Shop liability insurance is high as it could be and charging reasonable labor would cost as much or more. Get yourself an old Century then overhaul it. Any mechanic can figure it out with some study.

All of my tubing on the main boom part it’s 5/16 thick. I think quarter inch would be plenty though.
