocolate may surprise you in its diversity. It isn't always very bitter, often giving various fruity and nutty tastes and aromas. Sometimes they also have interesting and unexpected savoury tastes like mushroom and smoke. Sometimes the even taste weirdly sweet like the 100% Bouga Cacao, which is more like an 85%. I find chocolate more interesting than wine. I think Cacao and Cocoa are often used interchangeably but Cacao refers to the plant, and Cocoa refers to the processed beans into cocoa mass.
Matthew Mitchell even raw cacao after it’s been roasted has various tastes. Each bean, like you said can have a more nutty, fruity, or coffee/bitter flavor. I love dark chocolate!
Awesome vid sir! And just for the record, your pronunciation of Sauvignon was almost perfect, except for the "on" at the end! In French, "on" is a special sound which doesn't exist in English, but we do not pronounce the "n" (same goes for "ou", which makes the sound "oo"). Anyway, i'm just being picky here! :P Great job, very relaxing: fell asleep within the first half of it!
Rittersport is maybe one of the most famous chocolates in germany You should try Lind chocolate its also very popular in Germany and defenetly a 5 stars chocolate
Loved the little wink you did when mentioning pouring wine for underage viewers "just incase". Perhaps subconsciously, but still. Awesome video as usual, ER.
The true ephemeral rift experience is looking at his hair and being able to say the video was uploaded the other fay lr 5 years ago, there is no in between
Not sure how much you paid for it but my dad is a wine connoisseur, if you will, and he's told me before that as long as the price is between $15-$25 dollars it's probably a decent enough wine. There's no need to spend 50 bucks on wine just to enjoy on your own.
I must correct myself. I've gone on a long journey to find myself. It wasn't easy. Tears were shed. But now I know the errors of my ways. I was distracted by the sin of the irradiated one. But I know now who I follow. The Mighty Onion is in my presence my friends. The rumors of his ogreaggressive ways are simply not true. I met his Swampiness on my journey. He showed me the layers. I am a changed man. Shrek is love, Shrek is life.

Wine can turn with a screwtop as well, it however happens in the tip of the screw were an oxidation process can occur.
I respect this man for putting little to no ads in his videos.
I LOVE Ritter Sport!! The plain milk chocolate in the light blue wrapper is my all time favorite! Love it! Great video!
I loved how he included us, even though it is over the internet
I absolutely LOVE that you include us in your videos. You always ask how we are, and it all feels very personal and genuinely caring. It makes me even more relaxed. I love the way you start off these videos. It makes me feel so welcome and cared about. It's really nice, thank you
You have a nice kitchen, and those bananas look very fresh.
lol
Those fresh look very bananas.
He must have a good wife...
Malthe Nielsen lol
In England, pineapples and bananas don’t even grow that big. They’re rather impressive. That sweet potato look pretty good too
I really liked this sort of role-play thing were I can imagine that I am there. It's kind of funny he passes me a wine and chocolate that I can't eat, but it just drew me into the video. Nice job as always, ER!
+Andrew Forrest Thank you for your comment!
You are the original ASMR master in my eyes, because you were the first one I ever watched. Thank you for sharing these with us. Love from Norway x
I miss these type of reviews by rift
Is it weird that I love the noise that wine makes when it's being poured???
I seen this posted this morning and I couldn't wait to go to sleep just to watch this! Love chocolate tasting!
Nice shirt...
I like how your pofile is the same as his shirts

YOU are one of the first who begin to mkae asmr videos. And you are BEST sir. Thanks so much

Great video E.R. The soft whisper is very relaxing as well as the crinkling.

you can't know how much I love your videos
I live in Italy, right near the city of Perugia. The chocolate is really good! I love all your videos, they makes me feel really relaxed thank you ER!
This is the perfect birthday present! Thank you so much Uncle E!

I've been loving Ritter Sport chocolate lately. It's pretty darn good.
Oh, and I love the pouring sounds.
Ritter sport is very famous in germany. Ritter means knight, but i got no idea why it's named like this... ;)
Michael Weber Interesting. A favorite treat of the Templars? ;)
Had a really hard day, today! To come home and see this has been uploaded made it so much better!:) Great work.
just subscribed to this channel , very relaxing , like the fact that the video is longer than most other asmr videos , because when you like one obviously there over quickly , really well done , looking forward to seeing more videos , thanks .....

Testicle taint
I had never had a Toblerone before. Because of your videos I decided to try one. I apparently love these things.
Hey great to hear and glad you liked it!
There's a candy store near me that sells one foot long toblerone bars that weigh nearly a pound.
any asmr video including chocolate is amazing in my books. :)
Long time subscriber now. Just love these. I often fall asleep but not before hearing what you have to say about the beer (or wine). I'm 17 so I don't drink but I hope you keep doing these. Their my favorite.
ritter is lush, it is actually a really popular chocolate in germany, my uncle used to be a jockey out there, nice country too

Thanks man, you and RelaxingASMR are the best at making ASMR videos :D
I love these types of videos! Thanks to you I'm seriously thinking about picking up some chocolate. I'm a big fan of caramel myself. :)

I honestly liked new vegas more. But there isn't enough brotherhood of steel in that game

Look at Vault Boy's face at 18:05. The way the shirt is folding over makes him look like an angry stroke victim. Just found it to be kinda funny.

Oh and I'm sorry but we're going to have to teach you how to open a Ritter Sport the right way... ;)

Trisha Jansen I've always wondered what sport has to do with a chocolate bar? Oh so it's Ritter Sport, means that it's for health-conscious folk.
Great video as always! :D Tingle inducing sounds and informative! :D Thank you! :D

Maybe cheese with wine is a better combo? Kinda like how I eat cheese with grapes and it was really great together~
Wine and grapes are different.

Mclaren Vale is a place in the state of South Australia!!! That's what it means - just a region.
Ritter Sport is quite popular in Germany, almost on the same level as Milka I would say.
NICE SHIRT!
Uncle E, McLaren Vale is the wine region. It's in South Australia.
Very good wine region. Cheers from Melbourne!
very relaxing great video!
How is even the kitchen ambiance relaxing
You should eat the Belgian chocolate Cote D'Or.
It's an amazing chocolate that you would really like.
Try it.
McLaren Vale is the region in South Australia where the wine is made (and the grapes are grown).
Rittersport is maybe one of the most famous chocolates in germany
You should try Lind chocolate

Omg ! that wine comes from where i live !! Mclaren Vale is the suburb from where the grapes are grown and where they turn it into wine :).
Lindt is the most delicious chocolate I've ever tried. Yum. :P
You should try some wines from Barossa Valley, it's the most famous wine region in Australia :)
