6-Speed MANUAL Ferrari 599 GTB - Drive It Like You Stole it

- I jump onboard for a crazy ride in a friend's extremely rare Ferrari 599 GTB fitted with a 6-Speed manual transmission. We set the manettino in CST OFF (stability and traction control off) and had some fun powersliding and drifting around winding roads and roundabouts!

I think he forgot the car was manual and tried to shift with paddles at 1:30 hahaha
Asaddk LOOOL I just noticed that haha!
Asaddk That was by far the best moment hahaha :D
Asaddk hahaha
Asaddk yeee... it seems he has another one with paddles
Asaddk I don't think that was marchettino driving.
That man drives the shit out of his car. I respect that.
yeah respect there are not many using their cars properly.. only sitting in the garages..
Why are people complaining about the driving? I'm happy too see a Ferrari put to proper use instead of driving around the streets of London.
Michael Klein Because to people who actually spend time on the track, it's obvious that this person should never have been allowed to get behind the wheel of this machine. He has no idea what he is doing, and it's so obvious that you can't help but palmface & feel disgusted. Then other people are like 'whats wrong', the answer is that all these kids are ignorant and destroyed the syncro on the second gear. The engine has to be rebuilt too, stupid kid smacks into the rev limiter a half dozen times along with many other mistakes that don't fit in this comment box.
So everyone who thinks this is awesome obviously does not have track time in a stock car, or a racing license from an officiated licensing group. Aaaaannndddd, that's almost all the commenters. You get a pass though because you genuinely wanted to know why ;)
***** Ah, now I see. In order to watch and comment on these videos, we all must have track time put in and a racing license. Also, the kid wasn't driving, the owner was driving. Sorry that I don't spend my days on the track so that I can inform others on UA-cam.
Michael Klein "we all must have track time put in and a racing license. "
Sure glad no one actually said that. Not like you fabricated it or anything, then projected it onto another use so you could feel significant.
"So everyone who thinks this is awesome obviously does not have track time in a stock car, or a racing license from an officiated licensing group. Aaaaannndddd, that's almost all the commenters." Sounds like this is obviously what you think. So all of us inferior commenters have no validity because we do not regularly go to track days and we have no racing licenses.
Michael Klein Not gonna lie... This guy's driving is horrible.
Nice to see someone drive a supercar like it was build to be driven.
RcFrenzy I don’t think it was built to be a manual
Apple Pro they only made 12. But its meant for it people just didn't order it. Too sad
It's a gt
1:30 forgot it was a manual 😂😂😂
It isn't marco at the drive
Having spent a good 20 minutes speaking to the owner of this car about this video and his extensive collection of cars including an F40 and various SLR McLarens, I can assure you all he is a very good driver and has no issues worrying about a replacement clutch. It is as people say as Ferrari, a car that is meant to be pushed to the limit so congratulations on the owner for doing so regularly.
Car Fans logic
guy drives slow = he cant drive
guy drives fast = he destroys the car
GREAT Video. Thats how you have to drive a Sports car. Not like all the grannys watching their Ferraris rusting in the garage and protecting them from every dust flake.
welll said
1:33 Trying to reach flappy paddle
lol i thought that too
Yeah, I saw him forget he was whipping a manual for a second lol
To be fair, regardless of your skill level as a driver, you WILL be criticized in the comment section. It doesn't actually matter how good you are. Even the best driver would catch some degree of nit-picky criticism.
This is UA-cam, people will criticize you on how you breathe
airlopez21 True, but expect even more criticism when your driving is *actually* shit. This reckless dickhole is going to kill someone.
Dan Lapoint I would like to have a close encounter with a manual 599 GTO
airlopez21 But he's terrible.
"There were about 20 of these built" Does donuts around a trafficking circle
The man has skills!
Waaa, all cars should be manual! Waaa, this guy shifts slow. Waaa, Ferraris spend to much time in the city and are never used correctly, Waaa, this guy is abusing his Ferrari... Always something to complain about isn't there?
Exoticars19 I do agree with part of more cars being manual, but the rest, yeah you're right
Xavier Capela No, i'm just saying this is what people complain about, these aren't my thoughts.
+Exoticars19 You thought what is their thoughts , so those are your thoughts XD
Jack Chew Nope, simply reading the comments I see on videos.
*too
wow impressive, finally an owner who uses his car and who drives this gorgeous machine like it should be.
Didn't expect that coming.
This guy is my FUCKING HERO! - He drives that thing like it's supposed to be driven! - IF he has more cars, please do more videos with them!
the sound of that shifter clicking was delicious.
I didn't expect the video to go this way !! :D What a car !!!!! And What a mad driver ^^
The driver was much crazier than I expected.
this driver it's a savage. that's some driving!
hooning this car is more appreciative of its mechanical prowess than staring at it in a garage ever will
1:28 haha looking for the paddles
I had a ride in one of these when I was 16. The power is mental! Nice to see a manual before extinction :(
this is the guy who also drifts his carrera gt, what a boss
Same owner of the Ferrari F40 that did a burnout in Monaco ;) He really does know how to use his cars...
wow that sound from the gates when he shifts is amazing just from watching it on screen!
This is how supercars should be driven!!!
1:31 He reached for an imaginary paddle LOL
Why doesnt this have more views! Very rare you find videos of people really going hard on nice cars so i would have figured more views. Amazing!
Amazing car! Amazing driver! Amazing experience! Awesome video! :D
Fantastic driver!
Wow, this is how you should drive a Ferrari - with a manual, powersliding and the V12 screaming away :-)
Holy shit hooning in a Ferrari. That's on my bucket list right there.
Nice video... Not bad driving after all, it might be so much better on track for sure. Grazie mille Marchettino.
I love these older ferraris
This guy is a Powerslide KING!
I come back here occasionally to remind myself what the best car UA-cam video is.
I love the clicks when shifting a gated box
When you forget that you're driving a manual Ferrari.@1:30
Lambo lol ikr
This guy it's half genius half mad! He's risking his 650.000€ Ferrari in every corners! Btw great driving skills and great video!
Marcoo very funy the guy was looking for the padel shifts, triying to put the next gear on the tunel
could this be the best ferrari video on youtube?
Best 599 video I've seen!
Bloody hell! One of the best vídeos I've ever seen. Someone actually smashing the fuck out of a Ferrari!
I believe your friend is a CBA. (Certified Bad Ass)
Finally a HOON in a Ferrari on the streets! Yes he wasn't the smoothest manual shifter but dude did have some skill, and mainly he had balls! Props to him for enjoying his car like so many are too afraid of doing...
He was smooth
Video Top Marco +1 ;)
Damn, that looked like a ton o fun!!! People regard their cars in many different ways. You got the guys that keep them waxed, polished and always garaged to protect their beloved autos from bird shit, sunshine, and even a gentle breeze. And I'm fine with that. Hey, It's their car, he or she worked for it, paid for it, they can treat it as they wish. BUT, people are gonna talk all that shit about how that guy or girl shouldn't even have that car, and how that car should belong to someone who would drive it the way that it was "meant" to be driven, and so on. Then you got guys like this owner just going all-out, driving hard, beating hell out of the trans, hitting rev-limiter, definitely putting some early wear&tear on that car with little or no regard for near future repair costs. Personally, I like his style. unless he had endangered any other drivers on those roads,(and it kinda looked like he did a couple times there) I enjoy seeing cars like that, driven like that! I go hard on my cars sometimes, but not THAT hard. I'm too afraid I'll break something. parts are expensive!
Nice driving! Maybe he's not the best driver but he's better driver than those who drive it in Monaco at 30 km/h...
Why are people complaining about the driving he did a pretty good job
And this is why Italy is a supercar driving paradise
He certainly is driving it like he stole it, and the tunnels were badass!
1:30 He Thought It Was Automatic And Tried To Shift By Grabbing For Paddles But It Was Manual Transmission.😂😂
This guy must have died and went directly to paradise and was reborn a hardcore Tifosi. Surreal driving experience just watching.
The Nautilus is awesome as well! Thx for the video.
1clemi1 oh yes...that Patek is very nice
It bothered me how it was on his right hand
Maybe he is just left-handed
+Cool Guy McFly yeah man, I'm a lefty. I wear watches on my right.
I thought he was looking for the upshift paddle at 1:31 hahahaha
1:25 he just controlled that shit like a boss
Wow wow wow. The only time you'll see a super driven to its full potential.
Everyone should be allowed to have fun with their car and if this guy wants to hit the rev limiter in his rare Ferrari then let him. An enjoyable car that is being enjoyed. But oh my god my heart is hurting from the engine strain.
Can't stop watching this
Raoul is a legend !
Epic video!Salutes from Brazil!
now that's how you drive a super car !!! bravo. not the typical supercar owner that's for sure
love that gold nautilus
this guy sucks he can't even find second with an open gate...
👍👍
Mataz007 syncromesh seems to be going out... and impropper down shift rev match/blip
adpmol cars and stuff its italian made...
I watched this video and I found this outrageous because the way he was driving the car it was like fast and furious!!!
Lmao at 1:30 he's like "shift, shifftttt, where did those damn padd... oh yea 6 speed LOL"
Driving goals...honestly
Now that's how you drive a Ferrari!! Thanks for sharing, still can't get this sh!try smile off my face!!
Nice driver, avoided walls and sidewalks in such narrow roads! And nice Ferrari, MT ones are rare.
AWESOME!!! ❤️
La 599 manuale è qualcosa di unico veramente. Grande March
did you see him looking for the flappy paddle at 01:30 ? i laughed so hard ;D, great video marchettino, as always (y)
that guy is damn good on driving that thing.
gated shifters are the coolest thing ever!! i wish car manufacturers would bring these back instead of all the paddles
Slightly extraordinary on road driving video! Still I like manuals too, but after driving my twin clutch F12 the gaps between each gear on this car seem enormous compared to what I am getting used to.
THAT my friends, is how you properly drive a 6 speed manual Ferrari. Take note, and remember in case you're ever in this situation.
And to the ppl who thumbs downed this video-- You're not smart. ......
Manual Ferrari? awesome!
I have come back to this video more than once. So hot!
This guy is actually having fun with his Ferrari!!!!!
albeit slightly dangerous but good effort
The placement of the gates shifter!
That gear changing incident at 1:30 could in some context cost a playboy a lot of money.
Raul’s driving !!
This guy can drive!!!
1:30 he goes for the paddle😂💀
I thought I was the only one to notice 😂👌
Raul sempre il numero uno!
Now that's a proper Ferrari.
I love that gear shifting sound
Gotta love this owner!
Freaking insane! Awesome video Marchettino! Btw love his nautilius watch!
una sola parola: FANTASTICA !
The mechanical clunk of the gated shifter sounds so good
ahhhhrghh quel 'click-clack' mi fa morire!!! altro che palette dietro al volante!
beautiful nautilus too!
Nice watch!
The feelings, the engaging and the passion can't be quantified. I do not care if the owner of this Ferrari leads properly, videos like this reminds us what the automotive world is losing because the absurd obsession for the numbers and stupid viral videos about drag times with cars that are made not just for go fast in straight line, where the drivers just have to push the throttle pedal and, in the best of case, move only one or two fingers for change gears.
Great job, *****. Stay well.
I'd never get one, just listen to the sound of the metal gear stick hitting the grid during gear changes, that shit would drive me fucking insane haha
Beautiful watch and car
Driver of the year, he uses his toy:)
That timepiece ...
Who's paying for the new tyres?
Apart from the Ferrari that Patek is craaaaazy
Smoothness is elegance. No brutality please.
1:30 i don't know why i find his fingers' action funny ~ hahah
