Great video, and so few views! You captured the landscape and the feeling of a bike packing trip. That shot of the wind turbine in the fog is epic.

What a shame that the end of your ride wasn’t like the rest. It’s a massive achievement though, both back to back is huge well done 👏🏽. Love ya channel

I got married in the church that you camped near. Lovely place. Moved to Dartmoor now. Good to see the North in such nice weather. Great drone shots.

You deserve a lot from the efforts you put into this channel Josh, both physically and emotionally, from an armchair bikepacker (who just finished the KAW) how do you do these routes on your own?

I'm confused. You had at least another 100 miles to go before you reached the second city 😜
    ps this was beautifully filmed
pps any reason for riding in long sleeves during the heat? Was it to avoid midges.

Stunning scenery. You captured the feel of the countryside. Taking the time to stop. Set up the camera. Get the shot. Go back and get the camera. All that has to add a lot of time to your ride. Thank you for this episode.
For comparison, on my ride today I took a picture of ONE flower.😆

That has kind of confirmed what I sort of feared: it's a route much more suitable to MTB with a lot of hike a bike and some questionable route choice. It sort of puts me off trying it.
    Great video as always!

no no a mtb would only be good for the last 50 miles really. There is a lot more distance covered on gravel roads and roads overall on this route.

Hi, at 21:40 you say that, that hill is not worth it (makes sense) could you tell me where that is, my guess is that it is on the way down to Kirkland, is that right? Thank you in advance.

There are hidden official wild camping spots at Kielder if you email the forestry commission.

Brilliant Josh, I'm just loving your laid back style and adventures. I'm a 60 year old long distance road biker but I've been inspired by you to research and purchase a road/gravel bike for next year and get out on the beaten track and try some wild camping. Can't wait.
I was watching this video the other night and my wife (a country music lover) heard the backing track music on the video and is desperate to find out what the track is. At 9:54 in the video a brilliant country blues song accompanies your video, can you tell me who sings it and what the track is called please?
    Keep up the great videos

@@KeepSmilingAdventures I didn't expect such a quick response, thanks Josh. I just finished your Lakeland 200 video. Hiker biking way off the beaten track doesn't look quite so tempting. Route planning software not always as good as it should be. Still much better than being at work though. 🙂
