Simple practical using aseptic techniques to investigate the sensitivity of E.coli to different antibiotics. Can also be carried out using filter paper discs (cut with a hole punch) soaked in different antiseptic solutions if antibiotic test discs are not available.

How come you used molten agar, we used standard agar jelly last year.

There are a few different ways of doing this practical. I find the molten agar method works best. The agar may also have been prepared for you in advance to save time.
