Just a heads up, Dynamic Animation Replacer isn’t updated for the current version and has been abandoned by the mod author, meaning that any animation mods that rely on it (so pretty much all of them) will not work
@@UltimegaSeven So let's say you're someone like me who spent well over a week (while delirious with a fever) updating a +700 mod list to the most recent AE version (1.6.640) and you're faced with the choice of either downgrade or just hold off on DAR for the foreseeable future. Now if I were to downgrade, is it specifically the USSEP, SKSE, and some dll based mods that need a downgrade? I use LOTD as a core part of my playthroughs so if that needs to be updated, that would likely require a new playthrough to play. What other kinds of mods would need to be downgraded and if that's the case are animation mods really worth it for me specifically?
@@thedovahk9398 Yeah, I've mainly been just holding off for the most part. I do miss some of my favorite animation mods like Underdog and I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to play with some of the cool new Conditional animations that came out while I was taking a break from Skyrim. But, the more I look at it the more it seems like if I wanted to keep my game at the last version at least (1.6.53? The last Version DAR was compatible with), I should've done that back when I was setting up my current playthrough. @timeats-cake832 While I understand people's frustration (gods know I totally feel it), Some of these people are really taking it too far. I just hope something gets done eventually whether it's Felisky handing it off to someone else, Doodlezoid reverse-engineering it and releasing their version some time after February, or just Felisky themselves updating it.
Adding on 2 things that weren't mentioned: 1. DAR is only updated to AE 1.6.353. Any AE version or GOG beyond that will not work. 2. Northern Roads will conflict with any mods that modify vanilla landscapes so you'll need to find the relevant patches which may not all be included - Cities and towns mods, trees mods, flora mods, custom landscape meshes, non-vanilla mountain mods, other roads/lanterns/road signs mods, worldspace additions like borders and gates, custom homes, etc.
There is a reason for that. If I were to talk about thousands of incompatibilities with other creations on the Nexus, the video would become incredibly uninteresting and dull to watch. NR has over hundreds of thousands of incompatibilities just like any other mod out there, as each are made on an individual basis. My angle is to showcase mods in somewhat interesing way, while users, as a basic principle, should always read the description upon entering the mod page to get the appropriate compatibility information for their own mod list, thus avoiding frustrations. :)
@@SynModsin this case I don't understand what's the point adding stuff that will not work? That's basically sending people new to modding in the wrong direction, discouraging them from modding the game in the end
@@rove8620 How did you arrive to the conclussion that the mod does not work? NR is an incredible mod, and works / looks great. But since it does makes a lot of landscape edits, requires proper implementation if installed alongside other mods that do the same. All mods are made on an individual basis, and there is always going to be incompatibilies with other mods that do the same. It's unfair to expect from content creators and even authors to simply avoid talking about / promoting mods just because it might be incompatible with others.

I notice a lot of mods still using dynamic animation replacer but every time i use it with the current version i get issues with the .dll files not loading correctly. is there a way to fix that because i tried using version 1.6.353 where it works but other mods often get updated for current version and no longer work on 1.6.353 so its very frustrating. Aside from my personal problem I love your videos dude and I've been binging them recently to know what pc mods are good. i loved modding Skyrim on console but not I'm a relatively new pc user so the nexus is a strange but amazing new land to me. your guides are what get me through and i hope your as proud of your work as i am!
mod author hasnt updated the mod, bunch of people nagging that they wont update so they probably got overwhelmed. You could downgrade your game but its up to you. I'm too lazy for that shit so I just play without DAR

I would not include Northern roads in a list of "best creations of 2022" for the simple reason that it is extremely difficult to get this mod to work properly in a modlist without having conflicts. It is a wonderful idea, and I like the look of it a lot. But every time I tried to include it into a modlist I ended up with so many conflicts, missing terrain, etc., that i always ended up having to remove it. What the mod needs is a very detailed explanation of what landscape and terrain mods will work safely with it, along with a correct load order for those mods and how to patch it. As it is, the mod is not one that i would recommend for the casual modder who just wants something new to change the look of Skyrim. It just demands too much work.

I keep seeing these DAR based mods. but I'm scared to add them because I have other SKSE based mods I wanted to use, and I'm worried about downgrading messing everything up. Is there an easier way to tell which deleted versions of mods will work with the different versions of the Script Extender. I get not having all the features of a current model, but I was okay with the older ones before AE broke DAR. In this video alone you showcased new non DAR SKSE mods, how'd you make them work? or is your animations recommendations on a different list than your other showcases?
I highly recommend you to downgrade using bestofboth worlds patcher, to keep cc stuff, skyrim ae isnt that worth, revert it back to the 1.5.97, im sure like 99,99% AE mods have their SE (1.5.97) version.

For the most immersive experience possible. Move to Greenland and play the game during winter with all your windows open and every fan on for the most accurate representation of how cold Skyrim is
Honestly the best mods I’ve been playing at the moment is the borderlands texture packs with the celshade ENB, that with a lot of performance mods gets me a constant 60fps whilst still looking great. On top of that I’ve been using a collection of different combat mods which change the gameplay to be Mose souls like gameplay, I basically use mermaids mods and recommend mods with paper UI, Map, Nordic UI over the top. It’s basically a great overhaul. Nordwars armor replacers. Souls animations. And because I play as a khajiit lunar guard armor and axe. I’ve not crashed once and it’s smooth as hell. Would recommend.

I wish my argonians could look like that. 😩 Unfortunately, I have never been able to get the stupid SKSE64 to download and extract correctly. I've come close but not fully figured it out. Sigh. I wish I could just figure it out through Vortex but I can't get it to work through that either. So I have been doing it manually. So a lot of the mods I need to get the customization mods needed to make my characters and npcs to look like that all require SKSE64 which I can't figure out how to download. Sigh. Pretty much every freaking cool mod requires stupid SKSE64. And I hate it! If someone could freaking come and just do it for me then yeah great but no one I know can figure it out! And I am clearly missing something! I even downloaded that stupid 7 zip thing! I don't want to use something other than Vortex because that is what I understand how to use when it comes to modding so far. And I am worried that I will be forced to use something else to get it to work.

I've been playing Skyrim for ages and I just can't work out my mods load order trust me Ive watched countless videos and read tons of walk throughs And instructions But It's all just idk I can't work it out My game crashes every 10 minutes when I play I'm so used to it
Can somebody explain to me at least in part when it comes to immersion mods why is proper length arrows never mentioned or why any new mod doing it wasn't never made for SE? I'm using it and it makes arrows look better and more realistic in length and none well known modders here on youtube is using it. I removed some things to make with work with SE and AE since mod is just meshes. Oh yeah proper length arrows is original made for oldrim.
after completing the game over 6 times 100% and spending over a decade with it, i can safely say that i will never, ever, ever run this game again. skyrim took the concept of beating a dead horse to beating it, beating to it, reanimating it and then beating the shit out of it again. too much is too much
Excuse Me, not only am I interested by the mods you have shown but also on the few instances where your character does a choke animation and one where they stab a man in the back, what are those mods? I'd love to check them out as well along with these!
@Mykeus Gaming Kinda, most mods that I have seen that have an SKSE dependence have a version available for 1.5.97 or 1.6.353, either in the main files or older files section. Many mods will work with 1.5.97 and up as they are SE( Special Edition) specific and 1.5.97 was the first SE SKSE version, if that makes sense. Disregard what USSEP says it will work with the SE version you downpatched to. I'd recommend the best of both version available on The Nexus.
@Mykeus Gaming To Clarify: Downpatch your executable to 1.5.97 (recommended as that is the most used version of Skyrim SE) Go get SKSE version 2.0.20 which is made to be compatible with .exe 1.5.97. From there ensure that any SKSE-dependent mod is at least compatible with 1.5.97. Most should be unless directly specified on the description page.* *Disregard what Arthmoore says in the USSEP description as that mod will work so long as you downpatched correctly.

Just downpatch to 1.5.97 or 1.6.353. It's super easy and it allows use of DAR no problem.

Many mods will work with 1.5.97 and up as they are SE( Special Edition) specific and 1.5.97 was the first SE SKSE version, if that makes sense. Disregard what USSEP says it will work with the SE version you downpatched to. I'd recommend the best of both version available on The Nexus.
@Mykeus Gaming To Clarify: Downpatch your executable to 1.5.97 (recommended as that is the most used version of Skyrim SE)
Go get SKSE version 2.0.20 which is made to be compatible with .exe 1.5.97.
From there ensure that any SKSE-dependent mod is at least compatible with 1.5.97. Most should be unless directly specified on the description page.*
*Disregard what Arthmoore says in the USSEP description as that mod will work so long as you downpatched correctly.

Dynamic Animation Replacer, currently v1.1.2, does not work for Anniversary Edition. If you play AE, anything requiring DAR will not work.
