Just as an aside: In most restaurants (not this one it seems), someone getting their food before you who came in after you doesn't mean anything. Cooks don't only make one meal at a time. The table who came in after you might have got salads and french fries while you ordered a fresh baked pizza. Of course they're going to get their food before you. I've always hated the "they got their food before us" complaint. Like, yeah, they did. Their food took 5 minutes to make while yours took 15.
it does depend on how long the wait is. but you are right there. as a former cook we cook multiple dishes at a time. whatever is done first gets served first to keep it fresh and hot, not bold and cold.

My grandparents owned a different breakfast restaurant in Southington. They really held down the game for the 15-20 years they owned it. Unfortunately they sold it back in 2012 to retire and it's never been the same since.

Try the Pepper Pot in center of Southington. Think you will love their breakfast. Especially the omelettes and two homefries choices. Also their house toast and Italian bread toast are both great. They also have delicious lunch. Everything homemade. And Carm is a wonderful waitress. Hope you give it a try.
There is a little breakfast spot in my neck of the woods that gets me excited. Can't say that about most breakfast dives. Beach mountain diner is where it's at.
I know im being kind of pretentious, but i start w/ water and lemon. If they get it from the faucet, or they forget the lemon and/or ice. Im out. If the places manages to mess up water, you know everything is downhill from there.
Before I even watch the rest of this video it's a hard NOOOOOOOO on those eggs! When I ask for scrambled eggs with cheese I expect the cheese to be scrambled in the eggs and I need REAL cheese not that sliced processed cheese food!
The bacon looked a day old, and they just reheated it. Trust me, restaurants and hotels do this all of the time. But there is a correct method in doing this. It looks like they did not use the correct method. Unless you order your scrambled eggs and omelet well done, Just by looking at them, I knew that they were totally over cooked!😜

Everything looks pretty standard to me. I'd rather chef up my own delicious breakfast to be honest. Eggs with cheese and Sriracha on top, bacon sizzling out the pan, homemade home fries with spicy surprise and some crispy toast that will have a person brag and boast: "This food got the MOST!"
Come to Niagara Falls you can pick any restaurant, love the ones that have $10.99 buffets but charge you 5 bucks for a coffee of milk and not provide water.

I brought out the food and realized the first of the five tables (keep in mind this is the first of 5 by about 10 seconds) still didn't have their food. I stopped and my blood went cold and I was like "I know I put it in. I put it in. I did right?!?" I checked and.... Nope. However, that only happened once or twice with me in 7 years and I was completely overwhelmed. If you have ONE table and then a second one comes in half an hour later and gets their food first... I dunno the solution but it isn't waiting tables. There's really no excuse for that.

Who puts slices of cheese on scrambled eggs instead of mixing it in? The potatoes looked mushy, overcooked, not fried. The omlette looked dry and unappealing, so did the cheese.
That breakfast didn't look bad. It looks better than some I've had. I travel around the country driving an 18 wheeler and I've seen some really bad breakfasts.
