    I learned to ride on dirt bikes and a 92 750 Nighthawk was my first street bike. Riding it was the most fun I had with my clothes on.

    Back in 1992 I bought new a Honda Nighthawk 750. I was so in love with the bike I kept it until 2006. Today I own 2020 Honda Goldwing. If I came across a Nighthawk in that condition I would buy just to have it. Enjoy that bike youngman. From Clearwater Beach Florida Pinellas County. Mr. Benjamin Huhn, Retired.

    Great bike congrats. I have 92 bought with 6k miles on it and now its at 25k. I live in Boston and weather gets rough here and I ride in rain etc.Cut the story short exhaust rusted to pieces with holes all over specially underneath the bike.I ordered Delkovic full exhaust for 410 and weighs 5lb vs stock 55lb.Needless to say it transformed the bike now its agile like a sport bike.I changed handlebars,shimmed the carbs and upholstered the seat with brown real leather.Overall its been dead reliable.I also do my tire changes sprockets and chain.This bike has not been in a shop.Since I bought it I also purchased pristine Vulcan 1500 classic basically Harley road king copy but whole better quality...love the vulcan too with cobra pipes. Now I am looking to buy Royal Enfield 350 desert classic.Love RE as well. Anyway enjoy the bike

    My first bike was a Nighthawk I felt in love with so did my wife even my second kid love to fall asleep on top of the tank. Unfortunately I had to sale it because of the things that are happening in my country and had to flee to another country, I count the minutes to get a bike as good as yours to get back on the saddle and just ride. Hope you enjoy now tours and the best.

      Raul-- I hope you meant to say the your "first bike" was a NIghthawk 450 or so (or less) -- all of which still have way too much power and weight for a first-time rider. If you're actually claiming (therefore encouraging) that "first-time riders" are OK with nearly 500 lb., 75-80 hp bikes that will do 120 mph, then it's obvious that you'are FOS, and have likely never had a bike at all. Explain yourself.

      @@farleyfuche4540 Hello, I'm not encouraging anyone it's just my story. My first bike was a 90 cc scooter then I change it for my Honda 750 Night Hawk, previously (six years before) my uncle thought me how to ride a shift bike in a 50 cc Honda and a Yamaha 1100 Midnight Special (that was a lot of fun). I just took things with special care and slow. I'm glad to say I have a record with no falls.

    I got mine for 1000$ at 40k miles. The previous owner got it as a beginner bike and it must have been too .much for him to handle. I got it as a first bike and now hitting 73,000 miles on the odometer has been amazing. It needed new fork seals, new chain, new tires, new battery so the works. It's been leaking oil since 40,000 miles from the valve cover and I'm just now getting to it. But I've never regretted getting this amazing bike. It's treated me well this year and a half and I did need to replace the wire harness but that's what I get for not cleaning out my connectors after riding in bad construction with cement in the air and not hosing the bike down at least if not take the tank off and clean out electrical connectors. But I've learned a lot about wrenching and fixing shit. But it would take another nighthawk to trade if I were to sell this one haha

Currently working on the keylock set with the local honda dealer's info/support and their locksmith. It's a treasure hunt once I open under the seat ~ maybe there's paperwork there. So far the title reconstruction with the help of the local Police Chief is positive. Support of the seller(s) who could care less about a motorcycle. And so ~ another Nighthawk love story. I just bought a 2003 Nighthawk in perfect condition with 9,412 miles on it. It was previously owned by two different gentlemen in their 70's. It has a new USA battery, and does need new tires since it still has the original tires. The oil looks like it was just changed. I just hit 84k mi. on my '91 ("Tokyo Rose"). Bought her 9+ yrs. ago with 19k on the clock. Always had her set up as a cruiser. Put a NATIONAL CYCLE Plexi-Fairing up front, 6 gal. backrest-trunk on the pillion, more luggage space behind on the rack.
      Will still take off like a shot, if you want to, and still gets up near (indicated) 120 mph. Still doesn't burn any oil if you keep it under 80 on a trip. And if you cruise under 75 mph (rare, I admit it), still gets slightly over 50 mpg - no doubt aided by the windshield-fairing.
      Back in the day I had a CB77 SuperHawk, which remains tied w/the Nighthawk as my very favorite bike of all time. Hope you and your baby had a very nice summer, rayray.

    my buddy has been looking for his first bike. he wanted a ninja 600 I told him no way, you've gotta learn on something with less power first. and Facebook marketplace, a 91 cb750 with 25k miles popped up for 1000 bucks. and I think he's going to get it. I told him I would buy it from him later when he's ready to upgrade. I would buy the bike right now but I have some large bills coming up and I need the money. so hopefully it ends up in my garage later ✌️😜

    My dad owns one that hasn’t been ridden since ‘86 (at least that’s the date on the expired tags) and it hasn’t been started since like 2013 and since my dad is gettin old (he’s 65 now) I wanna restore it so bad before his health declines to where he’s no longer able to ride but still after my 24 years of living, he won’t let me touch it😭😭

    • @AverageCarGuy
      @AverageCarGuy  2 роки тому

      Oh man. That’s sad. I would ask him to make it a project for the two of you. Tell him you want to learn how to work on motors and ask if he can teach you by restoring the CB. That might do it. As a dad, knowing that my boy wants to spend time with me is so enticing that I’ll do just about anything :)

    I have a 250 Honda. I'm 5'9 and 155lb. Is this too much of a bike for me? If the seat is low enough it should be fine I would think.

      @@AverageCarGuy I bit the bullet. $2800 with 38,000 miles. Beautiful shape. Front brake is 3/4 shot so that will need work but otherwise a rock chip in gas tank is it. I think I over paid but it runs so well and looks 85% new so I couldn't resist.

      @@Buddycoop1 you’ll very likely need to rebuild the forks too. They give out often. But you got a good deal. Enjoy it. My back has been out for a while and I can’t get off the floor for more than a few minutes. Don’t take your mobility for granted. Enjoy every f-big second. Be mindful and intentional of your riding.
