Glad to see The Fabelmans getting some love. It was such a heartwarming and genuine movie. One of Spielberg's finest in my opinion. A tragedy that it bombed. I always loved that ending shot, so I'm thrilled to see it recognised by the great George Miller!
I love how Mad Max became post-apocalyptic out of budget constraints, which then gave birth to an entirely unique genre of fiction. One of my favorite examples of making the most of what you've got.
The Fabelmans will go down as one of Spielberg's best, love to see Miller talk about it. That film has stayed with me since the day i saw it in theaters!
My favorite shot of George Miller is the ending of Lorenzo's Oil. Lorenzo's real-life story was still ongoing, so Miller took the lastest development by the time of the recording, i.e. his father goes to Italy, as an excuse to show the beautiful painted ceiling of a Roman church, and as the camera zooms in, you read what happened to his family during post-production. I just find it absolutely ingenious!
Miller and Chris Noonan have historically fought a lot about who "really" directed Babe, as they both take credit. Miller at least did a HUGE amount of preproduction on Babe and was an involved producer, but Noonan has made it clear that it's insulting to insinuate that Miller was the real director with all the work he put in. Miller, admittedly, is arguably my favorite director, but this credit stealing always looks bad on him, and it isn't great that this channel fed into it.
It’s just crazy to me how his filmography is all over the place. You know what to expect when Scorsese announces a new project. You know what to expect when Tarantino announces a new project. Miller? If it’s not Mad Max then who knows?
George Miller's crowning achievement in art is a shot from Mad Max: Fury Road that depicts an old woman holding a shotgun towards the camera/audience with words behind her painted on the wall: "WE ARE NOT THINGS."

anybody else a little worried about this new Furiosa film? Every time I see a shot it looks 'off' somehow like they used CGI way too much this time. Hopefully it's still great...
I watched the first Mad Max at a drive in . It captured a wide open land with odd ball types used to the desert. The crazed chopper pilot springing from the dust. They had something that was lost in the later movies. Now thrilled to have my own xb Ford. The sound of that turbo screaming is a rev head joy!
I love that his filmography is Mad Max movies, and Babe.
Don’t forget the happy feet duology
Happy Feet
Yeah I know, but it seemed funnier to keep it as it was
George has a range.
I was hoping they'd ask him about The Witches of Eastwick and Three Thousand Years of Longing too. Disappointed.
I love how just talking about the final shot of The Fabelmans has him laughing and grinning ear to ear.
George Miller's visual storytelling is truly unmatched, each shot is a work of art.
Okay the Furiosa shot he mentions was actually the best shot in the whole movie! Simply incredible

@@zacazzzcan you explain?
@@ericfurst6091No, he can't. He's completely pulling that information outta his @$$. 😅😂🤣
I can't wait to see what other iconic shots George Miller will create in future movies. So talented!
Mad Babe for example

Hollywood needs auteurs like George Miller more than ever

forgot how varied this man's filmography truly is! very interesting variety of shots!
I hope he gives us one more mad max.
I can listen to George talk about films all day.
Fury Road is just visual poetry. Any shot from that movie could be considered the best one

You’re amazing George Miller-love your work and vision. Thanks for the phenomenal contributions to film 🎉
I'll be off work early this Thursday, thank you very much.
The best ever action director
We need a Furiosa edit where the little mice read the chapter captions!
I love George who loves pretty things and is so mad max.
Let's watch Lorenzo's Oil tonight.
Name a better Australian project than Fury road
The Big Lez Show
Mad Max 2 / Road Warrior.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
The Babadook is close, Fury Road is still better tho.
Picnic at Hanging Rock
He's damn right, the first time a saw the drummers of the war party my mind was blown away. I was sure I was watching a great film.
My favorite Mad Max movie is first one.
The cars and bikes look as though they are really hummimg along at break neck speed!
A great movie , watched it not long along……again.
Weird that they put Babe(which he didn't direct) but not Babe 2(which he did direct)
He did co write it though. He probably had a lot of say in it, so I can see why they included the first film.
Thank you! Noticed that and it drove me mad as well

No 3KYOL either, which is strange. Had some amazing shots in it
Nevermind him producing and co-writing the film
WITNESS ME!

OH, WHAT A DAY! WHAT A LOVELY DAY!!
WE ARE AWAITED IN VALHALLA!!!
MEDIOCRE!!
MAXGAMBOL TV always here
I need another Babe film
There's a sequel that exists (directed by Miller), and it's damn good.
4:30 criminal that you don't show the shot in its entirety.
He makes adorable movies, he makes action-packed movies
That doof warrior reveal gets met everytime as well. That really gets the blood pumping in how awesome it is.
What about Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome
Facts, they probably just didn’t have time

shame about the audio!
It’s a shame we never got to see his Justice League Mortals. I’m hoping he gets the chance to direct a DC film some day. One of my favorite directors.
❤
I can’t wait to see Coma in Furiosa! (Yes he’s in it)
Now ?
He directed the second Babe, not the first one. He did produce both, though.
Already have tickets for Furiosa.
❤️🔥🎢❤️🔥❤️🔥🤞🤞🤞
No 3KYOL??
The editing of the B-Roll is so random.
Still waiting for the release....
Kickstarter? :-)
Him barely being able to articulate that Fabelmans shot because he's giggling is so funny
where is happy feet?
This is what I call “RANGE”.
So wait George is just outright taking credit for Babe now?
Well, credit for the title cards at least, which could very well been his idea. I’ve always wondered what his deal was with that movie.
@@PeterincanWriter Producer gives him a lot of ownership and creative control on how that turned out
What about “3,000 Years of Longing?”
Do the walking dead s4 what’s the difference

That's the best part, somehow

My least favorite scene in Fury Road is precisely the one he loves the most. XD

Funny how they realesed Babe in the year of the pig. Chinese zodiac 😋
Kinda bummed that 3000 Years of Longing didn't get any love here. 😕
Fury Road is 💩
this is awkward but george miller didnt direct the first babe lol
Yeahh.. the shots he chooses in his other films are pretty iconic.. while Furiosa is a jumbled mess of parts.
?? Furiosa is great! Especially the shot he mentions
