Hi Micah! Great video! Yes these sorts of things happen It’s a part of railroading There’s a local channel I follow CCRX that’s railroading There’s a local coal mine that has a railroad to transport the coal from the mine to the Monongahela River where the coal is transported onto barges and then to CSX for transport Have a great day!!
Nice catch! I see there is a new breed of side boom tractors? All very flash compared to the old CAT's.? I assume the rail stayed upright and just broke.....would of been a mess if the rail was on its side :-) Nice work by RJC as usual. Cheers Gregg.
That is interesting but when did you take the video, I though USS had quit working this line a long time ago and I know that the whole Cumberland Valley, Div is up for sale if anybody wants it. I'm retired from CSX and train simulations for ORTS. This division is in progress.
Recent, as in a month or so ago. Though it was up for sale at one point, it is no longer up for sale and is actually very busy. The original steel train ran to the original Lynch, yet US Steel still receives coal via Lynch 3. This line isn’t going anywhere anytime soon
With the way the coal business is now, mines open/close based on the price (that has NOT changed over the years) but their market has shrunk. The railroads have pulled back in the coalfields - closing branch lines and staging yards; neglecting maintenance. You see more deferred maintenance than I've ever seen. Yet... the export market is booming right now. No one has ever accused the CEO's of NS or CSX of being super geniuses.
This is no excuse cut back maintenance on track pure simple csx miss boat big time.the market start and go on cheap is no no.i work in coal se bc canada and cprail all keep track in shape even market was going south in japan.they should cut dividend 10 - 15 % make big difference yup.thanks video😮
That looked like very shiny rail for track that hadn't been used for decades. Great work by both the R J Corman and CSX crews.
Awesome Video thanks for Sharing have a good day.😊😊👍👍
Thanks for another great, informative video, Micah. Well done on the captioning and camera work. I look forward to the next one.
great capture
how did the rail break?
You always catch the interesting stuff! Great video, and congratulations on 2K subscribers!!

Great video. I like that you followed up the next day. Great work with the drone, too!
New to me - completely in the dark how these things work. I'll stick around, thanks, most informative . Like your style.
Great video and I really enjoyed this one. Keep up the great work young man and happy rails.
Great video!!!!
Awesome video, just subscribed to your channel!
Always loved trains, I still have my N-Gauge set from the 60's.
I figured you would get a video up quickly. lol. Great job on the video.
Great video, I really like the explanations. But most of all God bless you.!!

Hello Micah!! What are those large Gates for just before the yard??
They are flood gates, built after a large flood in 1977
Thank You for the quick answer@ Don't see that here in Arizona.

What is sprayed in the hoppers before they are loaded?
A type of antifreeze that prevents the coal from freezing in the hoppers during the winter months
Good job filming, start to finish. Kudos.
Nice video, obligatory 5 standing around watching.

Interesting video.
Those John Deeres cant lift crap! The ole Cat 583's would pick a hell of a lot more than them!
What the intro song called
I don’t remember off the top of my head, I used the track well over a year ago and it was on a different platform
I know where Corbin is located, but where is Lynch 3, Ky?
Near Cumberland, Ky
We just grab the Retailer and do it ourselves !
Hey, I wanted to see the coal being loaded lol
Track Maintenance looks Horrible in the Area of the Derailment. 🤔👎

were you trespassing?
No, I have permission and credentials to be on the property as I please 🙂
Why you stop video just as they about to flood the hopper ? Lame
@@jasonsmity2707I’ve shot the process in several other videos on my channel
train no go with a tha rail
I wish you would talk about what you’re showing. The words you put up are too small to read and don’t stay on long enough to read them.
I’m old and I can’t see that with even glasses!
