  • Codex Alexandrinus is one of four manuscripts from the first millennium that were originally whole Bibles. Codex Sinaiticus, Codex Vaticanus, and Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus are the other three.
In this video, New Testament scholar Dan Wallace tells us more about this Alexandrian manuscript and why it's important.

Where was Codex Alexandrinus, before the October 23, 1721 fire or before 1627 - sixteen years after the KJV was printed? It doesn't appear to be much older than the 1600's to me. Huge margins, wasting loads of space. Do other manuscripts before 1627 or much earlier have that feature? When did multiple columns start to come into fashion?
David Daniels with the ChickTracts channel has tracked down Codex Sinaiticus as being created in the late 1800s. The videos are freely available providing the evidence. If this Codex Alexandrinus dates to being saved from a fire in 1721 then who or what facts do we know showing it is the 5th century? I see that the person in this video claims the codex was given to the King of England 16 years after the KJV was printed. Was that coincidental?
At the end of the video, he says that it's the best for Revelation without providing evidence for that. In another video by a Bible Expert, Stephen Hocking, he says that a very important passage in Revelation 5 differs in Codex Alexandrinus from all of the 20 something existing manuscripts available. Yet the modern Bible Translations use the Codex Alexandrinus fragment instead. ua-cam.com/video/kFINlnydC0k/v-deo.html

You are misleading people. The Vaticanus has greater margins and more columns. Satan, get away from us, trying to discredit God's Word!

This is misleading, does he not know about Codex Amiatinus. That is a whole Bible codex and it dates to 700 AD. That is a whole Bible manuscript from the first millennium.

      Amiatinus is Latin, not Greek.

In the world of there's nothing wrong with a few errors here and there. That's not what the scripture says that's not what God says, the people that have perverted his word will pay. But when judgment day comes around, sure the world is thinking that they should have been getting it right the first time.

"only 4 manuscripts that were originally whole Bibles". Really? If you are specifically talking about the Greek translations. There are MUCH older whole Bibles written in Aramaic. The Aramaic very probably being the original language the New Testament was authored in.

In Acts 6:9 Alexandrians and others were the ones who stirred the people and got false witnesses against Stephen and other saints .Also the so called new bible versions that are going off this, the same codex that JW cult uses. compare JW new world translations with NIV, and others. No difference.

At the end of this video we really see Dr. Wallace’s extreme bias against the Traditional (Majority Text). The “important” part of Codex Alexandrinus is........ 😂 👎

Have to agree with you here; nothing good textually comes form Alexandria, and the mixing of texts just sets off alarm bells for me.
