The best movie I've ever watched in my entire life. I didn't see Diogo Morgado as a hot Jesus but as a real Jesus who was always doing good things to people, he was happy in the middle of a crowd, suffering on the cross, and forgiving everybody's sins. He is also a handsome man but his performance as the son of God is beyond that. Congratulations to all who participated in this movie.
Me and my family like watching SON OF GOD over and over, now my youngest daughter knows every word that is spoken by this actor, And he's done a great job THE GREATEST LOVE STORY EVER, keep it up Diogo....
Andrea Desillas I would agree til I read an interview with Robert Powell. "He didn't LIKE playing that role, he couldnt put any of himself into the role. He wasnt religious. It was so cold he during the crucifixion scenes that he had to have his wife bring him brandy and cigarettes." Many other things he said totally ruined what used to be my favorite movie. Diogo and Jim Caveziel were both beautiful in theses roles. Diogo is a Christian! He understood how humbling and magnificent it was to play that role! To speak the words Jesus spoke! Neither he or Jim ever took this role lightly or hated doing it. Sorry, I went on a rant there. Not meaning to blast you. It's just that for years I LOVED Robert Powell in this role. He was so beautiful. It was just so disappointing that this had no effect on him at all. Now, to see Diogo talk about how he felt in the role is totally inspiring as well as beautiful!
This should have nothing to do with Diogo but the message Jesus Christ our Lord Savior brought to the world and that died on the Cross for our Salvation!!! That we may believe in Jesus Christ and share his Good News the Holy Scriptures!!! Diogo was suppose to be a vessel for sharing Jesus Christ's life and how we should live all around the world period and no more, that maybe one day each an everyone that sees this movie may come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!! John 3:16 - For God love so loved the world that he gave his only Son Jesus Christ, that who ever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life!!!
When o was a baby Christian I didn't find access to the Bible. I said "I need a good movie" God was with me and by "coincidence", on Amazon Prime video I found "the Bible series". That opened the gate to the Holy scripture. I watched one episode after the other and often I cried, because it was so beautiful. And when I saw the most beautiful Jesus ever, I fell in love. Diogo played Jesus exactly the way I imagined him. I watched the series so often that I feel so familiar with all characters. When I read my bible now, I have images of the actors and places on my mind. The series, which I saw first in April 2019 inspired me to travel to Israel. I went there in November....amazing standing on the remains of the synagogue in Caphernaum where Jesus read the Jesaja book. Remembering the film and thinking...." wow....that was here...". I love this movie., I love the Bible and I love Jesus.
