Another way to not have to worry about overlap: Mesh Boolean "Difference". For example, take your "frame array" and subtract it from the "glass" and when you combine the new glass with the frames, they fit perfectly. And "subtract" 2nd frame array from first" so they don't overlap. ^_^
This is the first use of nodes I've seen that actually seems useful

"Point instance" is not in 3.0 Released.
"Instances *on* points" is the node you want.
