Thanks for joining me on this adventure. It’s early in the season for basking sharks so there will be plenty more opportunities to see them 🦈
Another great vid mate, like always 🧡
Had orcas up here in Aberdeenshire last week, amazing pictures
They’re amazing, would love to see them in the wild
That was great!
Great vid
Absolutely fantastic drone shots, and the underwater video fantastic to be joining you on your under sea adventures.
Ya know I've always wondered abt your safety with boats whilst diving, and you answered that today by raising that flag ... thankyou 👌
Love your enthusiasm mate!
I love your adventures
That was fun to watch. As regards the smalltooth sand tiger sharks, I thought that type of shark swam in warmer waters and quite deep. Could be that the habitat is changing, or over fishing, so they move elsewhere. Hope you find your go-pro, happy diving, stay safe.
Thanks Janet, they are used to warmer seas but bay of Biscay is a known spot for them which is fairly temperate too. Appreciate the comment
Poor Dogfish looked lonely, its very concerning by the lack of fish and Alien species washing up .
Hopefully you'll find your Go-Pro and the Basking Sharks will return by the next video , have an amazing week ✌️👩🚒👨🚒💯
Cheers Dodge! 😎😎😎
Your a good lad keep up the content 👌🫡
Another great vid👍 hey im with you on tge great white theory mate, and when one is discovered i hope you het some credit for bringing it to light more+more.i do a lot of anging on the RIVER CLYDE+surrounding LOCHS and the amount of unexplained sealife on my travels ive seen is mad😂 one moment in particular on LOCH FYNE,i witnessed a 200lb grey seal torpedo out the water in panic and kand about 3ft from me that seal stayed on those rocks with me for 25 minutes maybe.i just still to this day thought it extremely weird.we do have orca on occasion but you know when orca are around.jyst thought id mention that incident and we'll wait and see how tge OSEARCH expedition goes keep uo the good work mate👍👍
Great video as always but shame there wasn't any baskin sharks or seals , better luck next time 👍 RIP go pro 🤷🏻♂️unlucky pal 🇬🇧🦈
Thanks Steve! I’m ever hopeful I’ll capture some large basking sharks this summer
@@AirbornePirates fingers crossed 🤞
Anyone else see the body shape in the water behind him on 14:05? spooky that !
Our water up here is usually green, too. In the summer it's like soup.
I love and appreciate your videos so much ! Keep it up 👍
Brilliant great clip watch before hard day at work 😂😂one day ur going to come face to face with great white ❤😂🚒👍
Great video x 😊 👍 keep us updated
Amazing footage and content as always mate! Loved it💪🏻💪🏻
Mint video. Fair play, you put a lot of effort and expense into this and it 's great to see the journey progress with the shark quest. Well done mate, good luck on your hunt 👍
With the shark found floating... potentially a big trawler caught it in their nets and just dumped it back overboard, before the local fisherman found it.
Possible, strange that it’s the third one though, all dead
Another great little video! I live in the Midlands, so anything to do with the sea is a winner! Even if you don't see anything, keep the videos coming! I'm sure I represent thousands of other people as well who only get to see the sea once or twice a year! 😊👍
Cheers Nigel’ 🙌
I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks Ian much appreciated
Hi , I've only just come across your videos, they are excellent, at 14.6 there is a ghost over your right shoulder. Cheers
Another shark video! Better spark up my zoooot
Great video as always. One query if I may, I know you know what you're doing but is there a procedure to stop another diver going in after you, coming out before you, and stowing the flag assuming that you've already come out?
Good question Keith, there isn’t many divers using this area so I doubt it would happen. Something I hadn’t considered though
I’m a retired research PhD marine biologist from the University of Glasgow. With the current heatwave and increased temperatures, zooplankton levels around the coast are most likely enhanced with a possibility of more Basking shark activity inshore. I would expect to see more reported sightings.
Thank you, we’ve had loads of it visible, is red algae the same thing?
@@AirbornePirates Phytoplankton (plant plankton) is made up of algae, both green and red, and is fed upon by zooplankton (animal plankton). This is composed of invertebrates called Copepods and invertebrate larval stages. It’s these that are fed on by larger filter feeders in the food chain like Basking sharks. Hope you’re lucky and able to see some. Best of luck!
Sry to hear about the go pro I’m seeing the basking sharks big time over here in Ireland
Howdo mate. Nice to see you out and about again, especially with the wildlife.
Hopefully just the first shark of the year.
Goodluck finding the gopro, gotta be in that seaweed?
[Edit.. thinking about it, that's not very helpful, is it?!]
Yes mate defo in the seaweed 😂
@@AirbornePirates 😆 well there you go... easy now, you'll thank me later!!!
ill keep a look out for it :)
😂 cheers mate
@@AirbornePirates i just shared my encounter again from 2 years ago in fleshwick, ill try upload to youtube just shared on my facebook
Great content. Did you manage to find it?
No bud. Plan is to get an underwater metal detector as the pole was metal
Out of interest, why didn't you try a search and recovery dive pattern? Drop a weight with a line on it and circle out from there? Good chance of finding it then. Love the videos btw, good luck shark/orca hunting
You need to buy or borrow an underwater metal detector
Borrow I think
@@AirbornePirates Hope you get it back! Many moons ago two of us were out doing a river survey in Argyll and my colleague dropped a GPS unit in a plunge pool. They cost an arm and a leg back then! We got some amount of grief for it and the 'c u next tuesday' tried to blame me for it! 😄
I was going to say how clear of Plastic debris it looked underwater, until you lost the plastic GoPro 🙂
On september 1785 a tiger shark was at Brighton beach
Pitty gopro dont have built in location finder
I tried to connect to it through the app but Bluetooth doesn’t work through water
Where abouts are you from pal? The accent sounds very local to myself
Isle of Man bud
Did i miss the sharks?
Yes, none found unfortunately. Still b early in the season for them
@@AirbornePirates oh, I scrolled a few times after, thought I was going mad. Better luck next outing!
5:48 get yourself some quacs coach 😉🫡
I’m not man enough 😂
