Thanks for having me! Stoked to try some more this summer, perhaps once the rain backs off a bit...
Great to see Katherine providing content here, she is definitely in her element on gravel. Hope to see more.
Another good reason to ride off road in the UK is that you don’t have to worry about bears and big cats! Here in the US it can be a real concern on some routes.
I only worry about people coming across my camp at night. Might get a fox, badger or the odd big cat, thankfully we don't have bears,
Great video , very inspiring , Many thanks. See you on the trails.
Nice to have Katherine here! Great info guys at Cycling weekly!
Wow it was a surprise to see Kath as a guest, I am following her on Komoot and I have to say, I am getting exhausted just by seen what she is doing, she is on the saddle day and night :D Great video, great information, thank you. At least we have cycling videos these rainy days :D
Katherine is brilliant. More please!
Great stuff! Always looking for the next adventure.Did GNT last year on Ribble CGR electric, lovely bike, but in hindsight , a full suspension non electric mountain bike would have been better. Stayed in accommodation along the way and the plan worked to perfection.18 days, 40 miles per day 720 miles.Following Kamoot, good bit of kit.Think Nike, ‘just do it’. Holland again next year😂
Thanks...she did Dirty Kanza ! Tough person !! Be safe .
Some good routes there. I did half of the southdowns way on a CX bike once...... would use a mountain bike if I had to do it again as no suspension was too hard going.
Good one🎉
Love it
Why didn't you mention just a road one, I understand most bike packing cyclists prefer gravel but some prefer road as well. Thanks
Looked at your Komoot profile, and couldn't see the Wales routes you featured .. they looked epic. Can you point me at the right place please. Ta😉
Did you mean the WalesDURO route, North to South in two days? Here's the Collection: www.komoot.com/collection/900599/celtic-rugged-beauty-by-trail-wales-north-to-south - good luck!
More of this
Did King Alfred’s way in 5 days on a hybrid bike. Thoroughly enjoyable. Just wouldn’t recommend doing it when wet due to mud and chalk. Slippy.
The Sandstone Way is very good.
Central Wales has a desert due to the very low density of stock the poor ground will sustain. That's the definition of a desert. Cwmystwyth had leadmines. Slate is restricted to North Wales. Mid Wales has a lot of lead and shale.
What bikes are you using?
Gb divide ?
A familiar face.
