So if i'm understanding this correctly... the software is the same, the unit is just faster and they swapped the buttons out compared to V2?

There are some updates to the software, but my understanding from SRAM is that these updates are also rolling out to owners of the Karoo 2. Mostly around the SRAM ecosystem / integration with AXS bits & bobs, plus the new phone app that lets you pair the device with your phone for connectivity rather than requiring a wi-fi connection.
