Ive collected mechanicum since black book #1 and will be getting this box to complement my force with some plastic. The resin still has appeal to me, especially when shaping mechadendrites. It's a shame to see the castellax and thralls suffer from the overly complex sub components issue. Thanks for taking the time to review Andy.
Another great video. thanks Andy. I'm very excited about the new box. I started building and painting my resin Mechanicum models last week. Cant wait for next weekend to grab my copy.
That does look very cool. Agree that some newer kits are overly complex. Forget where i saw it but agree with a round table discussion where people enjoyed building old world minis more than modern ones.
I really enjoy your videos. They are easy to follow and result in great looking miniatures. Most importantly the standard is achievable. Since watching and following your guides I've been far more productive and happier with the results of my own miniatures
Wonderful video Andy! I really love the effects you can get with contrast over metallic base, and part of me would be happy just getting there, adding transfers and finishing with some weathering...
Nice video Andy, I actually really liked the metallic red look you had before you started layering I’d say it could have almost been left there. Anyways keep up the good work.
It would be really cool if you posted a picture at the end of the video of the completed model(s) with your collection. Say if you paint some more things from this box, you post a picture of those new models on the shelf amongst your collection. I think it would be really cool to see.
Another top video Andy. You make painting the big surfaces with contrast look too easy!!! Do you use an airbrush? I have one and cannot get in with it, blocking, getting the mix right, adjusting it, fecking heck! Any chance you could do an absolute beginners,(Bowie ref intended), guide on how to use the damn thing?
Great tutorial. Show how easy these complex looking models can be to paint. That model is a robot. No pilot. It is accompanied by a tech priest who gives them commands to follow. No AI so they are commanded by a tech priest.
Did you do any Titanicus scale Reavers? Those were horrific, especially the legs and the microscopic shield generators up top. I love how this looks so I guess I’m starting this army too. 😢
Basing scheme is in the description but here’s what the steps look like! I just use AK terrain for the first part now instead! ua-cam.com/video/4IphjbADruQ/v-deo.htmlsi=b39nREPyoxeJGHzf
Great video, thanks! You are single handedly motivating me to paint more than any other creator on UA-cam! Your fast but effective techniques turn out great results, keep up the good work!!
I think ot is worse option but it fits some armies it hanspinning but tats it strengh 6 ap 4 shoots 4 shots and pinnong compared to say the dark cannon which has lance strengh 7 and is ap 2 but only shoots twice
I love building models... until I realise I spent a whole freaking day putting together eleventy billion pieces for a model that I absolutely didn't need this level of detail on. Why do some barrels come in two parts?! Why do some capes come in 3+ parts?? WHY DO SOME FINGERS COME SEPARATELY?!?!?! I appreciate the detail but it's just so much freaking work. I just put together a Brutalis dreadnought and it had 131 pieces, when the nearly identical-looking Ballistis dreadnought had 21 pieces as a launch box kit. THEY LOOK THE SAME WHY ARE THERE MORE PIECES FOR AN IDENTICAL LOOKING BODY?! Anyway, nice paint job lol
Warhammer UA-cam tutorials: No worries, you can go back later on and tidy it up with some leadbelcher. Mediocre Hobbies: It's gonna be a DISASTER TO FIX LATER!

Really great little tutorial! I am really impressed with how detailed this looks, with such simple techniques.
This model would probably not be on my radar, but you painted it so well, now I want to get it. I love vids like that. Well done, Andy and thank you.

Excellent painting Andy! The color scheme looks great and I like the 3 step finish painting as it adds a lot to the model. Thanks for sharing this.
enjoyed it - straightforward - fast - whats not to like!

The mechanicum is such a cool looking army! Nice work
Those Castellax robots look sick. You definitely did them justice with your paint job.
Thank you!

Brilliant tutorial as always, Andy!

Thank you for the video Andy, stunning piece as always. I wasn't keen on painting these guys but now you've made it look so easy. Thanks mate 👍🏻

Looks good I really need to start my alpha legion properly.
Thanks, Andy! Another great video!
Absolutely loved this, I've always been put off by Mechanicum, but I'm keen to see what you do for the other units in this box 😀

Cheers Andy! For the HH algorithm

Ohhh I like these !
👍
I'm here for the robots. The Men of Iron will rise again.🤖🤖🤖

Love it 👌
It’d be even cooler if they could possibly get some of the characters in plastic as well!

Thanks so much!
i agree, building the models for me is the worst part! but great paint job!

Great video, can’t wait to get mine now but I’d like to know more about what you did with the base

Great video, but... I like building models
Is it practical to magnetize the weapons? I dig the red

@@kindrik that’s so kind pal. Thank you.
Would you do something to the new necromunda box?
Already did one video on it so far!

I cant find the discord server? I really needed help with my own models. Paints, tips, etc..
It’s for UA-cam members, Patreon supporters and twitch subs 😊
Inhavent been able to get blood angels red to work for me on flat areas.

They are complicated now so it is hard/impossible for 3rd party manufacturers to make parts for them that GW don't make
I know right? I finished putting together a contemptor for my dark angels and it took ages 😭
If people don't like building models, perhaps they should chose a hobby that doesn't involve building g models.🙄
Kinda missed the point there pal but thanks for the comment, appreciate it 😊
