You people don't get these cars to vlog and when you guys get its always modified one . Be it ritz or any other model which was good . The thing is cars like these are very vfm in second hand market . We wish that you will get stock ones so that we can get a good review

It's been 17 years and we still have the Getz - 1.3 GLS.
How much millage it gives in city and highway with ac and without AC.
And spares available or not i am planing to buy.

@@obulibalaji561 City Mileage ranges between 8-13kmpl with or without AC depending on the way you drive.
On highways, the best I've achieved with AC is 18kmpl (Driving at 80-90) or about 16-17 while driving at 110-120.
Spare Part availability is a problem. I often have to look around a lot for things as basic as Fuel Filter (Petrol filter in my case). Even Hyundai service centres barely come to the rescue of Getz owners in times of need.
Lately I've been using Boodmo for parts and it has for sure brought in a lot of convenience.

Hyundai getz was the most underrated car .
First car of our family, had the 1.3 GLS. This vlog brings back memories when I was in my 1st grade. We no longer have it but it was such a good car

Have it since 2008.. 1.1 gvs.. 93k kms done.. just regular service.. getting mileage of 15 in city, 18 on highway.. no modifications done.. all original.. overall happy with it..

Where do you service your car? What engine oil do you use?
@@leoncj1 For 10 years I used to give it in Hyundai service center but now I am taking it to local mechanic.. However, I will be there for the whole day in front of my vehicle while they do the service... I treat it as my baby and hopefully will keep it with me for many more years... I use regular oil (5w 30) only , I think I am getting higher average because I hardly use AC in city.. and on highways usually drive between 80-100 kmph with AC..

My car as well has only been to the same Hyundai service center for the last 14 years of her life but I feel past 2 years their services are become to bad, no care for the vehicle.. only reason I still go there is because of parts availablity.
I don't use the AC that often, only during rains or when the heat is to much and Highway also I keep to 80-100/110.
Do you use fully synthetic or semi synthetic oil?
And till date how many times have you changed your clutch?
@@jatin1531 living in hills so no need of AC that much.. only during rainy season I use AC.. and on highways to reduce drag..
@@leoncj1 I use regular premium oil only.. it’s not synthetic.. usually servo/shell/Castrol brand.. clutch plate I change in last month itself for the first time at 91k kms.. I could have clocked 100k kms but I had difficulty while engaging reverse gear.. so my mechanic suggested to change.. tyres also changed only once at 65k kms..
I love this car. This is my first car 13 years and still good condition. I know some getz that reach 330,000 km mileage and still strong.

I have 1.5crdi 2008 model. And it has never troubled us in roads till now except puntures. Thanks to our luck..
Had two getz with me. One was 1.3 GLS and one 1.1 gle. Both were fantastic. Suspension and comfort was top notch. But maintenance and mileage was something which bothered me a lot.. so sold both. But still I miss the comfortable ride of it.
It was first car of our family and we are never ever going to sell it😎

Watching this from Europe - I drive a 1.1 Getz too - it's very interesting, if a little crazy with the cows and trees and holes in the middle of the highway, people cutting in casually, and crazy sharp turns: the road almost looks like some rally stage; also you're saying the fuel economy on the Getz is bad - here this is one of the most economical (at least older, petrol) cars you can get.

The car with the best 3rd gear in the automobile market.... If handled properly the 1.3L petrol can pull right from 20 kmph till 100 kmph. Believe me when I say it, been doing that on mine for the past 16 years now. Still not willing to let go coz' its still going smooth. Thankfully mine doesn't rock like a boat as is with my Dad's first generation i10. Highway ride is super smooth as long as it is around 100~110 kmph, feels well planted and gives you around 15-16 kmpl that all, city it will never give you North of 10 kmpl however you drive.

Not first but 2nd after Swift. Hyundai tried to compare this car with Suzuki Wagon R purposely and still lost the battle. Swift came out be a huge winner. Infact Getz was a little less powerful at 82 BHp than Swift's 87 Bhp
But it's diesel very powerful 110 bhp but still flop
You are probably right in marketing stand point . But as a car in India and other parts of world it was a premium hatchback and even came with 1.5 diesels and 1.4 petrol engines in some markets . And defently did not sell well due to weak and inefficient engines and poor marketing. But travelled in one of them and felt very spacious in front and rear as well compared same time periods Swifts and waganors.

And all these primium hatchbacks were sold in very low quantity.todays such examples are premium crossovers like Maruti S cross, Nissan kicks etc which are really good cars but did not have many flaws except poor marketing ( and bad after sales service in case of nissan) which are outsold by crossovers which name themselves as SUVs and are overpriced.
