What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.

I also avoid the news, I always end up either upset or angry at the world. I don't really believe that ignorance is bliss, but it helps you focus on other things. At least that's what I believe.
MonoSpark On one hand, I wish I could force myself to watch the news. People keep telling me I need to be up to date on the happenings of the world, and part of me agrees. It’s not good to be ignorant if something really bad is about to go down. On the other hand, I don’t really care enough to bother. Why watch something that’s boring and is just going to end up making you stressed or angry? I don’t need extra doses of that in my life.
I like the way Steve Hughes phrases why he doesn't watch the news: 'because I'm intelligent, and I have a temper.'

I have to say I personally don’t (or at least until now) get the food ASMR thing. You however (and why doesn’t this surprise me) have managed to totally blow me away because usually I can’t bear them and I totally loved this. You absolutely nailed this and clearly display what it is to be a professor in the field of ASMR 👨🏼🎓
I prefer Dunkin for coffee, but their breakfast foods give me bad heartburn, so Wawas wins in regards to food. Also, why not Wawas vs. Sheetz?

I went to Delaware on business once and the Wawa I went to I had to dump the coffee and throw away half a sandwich. I've had good gas station coffee, too.

I’m from NY so I have never been to a WaWa, but I know people from the PA/NJ area and from the way they describe it, it seems similar to a 7Eleven (I’m not sure if you have that in PA) and I live 2 blocks away from my local Dunkin Donuts so I’m there quite a bit, I typically like their veggie egg white flatbreads for breakfast but I usually make my own breakfast but I’ll buy coffee & tea from Dunkin a lot. Relaxing video by the way!

Wawa and 7-11 are not in anyway shape or form similar lol ok maybe just a tad bit but wawa is farrrrrr better than 7-11. We have both here in PA and Starbucks and Royal farms (closer to wawa, I call it wawanabe) because it's a wawa want to be..

Oh, the quality in a Wawa is much greater than a 7 Eleven. They prepare the food in front of you. Not just re-heated meats and such. Moreover, you can customize your order via touch screen interface. Not something you find at a 7 Eleven. Most they have cooking tends to be hotdogs.

I remember back when I was like 5 years old, there was a Wawa near my childhood home. I recall this unique smell to the place. Like a strange spiciness with the mix of coffee and hot dogs and spiced sausages. It felt "exodic." Well, eventually, the place closed down and I think a dollar store moved in, but I never forgot that smell. Always loved their hot dogs and now, nearly 2 decades later and an avid coffee drinker, I really wish I could try some of that coffee now. Maybe some day, I will find an open Wawa again. It is weird, yes, that I have fond memories of an often dirty, kind of gross food shop that family members of mind had gotten food poisoning from on more than one occasion, but it just...brings back memories I guess. Life is weird.

Breakfast for me typically looks like almond milk with mio energy drops that are flavored mocha coffee, two eggs (either boiled or omelette) with strawberries or raspberries.

I remember I used to love dunkin donuts. Now where I've been living for years and years, we... don't have one. I've been living here since I was 6... I no longer remember at all what it's like. I just remember loving it
As a dunkin donuts employee, this brings me a bit of joy to see Rift trying it! Even if we aren't number one this made me smile and relax better after a night of closing.

I like my sugar with a little bit of coffee in it, no creamer or anything else though. Honestly though I don't drink coffee very often at all not do I normally have breakfast, though when I do I usually like a good sausge and biscuit sandwich. Im not a huge fan of eggs, I used to love them but I don't quite like them as much anymore. On a different note, and this sounds weird but, there's a doughnut place that opened near my little sisters school that has a bacon covered doughnut that I thought would be awful but is one of the best doughnuts I've ever had. It's a regular chocolate covered doughnut with bits of real bacon on top and if you happen to see one like that I'd highly recommend it as an every great once in a while treat.
Home made waffles with bacon, maple syrup and whipped cream sandwiched in will be the best thing you'll ever have

Your eating ASMRs are so good, i always watch them before going to sleep.
My favorite part of your videos is that you pay attention to detail. From editing, sounds, and taking your time for us to enjoy the sounds. A lot of ASMR videos I’ve noticed they do triggers too quickly like the tapping for example.. to where I feel rushed, I dislike it.

I completely agree with what you said regarding the news and limiting what you take in. Ive had to learn this the hard way when the news would cause me severe panic attacks. I just wish my family would listen and stop telling me bad things they see on the news. Maybe one day they’ll get it. 🤫
Theta Sigma Yes I’ve talked to my doctors about my panic attacks. Being constantly bombarded with bad news and huge world issues can definitely cause panic and fear. Especially when combined with other issues.

Grew up in MA, so I’ve only known Dunks.. and us Massholes basically thrive on it.. but last year I moved to PA for grad school and that was the first time I had ever seen/heard of a Wawa.. the first time I asked what it was and I got looked at like I had 14 heads. Sorry Wawa, I may be here for 4 years but I’ll always love Dunks.

I'm a Starbucks gal. I'm sad yours doesn't have a breakfast sandwich, mine does. Never even heard of wawa and as far as dunken donuts goes I haven't had a donut from there since I was like 6. They've pretty much all closed around where I live. Closest one is an hour away, not worth it. Love the video. Really makes me want a some coffee!
I live in California and we don’t have Wawa’s but I went to one before and the best way I’ll describe is like 7-11 and Subway put together. But I go to Dunkin’s because of their Almond Milk Lattes and their Boston Cream filled.
I've got a really good friend who lives in South Jersey and swears by Wawa, and the one time I went up there I had to agree it's fantastic. Where I live we have Kum & Go, which is pretty similar and also great. But the best donuts are fresh and warm plain glazed from Krispy Kreme ❤️
As for my breakfast routine, I'm addicted to Starbucks and I usually have a venti skinny mocha with 4 espresso shots. Mmmm chocolate and coffee and caffeine.
I generally have coffee and whatever I can find for breakfast. I do get very hungry during the morning so I tend to have a bigger breakfast than most.
Starbucks has all sorts of breakfast sandwhiches, wraps, salads etc down here in so cal.

I got a Dunkin Donuts by my house. Never had a problem with their service and their bacon egg and cheese bagels are top notch.

I'm in the burbs outside Richmond and we have WAWA and DD's. I'd have to say overall Wawa...is better. When I was pregnant though, I could eat a dozen donuts from DD. It was bad. Happy Summer Solstice! Free coffee at McDonald's today. Their specialty coffee is free all day.
I live in western pa and ive never seen wawa here....although i have seen wawa down south in north carolina, new jersey, georgia, etc. Didnt know they were in pa. Its mainly sheetz around here.
