Here are five shortline railroads that all have remarkable histories to tell. All the scenes were shot over 40 years ago on Kodak color movie film.

Yes. SP’s Jawbone Branch ran north from Mojave to Owenyo where it interchanged with the SP Narrow Guage. From Owenyo, the narrow gauge line ran north to Carson City. Originally the Nevada & California, the narrow gauge line was merged in to the SP in 1912.
