Why does everybody love Switzerland so much? I live right on the border of Germany and Switzerland and I have friends in Switzerland and Germany. My parents are working on different sides of the border and I gotta say the only good thing about Switzerland are low taxes. I would still rather live in Germany (or Austria) than Switzerland.

The Holy Roman Empire kinda ensured peace, because there was no land route between Eastern and Western Europe without passing trough the HRE and if a small German state wanted to expand nobody of the others cared, but when the state was attacked all of the Empire jump against the attacker

Austria's a D-. It's royal family got pretty good early on with spain and the Netherlands and everything, but got inbred the fuck out. It was the first to collapse in the first world war, and was so excited for the second that it lost before the war started.
You give the German Empire (leading Nation in technology and science at the Time) a C because the lost the first world war due to fighting basicly alone against all major powers. And that only because austrian-hungary wasn't able to geht their inner conflicts under control.
And then you put Austria in 3rd place because they managed to do nothing AND lost WW1... Absolutely hilarious

@@timkoehler The part of Prussian land actually considered Prussia is currently part of Poland. What remains in modern Germany is the Prussian province of Brandenburg. The other Prussian Provinces like Silesia, Pomerania and Prussia itself now belongs to Poland.
