Thanks for the detailed review. What do you think? Will fiio pair this one up with a ba driver? Or is it not really needed. I'm not a fan of raised treble but I like when it's extended especially for horns and cymbals...
I don't think it's a matter of drivers, if they wanted, they could've add more treble with this DD. IMO it was an intended change

Hi great review... Please recommend me the best dd iem for male vocals. Most of the stuff i hear sound thin and intangible for male vocals. I need thickness with good definition.
Try dunu titan S, not S2.Cant be beaten for full,organic,natural vocal at the price..
Unfortunately, "thickness" and "definition" is a kind of opposite things, so it's a matter of how much thickness you prefer. For example for me, this exact model hits a perfect spot, but it's still a matter of taste
@@PortaFi My taste was the Moondrop Kato which had the best balance for me in terms of thick noteweight and definition but ultimately I still felt I need more definition.
With the fd15 I liked it's definition and natural sound but I wanted more note thickness for male vocals.
What would be the next step up from a Kato or a fd15? Ultimately I believe I need a better driver for more performance.
@@nabilchoudhury7359 actually, if neutral and micro-contrast focused KAto wasn't enough for you in terms of definition, unlikely FD15 will be a good choice. Maybe you need to try some hybrids or planars?
@@PortaFi I would have but in the past I felt the ba's to sound unnatural compared to DD iems. Just sounds fake to me for some reason.
