I've gotta 2005 Ford XLT 5.4L 4x4 now in 2019. She's got 193k miles on her, but it's still my daily/offroad truck. I've always kept up with maintenance, and have yet to have a problem. There's some minor cosmetic issues, sure (it's an 05), but it's mechanically sound. Very smooth ride despite having km3s ;-) I'll probably make a video about the truck soon.
idc what ppl say about fords I drive a 2004 ford f150 and I love it ..all I see on the streets is ford ford ford... every work truck is a ford.... FORD ALL DAY !!!
major props on the truck. usually i look down on new trucks with chrome that are set up for off road cuz almost all never see dirt. you put this ford through it.
At the time I installed the lift, boggers were not out for a 17" rim yet, only 16.5" rims. The new F-150's caliper/rotor combination doesn't allow for a small enough rim to run boggers. If I could have gotten boggers I would have, but it's an aggressive enough mud tire to not be a spectacular difference from the bogger anyway. Thanks for the feedback.
something about this generation was just done so well for off roading, i take mine on crazy trails and the atvs and dirt bikers are just in awe that i even got in that deep.
Glad to see a new truck lifted with big tires that is ACTUALLY ON THE TRAILS. Most new trucks lifted are for show and are just sucking up gas on the highway. Your truck looks hot and can climb!
nice Ford them are the best lookin ones since 73-79 with 76-77 header panel grill inserts for XLT. don't get me wrong I like the rest but I guess everybody has their opinion or what they like. Nice ride, bud. "The Best Never Rest"
i was mad a little earlier but after seeing that ford dominate the trails and bailing out the jeep and chevy it made my day. First On Race Day Baby!!!!!
haha i got a 2002 fx4 f150 6" fabtech on 35" pro comp xtreme all-terrains. this video is my favorite muddin video ive seen. keep the fresh mud on the paint!
I love my 2004 F150, wouldn't trade it for anything. I haven't off roaded in it, but it does great in the deep snow and mud. My off roader is a stripped down, light, 1990 Ford Ranger, built 4.0 v6 super charged at 14 psi pushing 360 bhp, 8 inch lift on 40" Super Swampers driven by 513 gearing. I usually reserve it for mud bogging, but I've taken it trail riding a time or two.
yes, make an offer. Truck now has Amp Research electric steps, TV's in headrests, Avic Z1 Navigation + DVD + Bluetooth + Rear View Camera, custom neon white bedlighting, 4 HID headlights, and much more.
Awesome vid!! I'm thinkin of going back to ford this coming fall. Really nice truck. Not sure if it's been asked but what size lift/tires and what exhaust?
Looking into them, but I've only heard prices of around $20k per set on a full size truck. Quads are about $3-4k. Thanks for the comments guys, I read them all and often message back! I only speak English btw.
I never understood the appeal of wheeling full size trucks. People always argue it's because of the power, but my little 4 liter inline 6 has more than enough power for any off-road use, and after all the mods still cost well under 10k and is still a reliable daily driver. Jeeps own!
Now thats what i like! A person who fixes up a truck and puts in the terrain its built for. I hate seeing a jacked up bad ass truck that has never seen mud. Its a complete waste!
6 inch, they don't make an 8" for the new body style, you're thinking of the 97-03 era F-150's. It sits as an 8" lift the way I lifted it (cranked coilovers and an AAL in the rear)
@TheUsernine depending on the engine size and tires. like an all stock f150 v8 can get average 14+ MPG in town and 18+ MPG on the highway. bigger tires may bring the milage down because the engine has to work more to get the truck going. my old bronco used to get 14 city till i got tires that are an inch taller brings my bronco down to less that 12 MPG.
Many people disagree with the Government support American automotive companies received BUT the fact is, thanks to these loans Ford and GM are making the best vehicles ever- from any country. Ford and GM are making revolutionary cars and trucks. GM is once again the worlds largest automaker. Ford is making very high quality vehicles. Ford and GM both sell vehicles in other countries and a lot of that money comes back here.
Cool truck man, it's nice to see someone with a rig like that who actually wheels. No offense though but I'm sure my 87 Ranger, near stock except for some engine mods, a 2 inch lift and 31's could almost out wheel yours haha. At least it's still blue oval though.
haha go josiah :P but actually the older ford broncos kicked ass offroad... even stock they were doing better then most other trucks with mods... broncos lifted and mudders are another story... keep up the good work
Did you install a limited slip or a locker in the rear end? Thats an issue with my buddy's f150, my old school Z71 runs circles around his lol, but you got a nice truck, that water hole you went through was pretty damn deep at the end!
@thevinceberry Right, im talking older motors, like the classic 5.7 350. Thats the most produced motor on the planet. There made in Mexico and still really popular in things like rebuilt trucks, buggys, truggys, inboards, mud trucks and other things.
It's around Patterson, south of Stockton. I did install the A-Pillar Spotlight, would not do it again. Drilled a 1/2" hole into reinforced sheet metal nearly breaking my wrist.
If you take care of things like diff and trans breather tubes, change out fluids regularly or after a few submerges, etc the truck will be ok. You just have to expect scratches in the paint and other cosmetic damages. I've sustained several drivetrain damages offroad in this truck so even though people say you can't kill a Ford, you can injure it :P
@faniman57 The 2004 and 2005 had the rectangle foglights, after that, they were switched to round. If you buy a bumper for a 2004 or 2005, I'd imagine it'd fit just fine and you'd have your foglights.
ah ok, not near as north as i am lol, im a couple hours north of sacramento, my f150 dosnt have as much done to it as yours but i still have fun messin around :D
Vibration on the road would only be caused by the wheels being out of balanced or a bad alignment. Of course, the bigger M/T tires will cause some vibration and wont ride like a "P" rated tire. Just make sure you get some steering stabalizers if your worried about vibration. Also, I would stay away from 22" rims. No use in off roading, plus it looks goofy IMO. 20" rims are PLENTY big, and I run 18" rims. If your thinking about buying this truck, i suggesr seeing it in person. Looks 10x better
ahh dude your sellin your truck, thats kinda sad too me, i never left a comment before, but i have been watching this video for a couple years now,...well a little over a year ago now, i bought myself a 2004 FX4 supercrew, and i put in a nice little pro comp lift kit, and the idea all satarted from you and your kick ass truck,TY
Ahora estamos en el año 2024 y las personas dicen que estas ford 2004 no sirven 😅 pero no importa lo que digan yo estoy feliz con mi troka ford f 150 4x4 lariat 💪
i will admit im a chevy guy but i also like ford they make great trucks and especailly the f150 all i gotta know is how high do you got it lifted because i wanna lift my f150 but i dont know how high it should be for the conditions of muddin and off roadin any help be great, and also great video
I own a 1950 Ford F1 pickup... and it never seems to amaze me on how far it will get before it gets stuck... Ford has always made Awesome trucks
my 71 f100 4x4 in 2wd in compound goes and goes w o engaging 4x4
I've gotta 2005 Ford XLT 5.4L 4x4 now in 2019. She's got 193k miles on her, but it's still my daily/offroad truck. I've always kept up with maintenance, and have yet to have a problem. love the scene where you're pulling out the old chevy. makes me feel all warm and tingly

major props on the truck. usually i look down on new trucks with chrome that are set up for off road cuz almost all never see dirt. you put this ford through it.
Awesome truck man! It's nice to see someone take a nice truck through the mud like that!
nice to see a truck that looks that good actually driving offroad

I am the proud owner of a 2004 F150 lol :) I love these trucks. 175000 and still going nice and strong
Bout damn time I see a good video for these trucks!!! Man keep up the good work!!!
This is the best looking wheel, tire, lift setup i have seen. Nice job
Glad to see a new truck lifted with big tires that is ACTUALLY ON THE TRAILS. Most new trucks lifted are for show and are just sucking up gas on the highway. Your truck looks hot and can climb!
FORD'S the BEST!!!!
I don't think there is a better wheel and tire combo, i love it! and those nittos are just awesome
awesome truck man... it is one of the best sounding f150s i've heard on youtube too... nice !
i love where he has to pull out the jeep shows how badass f 150s are when they have to pull a very capable 4x4 machine up a hill like that
Thanks, I love the positivity most of you give!
gorgeous truck! i love ford f-150s. beautifully built, inside and outside. i love my f-150 04.
nice Ford them are the best lookin ones since 73-79 with 76-77 header panel grill inserts for XLT. don't get me wrong I like the rest but I guess everybody has their opinion or what they like. Nice ride, bud. "The Best Never Rest"
one of the best offroading vids on youtube. nice truck man!!!
i was mad a little earlier but after seeing that ford dominate the trails and bailing out the jeep and chevy it made my day. First On Race Day Baby!!!!!
haha i got a 2002 fx4 f150 6" fabtech on 35" pro comp xtreme all-terrains. this video is my favorite muddin video ive seen. keep the fresh mud on the paint!
One of the nicest F150s i have seen on youtube
I just want to say I appreciate you compliment! Best of luck to you and your FX4.
gotta appreciate the fact that this guys does take his truck offroad. most guys with shiny new lifted trucks never see dirt...
I love my 2004 F150, wouldn't trade it for anything. I haven't off roaded in it, but it does great in the deep snow and mud. Yeah, I bet
Very inspiring! I got me a Ford F150 4x4 recently and I am dying to take it out!
yes, make an offer. Truck now has Amp Research electric steps, TV's in headrests, Avic Z1 Navigation + DVD + Bluetooth + Rear View Camera, custom neon white bedlighting, 4 HID headlights, and much more.
Ford Power. American steel and American muscle. The toyotas and Nissans can pee in one hand and wish in the other. See which one fills up first.
you make no sense
Toyota tundra is a great of road vehicle.
Slovak Gamer
its an actual saying, you're just ignorant.
ohedd no its not, too heavy and too low. the old tacomas were great though.
Toyota Tundra are fantastic but if you live in America then you must own an F150.
best ford ever the 2004 f150... I love it, and your f150 is one good proof of it
Awesome video bud ! Now we have to get that body lift installed on her !
thats a sick truck you have there my friend, this coming from a HUGE Dodge fan.
Not sure if he had the same setup in 2006 but I believe he has a 6" Fabtech with coilovers cranked to 8".
one of the nicest f-159's ive seen
The song is Hicktown by Jason Aldean.
imma chevy guy,but i do love your f150..there is only one other f150 i like on this whole youtube...nice truck man
Beautiful truck. Keep up the good work out there in the mud. Don't want too many Chevy's gettin stuck out there with no one to pull them out ;)
Hopefully will be driving my new f-150 by the end of the week...soooo pumped
Awesome vid!! I'm thinkin of going back to ford this coming fall. Really nice truck. Not sure if it's been asked but what size lift/tires and what exhaust?

Nice of you to help out The Fall Guy there at the end.
Now thats what i like! A person who fixes up a truck and puts in the terrain its built for. I hate seeing a jacked up bad ass truck that has never seen mud. Its a complete waste!
Glad to see it ain't a pavement princess like so many rigs like these.
These trucks are hard to beat, especially for the price you can get them for currently.
6 inch, they don't make an 8" for the new body style, you're thinking of the 97-03 era F-150's. It sits as an 8" lift the way I lifted it (cranked coilovers and an AAL in the rear)
AWSOME truck and awsome video. Keep the videos comin man
Your ford is TOP TIER in my book
@TheUsernine depending on the engine size and tires. like an all stock f150 v8 can get average 14+ MPG in town and 18+ MPG on the highway. bigger tires may bring the milage down because the engine has to work more to get the truck going. my old bronco used to get 14 city till i got tires that are an inch taller brings my bronco down to less that 12 MPG.
awsome truck one of the best I've seen!!!!would lov too see more of the truck!FORD RULES!!!!!!!!
This is a gem

It's in Patterson CA, and it is IFS.
Limited slip is what I have. And it's in San Joaquin County, Frank Raines is by Patterson, CA.
haha go josiah :P but actually the older ford broncos kicked ass offroad... even stock they were doing better then most other trucks with mods... broncos lifted and mudders are another story... keep up the good work

Thanks guys. The truck is now higher with many more mods done. I should get up a video sometime.
That is a beautiful f150 dude !!!
I freaking want a truck like that one day!!
It's around Patterson, south of Stockton. I did install the A-Pillar Spotlight, would not do it again. Drilled a 1/2" hole into reinforced sheet metal nearly breaking my wrist.
Nice looking ford simple yet badass! I have the same one.

I've sustained several drivetrain damages offroad in this truck so even though people say you can't kill a Ford, you can injure it :P
Ford for life!!! Hell yeah! I hope to get my 07 F150 up there like that!
Great video, beautiful truck, even better song!
im so glad ford got rid of those torsion bars for the front suspension and went back to coil springs. Coils just have more travel for offroad use
yeah chevy guy here too. and that probably the sickest ford i have seen.
Nice Truck, Nice Video, Excellent choice of music!!
Niiice. I didn't know those f-150's did so good.
very nice. luv seein that ford everywhere i go. makes a statement taht chevy....just cant quite cut it againts ford. great video
Who DOESN'T love a good F-150?
That truck is badass. Nice stuff!
Looks like the Ford was pulling everything...Great looking truck. Will you ever get it clean?
i dont think i have ever seen a ford pulling a jeep lol great vid
thanks, and my F150 has the Limited Slip rear end option. Again, thanks for the compliments.
krayjay I know it’s been years lol but what wheels are those
@@ELKOBRA03 lol no worries, those were 20" Mazzi Hulks!
Nice F150, sounds amazing, thats the sound i want
@faniman57 The 2004 and 2005 had the rectangle foglights, after that, they were switched to round. If you buy a bumper for a 2004 or 2005, I'd imagine it'd fit just fine and you'd have your foglights.
God damn that's a great looking truck! How much did the wheels/tires and lift set you back?
What kind of lift and tire size do you have on that ford? Looks amazing!
ah ok, not near as north as i am lol, im a couple hours north of sacramento, my f150 dosnt have as much done to it as yours but i still have fun messin around :D
looks good with them nitto mud grapplers has it seen any thick mud
@offroadingmachine007 they dont, they just have the most sold because they didnt switch to more efficient engines
Love my 04 f150 I’ve got the 4.6, wish I had the 5.4 but I just got my 04 and it has no rust and only 42,000 original miles on it so I can’t complain.
That truck is fucken beautiful.. got a nice lift, wheels and sounds bad ass

If your thinking about buying this truck, i suggesr seeing it in person. Looks 10x better
Nice video. Incredible truck!
Can you tell me what music is that?
nice truck. where about in nor cal are you/is that trail? and did you install the pillar spotlight yourself?
ahh dude your sellin your truck, thats kinda sad too me, i never left a comment before, but i have been watching this video for a couple years now,...well a little over a year ago now, i bought myself a 2004 FX4 supercrew, and i put in a nice little pro comp lift kit, and the idea all satarted from you and your kick ass truck,TY
Man your truck is kick ass
Ahora estamos en el año 2024 y las personas dicen que estas ford 2004 no sirven 😅 pero no importa lo que digan yo estoy feliz con mi troka ford f 150 4x4 lariat 💪
That model of f150 is great for cruising with 10 people in the back :)
just need some fender flares on the ford now. looks good man
i got a 04 f150 lariat proud of it man i want to do a lift like yours
how much did it cost to lift it
Nothing can stop a ford, not even a lake.
This video is sick up until the time the music starts, which is the beginning.
love your video's where in norcal are all your videos filmed?
i will admit im a chevy guy but i also like ford they make great trucks and especailly the f150 all i gotta know is how high do you got it lifted because i wanna lift my f150 but i dont know how high it should be for the conditions of muddin and off roadin any help be great, and also great video
@SpeedFreak8900 actually the explorer is one of the least recalled vehicles ever produced, the Dodge caravan and toyota anything are the most recalled
