Where did you go for your WHNP? It’s hard to find a lot personal accounts of different institutions. I am an RN with 6 years experience and am stuck between University of Cincinnati and University of South Alabama, both online programs. Thank you 😊
Hi Amber! I went to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia which was an in person program. Feel free to DM me on my Instagram @_theladysguide 😊
Hi Deanna I'm a student in highschool (in Spain) and I would love to become a midwife -WHNP in the future and help many women in the future Please I wanted to ask you what are the right and advisable steps to follow in order to become a Midwife-WHNP Thank you and geetings from Spain Have a blessed day !💙
Hi Rachel, that is beautiful. I am not familiar with the steps to take in Spain. I would reach out to nursing schools as the first step and find out from them what are the steps to become a nurse practitioner and midwife. Good luck!
@@TheLadysGuide hi , Thanks por replying!! I forgot to include that I intend to work as a WHNP -Midwifr in the US , so its probable I will end up STUDYING this master degree there . That's why I was asking for your advice 😄 Thank you very much Greetings and have a blessed day
@@silentmellow794 Awesome! First step is getting your bachelors in nursing followed by going back for your masters. Many schools have joint programs that you can get your Women's Health NP and Midwife certification together. Good luck!
@@TheLadysGuide okay , so that means before entering any NP program I must have a bachelor's in nursing , have work experience and do a masters degree (in nursing I guess) . Okay thx a million
@@silentmellow794 You definitely need to have your bachelors in nursing first. Work experience is very helpful but not mandatory. Your masters would be specifically as a women's health NP/Midwife.
how many years did you work as an RN before getting into the program?
and what is the needed gpa to get into the program?
