GCPS is a wish list item now delivered. I'll be ecstatic if Marauders make the cut. I'm one of those weirdos.
Only problem with Marauders to me … not enough goblins. 🤓
I increased my pledge after their terrain Q&A. I don't care about the roads so much, but the additional terrain is going to come in handy for Epic Warpath as well as BattleTech.
Heck yeah. The buildings are going to fit in with so many things. Love it.

@@familyofgamers777 that original miniseries was a bit rough ... haha. So excited for this remake. One of my all time favorite books.
honestly, it feels like the GCPS should've been the poster childs instead of the Enforcers. Like, I get it, enforcers are the space marines-ish factions. But I for one H-A-T-E GW's space marine boner and always thought they were the least interesting part of wh40k. And the enforcers kinda take this second part to a whole new level. Like, their vehicles are probably the worst of the bunch and they are probably the least interesting faction. At least Mantic doesn't have an enforcer fetish tho, that's a plus. But point is, every critique of warpath I've seen can be summarized as "the enforcers are hot garbo", and tbh... its not wrong. GCPS are the real pros as far as I can see and they along with plague make for the 2 best vehicle lineup around.
Also, one thing I noticed with Firefight (the other Mantic game on this universe) is that the game seems torn between 2 distinct universes that don't really interact. Like on the one hand you have the GCPS, Mazon Labs, the Plague and if enough people pledge now the Nameless which are basically "humanity fights against its own god damned mess" and are basically Aliens-ish in feel. And then on the other camp you got the Marauders, veer-minn, Asterians (totally not elves) and forgefathers being shameless fantasy in space. Although arguably the marauders are sorta inbetween. Honestly they use enough human-esque stuff that I could see them being some lab accident gone wrong. Hell orks were a lab accident gone wrong in 40k's original lore (not human lab, but still) and arguably the marauders look the part better than the orks.
Either way point is, I get that 40k is also torn between many ambients. But 40k juggles it by refusing to acknowledge it at all and going so over the top insane it all fits together by sheer rule of cool. Mantic now with warpath has the chance to make that happen... but it doesn't seem like they're taking it.
I hope I'm wrong, because I like both sides of this debate and would love to see them fix it. But it really doesn't seem like they're doing it.
Either way, until now I've been waiting on the sidelines and I think GCPS might've just been the push I needed to get into this. I for one prefer seeing poor bloody humans beating the plague than superhuman enforcers, feels more visceral yknow.
The GCPS are a great force for Epic Warpath, but they are extra attractive to me in that they could go into other 10-15mm scifi games very easily (Stargrunt, 5150, Bug Hunt, probably BattleTech, you name it.) And yes, the vehicles here are a huge pull!
@@thehobbyhabitBattletech is about 6mm, so this stuff will be to big. Probably work with Dropzone Commander as I believe that is 10mm.
@@JMcMillen True, but I find I can stretch 6 10 and 15 all up and down toward one another if I want. As soon as you put a human or a doorway down you set the scale to your eye. Since 10 is between the two it tends to be the most flexible to me. This is of course all dependent on the eye of the beholder … but fudging the scale a little can be fun. 👍
Just checked and they are 299,000 pounds ... so making this Kicktraq'er gotta re-evaluate... lol
:) Yep, that was a day ago. Ha. Just posted a new video for today, and at the rate money is pouring in, it is likely already a touch undercooked. Heh. Oh well. Still fun to do.
