I could never figure out Trump's hair after he reached a certain age. I finally hit upon a variation of what was said about the mullet: duck's ass in the back; horse's ass in the front. These cartoons say similar things. My neighbor, who saw me walking back from the mailbox, asked, "Do you get the Seattle Times by mail? Is that exspensive?" I answered yes to both, and explained that ever since my last tour of duty as a Naval public affairs officer I would do what I could to support journalists, as long as I could fit it into my budget.
I watched a video (a couple of times, it was good) by a plastic surgeon speculating about the hair surgeries that Trump has most likely had. It is funny and creepy as all hell at the same time. I can't wait for him to get his head shaved on the way into prison and then have his prison mugshot taken. The scars will be hideous but then, he is hideous so, it fits him.

Planting the seed for critical thinking skills, even more valuable. Thank you both!
No offense to any other cartoonist (I LOVE political cartoons!), but Mr. Fish is the most brilliant, imaginative, creative, stimulating, provocative, and intellectually amazing cartoonist I've ever seen. So thanks to him and to Daryl Cagle, and I'm going to look for Mr. Fish anywhere I can. I don't believe that anyone without college education can fully appreciate the ingenuity of Mr. Fish, leastwise 8th graders, but I'll go along with this humorous notion. THANKS!!!
@waggishsagacity7947 "I don't believe that anyone without college education can fully appreciate the ingenuity of Mr. Fish" Really? I never attended an institution of higher learning. But many of the people I meet who did don't seem to have benefitted much from the experience. Perhaps you'd attribute my attitude to the handicap of an inadequate education. On the other hand, I'm reminded of a line from Randy Newman's "Rednecks" which refers to LSU graduates (and by implication, others): "Went in dumb, came out dumb, too".
Mr. Fish does a fantastic job drawing paintings by the masters as cartoons! The Picasso, Goya, Michelangelo all brilliant. The Rosie choking out Trump is great, love her tattoo lmao!! Great stuff. Thanks for having him on.
My now grown son whose almost 30, as a young boy LOVED political cartoons, I bought him a few large lots of Comic Relief magazines. He loved them, I remember him asking me "mom. . .what does "going to hell in a global warming handbasket", mean?", the next question was about Monica Lewinsky and Clinton's cigar, to that I replied, when you're older. Political cartoons were a fun history lesson for contemporary times and got a kid reading during summer vacation. It's sad the Comic Relief magazine is no longer being published.
I enjoy all of your Caglecast videos but this was the best yet. I love the work of most of your syndicated cartoonists, with a few favorites such as yourself, Adam Zygalis, Monte Wolverton, Randall Enos, and Steve Sack, all of whom have drawing skills I try to learn from. Still, I sometimes get the impression that you all work for the DNC, the NYT or the State Department. I see a lot of Mr. Fish's work in essays by Chris Hedges and other writers who have serious things to say. His images are brilliant and in my opinion are the best continuation of the historic role of political cartooning, which is speaking truth to power, regardless of who wields the power at any given moment. I admire his approach as much as his images and I was particularly pleased by his comment that by putting a lot of time and effort into his images, he feels they will hold the attention of the viewer longer than they might otherwise.
I agree with Dwayne. Trump doesn't know a damn thing about his audience. He just eats the feedback he gets from them on-stage and repeats any keywords he finds that provoke a response. He just throws out free-association until he gets a murmur, then doubles down on it, repeating phrases and words in different combinations, trying to get that murmur up into a roar of approval. It's a childishly simple technique that works because he doesn't care what he says or what anyone else thinks, as long as he gets that crowd approval.
We visited cousins when I was 8. Found my first Mad Magazine in my "nasty" cousins room. It was shocking for a youngster raised on "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. " It gave me a hunger for humor that made me think. To see what's going on in the world. Led me to Heavy Metal and National Lampoon. To Charles Addams and Gahan Wilson and Sam Gross. To Playboy (Little Annie Fanny!!!) and the Vargas girls. I had a whole bookshelf of collections that was heartbreakingly destroyed by a burst waterpipe. Was thrilled when visited by relatives to see my niece zoom straight to it. Humor and art is mind expanding. Now Mr. Fish. ❤ Thanks guys.
@@gregwalker6281 Yeah. Same here! So, when he mentioned "birthing" I had no idea what he meant. How can taking a big ugly dump be the same as giving birth? Just because 2 doors are next door doesn't mean you'll find the same stuff behind each.
Wonderful, thank you. I disagree that the MLK tears of joy was negatively racist. Large scale racial advances are so slow and rare that any significant step forward, even if marginally imperfect, is worthy of celebration. Obama's presence opened many doors that would have otherwise remained closed. His impact was one that John McCain literally could never have matched, hence those tears of joy.

I'll be looking at Mr. Fish from now on...now, here's a _real_ artist. Most political cartoonists, as far as I'm concerned, are barely artists. If not for the message in their drawings, no one would look at their work at all. But Mr. Fish, here, is proof that political cartoons don't haven't too be poor quality art. Your comment about 8th graders was not thought out at all. Kids need exposure to reality, so they can protect themselves, not be treated like mushrooms. Kids that don't have exposure to what goes on, end up falling into all kinds of nasty traps. No political cartoon is going to injure their tender little brains. I find it puzzling (or not at all) that the interviewer avoids for the most part the harrowing images Fish has produced on the Gaza genocide while concentrating editorial fire almost exclusively on Trump. Fish deserved a better setting. And why the repeated use of the word "obscene" to describe certain images?
Too the You Tube people who keep warning me ( its irritating and improper) about community guidelines. I said my disgust to a channel for their irresponsible shooting rifles with a two story house less than a 1/2 mile behind their totally inadequate backstop because they and you at You Tube have a responsibility to show the example of correct gun safety ,I'd say ask Helena Hutchinson but she's already been accidentally killed by Alec Baldwin when he pointed a gun at something he didn't intend to shoot, breaking the first rule of gun safety and tragically killing that poor woman. I stand behind everything I said. You at You Tube need to reconsider your position. Gun safety can not easily be overstated and there aren't many things more important. I may have said it was idiotic what they were doing (shooting into an inadequate backstop with a house visible directly close beyond it)or that it was stupid but that's only because it was. I don't mean anything personal but that kind of irresponsibility is getting people killed. For You Tube to show that to millions of viewers makes you a liability.
