Thank you for your bird feeder tutorial. I always wonder what to make with cylinders and this was perfect. My husbandmakes them out of wood and now I can contribute with a pottery bird feeder :)
I liked the video very much but I really miss not seeing a finished piece. This is true for may many videos and reels I see on social media these days. Kind of frusterating. I would have liked to see how you string it up , utilizing the holes and was it rope or chain or? thank you for taking the time to do this one, Im looking forward to trying it out
Beautiful work! You have the coolest tools 😊 Can you tell me the brand of the circle cutters and the "grass" tool holder. Going to try this project soon!!
Fabulous project and video. Always love your work. Thanks for sharing. Let's see what birds we attract down under. 😀🌏 Quick question, what size is the gr form you used please? TIA
Can I ask you about the clear, pink, cutting guide template you use when cutting out your pieces? What's it called & does it have a brand name? It's an amazing cutting guide
Beautiful work, but a lot of it was out of view of the camera. And I’d love to know the size of your calendar and your circles for top and bottom plates.
Rhana, Do you know why some of your videos get 47k views and some only get 400? They all seem to be good videos that are very informative and easy to follow. Just wondering. Keep up the awesome work.
Curly’s Clay Creations maybe it's the topic. Just something a potter wants to learn about. I never thought to use a quilting ruler in my studio. It's moving over.
Love the feeder! Just one suggestion, you might want to place a few small drainage holes in the bottom plate, so that rain won't pool there & soak the seed inside the base.
Would love to see your creations finished, ie glazed etc. love your work. I also like the videos where you are giving instructions best.

So sweet, Joy. Thank you for joining me on this journey
Perfect demo/tutorial video! Not a lot of chatter, which is so nice for a change (from other youtubers). Great project, well filmed!
So beautiful, thank you from Australia 🙂🌻

Love your video's, thank you Rana. What type of clay, underglaze & glaze do you use for bird feeder?
Thanks so much! ♥️
Great video - always spectacular!!!
Spinquilter love you boo boo
Danke für die wunderbaren Anregungen
Muito lindo seu trabalho. Beautiful
Hi. Just wondering about glazing...what do you do about the bottom/sticking to the kiln shelf? Thanks! Trying this project now...
Shellee Nicols I, personally, glaze the bottom and fire on stilts. I’ll usually fire to a cone 5 with a 15 minute hold.
This is great, do you have any that are glazed, or how do you finish them?
Very nice work
Saundra Grenard I do. I post most of my work on my Facebook.
What is the thickness of your clay?
Bonito !!! Muchas grácias
What is that plate making tool called. That blue mat
do you have to bake it after or just let it sit 'till it dries?
Could you show one that has been glazed and how you attached the top?
Why have vents on bottom where the water from rain can wet the seed and make it moldy
Please show how you connect the feeder with the top? Do you use a twine? This would be a great project to do with my grandchildren. Thanks
Carolyn Snyder I will once it’s fired

What size gr pottery form?
What type of clay did you use?
How long do u let your cut slabs set up before cutting pieces
marlea gaskins not long. I work on a hardibacker board; it firms up a bit as I work.
Beautiful work! You have the coolest tools 😊 Can you tell me the brand of the circle cutters and the "grass" tool holder. Going to try this project soon!!
Corinne Metz round cutters I found on amazon. Grass tool holder is a baby product. I think it holds baby bottle and nipples and things of that sort.
Won't the seed fall out of the bottom holes?
Fabulous project and video. Always love your work. Thanks for sharing. Let's see what birds we attract down under. 😀🌏
Quick question, what size is the gr form you used please? TIA
Thank you. It was the 6.5 inch GR form
Rana, would love to know where you got the foam bat. Thanks!
Jessica Helgeson xiem makes it
Love your work. Where can I get that big clear plastic ruler?
Thank you Davin. It’s a quilting ruler. Try your local fabric store.
Godbles! ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤ ❤❤❤️ So cool. Peace be with you.
Have a great weekend.
Do you ever show completed projects?
Can I ask you about the clear, pink, cutting guide template you use when cutting out your pieces?
What's it called & does it have a brand name?
It's an amazing cutting guide
It’s a quilting ruler. Found at a fabric store.
@@Curlyrana81 thank you! It's looks like the perfect measuring tool
Beautiful work, but a lot of it was out of view of the camera. And I’d love to know the size of your calendar and your circles for top and bottom plates.
Pvc pipe works well as a form, or even a glass vase or wine bottle.
how can we find out what kind of clay you used and the thickness etc. of the slab?
Wendy Fargo I used light stoneware (midrange). I usually fire cone 5-6. Don’t go thinner than 1/8 inch.
@@Curlyrana81 Thank you so much. Could this piece be done in a fire pit instead of a kiln?
I can’t answer you in that. I’m not familiar enough with it.
@@Curlyrana81 okay thank you
Very nice video! Thanks for this. I couldn’t t hear what you said was the dimensions.
Great
What kind of clay ? Does it need to be fired? Sorry newbie here
Theresa Nichols this particular Clay is light stoneware and is a midrange. I usually fire between cone 5-6
@@Curlyrana81 thank you would love to make things like this but I do not and cant afford a kiln .. thank you for responding
what did she brush on pattern before using rolling pin
Corn starch
Where did you find the texture mat? I absolutely love it.
Sherry Lesser if I had to guess I’d say bed bath and beyond or Walmart.
Also, it’s a vinyl placemat
Also check at Ross, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc. in the section for the kitchens...placemats.

Travis Krick Thank you Travis. I have no clue. Wish they all had 40k+ 😂
Curly’s Clay Creations maybe it's the topic. Just something a potter wants to learn about. I never thought to use a quilting ruler in my studio. It's moving over.
Excellent demo. Thank you.

Love the feeder! Just one suggestion, you might want to place a few small drainage holes in the bottom plate, so that rain won't pool there & soak the seed inside the base.
Great advice. I learned the need for drainage holes a little too late 😆
Where did u find the mat u used???? Love it! Also do u roll out your slabs with rolling pin or slab roller?
Nice! Can you show us the end result?
Why didn’t you score the cylinder?
Meredith Bullock but I did. You must have missed it. I used the blue Xiem tool that has a pin tool on one side and a scoring tool on the other.
I'd have to tack that rib to a stick to reach in that cylinder because fat hands. Nice work
jeremiah chace 😂 so funny you say that. I was going to suggest making the cylinder a size that would comfortably fit your hand.
Nice🌹🙏
Are you from Walker County?
Nope. Michigan
Milk weed plant a track butterflies… attract butterflies..
Can’t see what is happening. At the top
So slow.
New subscriber..... What compound are you dusting with? And what type of clay?
Kristin, it's corn starch, sometimes called corn flour
Traduzcan 😤
Lovely. Do you fire the lid on the cylinder?
I found your video too slow
.....
Hello, great ideas with you. Can you please tell me what a white powder you use as a release agent. Thank you
@@katrinzeidler7533 corn starch
Not very good. Needs editing and adjust camera to see all that you are doing. Poor video.
