1)I spoke to my sister on the Sunday night.
on Sunday night, you do not need THE.
2)we discussed the family matters on the day of Christmas.
      This sentence is fine.
3)I saw my family members at Christmas
      Also, a fine sentence.
4)I went to see my parents on Christmas day.
      Looks good!
5)I watched peaky blinders TV series in the night
I watch the TV series Peaky Blinders at night.
(If this is something you usually do, then WATCh is the correct verb form).
6)I will call you at night
OK, but in the evening is more common for this situation.
I will call you in the evening.
      I will call you tonight.
7)I will call you in the night.
      See above.
8)we went to purchase dresses in the night.

9)he is going to play football at the weekend/ on the weekend.
      on the weekend
      10) we had a football tournament in the night

In this case, you could also say....at night.
11)we ate the buriyani in the night
12)we ate the buriyani at the night
      at night.
      or....

We usually use watch for a movie.
However, you could say....I went to see a movie last night (at the cinema).
For your personal hobbies, you can use:
      1) I like to watch movies.

Yesterday i exhausted myself by making cookies and doing the laundry, I should not have made them in the same day .

    • @SingleStepEnglish
      @SingleStepEnglish  3 роки тому

In this sentence you talk about making cookies and doing the laundry. However, in the second part, you use made (for the cookies).
Therefore, I would change that part to: I should not have done both of them on the same day. Or, I should not have done them both on the same day.
If you had made cookies and made a pie, then you could say: I should not have made them both.
If your two activities use the verb, doing, you could also say this:
Yesterday, I exhausted myself by doing three hours of cleaning and doing the laundry, I should not have done both of them on the same day.
      One more thing....
Some native speakers often use the expression, overdid it, instead of exhausted myself.
      Yesterday, I overdid it by....
      I hope that helps!

      2)in the beginning
This is very similar to 1)
but, using IN the beginning describes the start of a period of time. It can be used alone, even if the time frame is unclear.
      Example:
In the beginning, the company had only three employees and a tiny garage as their office.
In the above example, it means at the start.

Since you already have bank at the end of the sentence, you don't need it to say, bank money. Also, you need the before bank.
