The ways in which your are right and also the ways in which you are not is SENSATIONAL! This is the viewing highlight of my week every week right now. Thank u for what u do!
Noah already confirmed traveling to the future. He saw Mikkel in 86 and Bartosz in 2019. And about the room. Charlotte literally found the wallpaper in the bunker.
A clue you guys wouldn't be able to get but is pretty clear to Europeans is that the Raider wrapper is a pre 1990 Twix wrapper. So finding one in 2019 is quite odd.
There are many such details that indicate the time only Germans would pick on, like the colour of the police uniforms, the boxy kind of school bags, the election posters etc.
This is an incredibly carefully written show, and it does not simply make mistakes. Not generally. But there is one in this episode: November 9th, 1986, is a Sunday. They even mention this since Helge's interview in two days was scheduled for Tuesday. Yet the school is open!
My personal "in universe" explanation for this is, that all that time travel shenanigans has led to some distortions of time itself. "The time is out of joint" to quote Shakespeare.
@@frankj10000 Well that still doesn't make sense because as mentioned, the episode itself acknowledges that it's Sunday in universe. Unless the distortion is that schools are open in Germany on Sundays?
@@annak2597 That's what I meant. Like somehow it's sunday but at the same time it's not. Some kind of "Wibbly wobbly timey wimey" stuff (if you're familiar with Doctor Who). It's the only way for me to make sense of it while watching, so that I don't get too annoyed by the obvious mistake the writer(s) made. I guess they wrote the whole thing about Jonas going to school and meeting Regina before they realized that the 9th of november 1986 was a sunday. I guess they originally had another date in mind when writing that scene.
@@WordoftheElderGodsI like Noah. I also like Jonas, Franziska, Regina and.... Hannah. I don't care that much for Egon tho... Well, to each it's own i guess 😊
After countless viewings of the show and reactions, it occurred to me today watching your episode… did Jonas never once see an old picture of his dad? Maybe Ines kept them under wraps?
There would be only a pretty short time for Mikkel and Michael to look exactly the same. Maybe Jonas saw pictures of his dad when he looked the same or similar to how Mikkel looked when he disapeared, but Mikkel might still have been a baby or a toddler back then (or not even born yet), so there was no way to connect them at the time. And once Mikkel/Michael grew up, he would start to look different in the pictures. And even if he thought they looked kinda similar, you wouldn't seriously think time travel, you would think they look similar. Unless you knew time travel existed, in your mind, the child would obviously your dad in '86, not Mikkel, because that is impossible.
I’m so glad you don’t work for the FBI or the IRS, lol, we’d all be in jail! “She spent $400 on Amazon? No way! She’s a drug dealer!” Love you guys! Just giving you a hard time.
Idk if they'd read this, or if they would already get it by now. The story (in all the timelines) is still linear. Even when seeing flashbacks, say to 1986, it's still the same day but just 33 years prior. There's no flashback where the story goes "back" before the day 33 years ago. If the present story is on, say June 9th, 2019, then the story in 1986 would be on June 9th too. Idk how to word it lol I hope this make sense
That's mostly but not entirely true. There are occasionally scenes shown that aren't a multiple of 33 years from the "current" time. For example, the flashback to Regina being tied to the tree, which happened in the summer. There are a couple others, and they haven't all happened yet.
@annak2597 Oh yeah forgot about the Regina stuff, but tbf that was a dream sooo😅. Hehe okay, I'll take the L. But also I'm talking about flashbacks up to this episode. In later seasons this is not generally true anymore
@annak2597 those exceptions do generally have a specific reason behind them, though. For example, the Regina scene isn't technically set in 1986, its set in 2019 and is just showing Regina having a flashback to 1986.
You're wrong, you're right, wrong, just an assumption of yours not confirmed information, wrong, right, wrong, wrong, wrong. I'm so looking foreward to next episode's reaction.
I just want to say, 33 years before 1953 is 1940 (WW2), and 33 years before 1940 is 1917(just before WW1), and Noah's boots and suspenders look a bit military uniformish to me. Just wanted to say that. Personally I still think the nuclear plant/waste is key, but with that tattoo art looking like it probably came from long before that and possibly being investigated through history by church and/or military organizations, just [waves hands wildly]... I mean, there has to be something that that nuclear key is unlocking.
@CaffieneKitty been there. You have an idea that seems too perfect, and then you completely overlook something obvious. Although saying that, 1920 would be right after WWI.
The beauty of this series is that for a German series about time travel, and the main trope in time travel stories is going back and stop Hitler, this one manages to completely ignore WW2. (maybe apart from who Helge's dad is, theories that his mom was raped by Russians in '45)
@Loked420 plus 1953 is still close enough to WW2 that you could make the theory work with some adjustment imo. It'd just be an underground remnant of WW2 German military, or something along those lines.
I haven't watched dark for years, but I still occassionaly say "Ich bin Noah" just because 😂

dark is so amazing! cant wait for episode 8, its one of my favs
I love how they're like - The answer is 2... So the question MUST be 1+1, and it can't possibly be anything else.
Amazing reactions every time! The next one is always such an intense one, looking forward to it!
Guys please, please 2 episodes per week. Also, you sweet summer children, you have absolutely no idea 😂
You guys are so smart even if not hitting the target always.
Listen carefully to what Helge Doppler is saying to Ulrich!
Still thinking linear. Cute.
ah yes noah the villian of the series
Until ich bin du man appears
Definitely the main antagonist
He's my favorite character in the show. With Egon being tied or a very close second.

Could be she kept them hidden. Then again, I've never seen a photo of my dad as a kid either. Never even thought to ask.

1940 is 13 years before 1953, not 33. It would be 1920.
