    You can usually find rubber gasket strips that will fit under your door. You can put them on with screws and a drill, use silicone or construction glue first. You can also Gerry-rig a rubber strip with an aluminum strip (flashing cut down) and screw that on even at angles.

    Change fuel filter, and air filter as well, we have a 13,000 watt generator and a 10,000 watt generator, as well as a 10,000 watt welder/generator. I change oil on one generator and have it on standby when the other one needs a service, my wife uses those for power on a mobile dog grooming trailer. Spend a small amount now to save a bunch later, I love your videos and how you live simple, yet have everything you need, and learn what you need to stay self sufficient. Keep it up.

    If you take a proper sized piece of threaded pipe, male both ends and take one end and put into female port of oil drain on generator, you can extend the drain and make much easier to drain. Just cap off with female cap. Did this on my snow blower, makes life a lot simpler and less messy! Great channel!

    if you can get some housewrap fragments or cut some cheap tarps up you can put a short flap over the housing of your generator to avoid further rust. OR scrub it with steel wool and vinegar and dab Rust-Oleum from the can. Or do both. I am expert on small amounts of rust.

    YAHOO! The generator will be so happy no have fresh oil in it! I love the Aero mint chocolate bars myself, but I'll have to try that one sometime.
    Summer does go fast, but at least you didn't lose all yours waiting for everything to get finished up in the province you don't want to be living in anymore LOL. I was planning on moving my trailer onto my property tomorrow, but it's been raining all day today, and it's supposed to do the same tomorrow. 😢
    Hope you're looking forward to thanksgiving, it's next weekend. I wanted to do a turkey, but I don't think there's anyway I can fit a turkey in this camper oven lol. I picked up some turkey breasts, so I'll do those instead. OH, I was looking at propane stoves at the cabin depot, and I found one that I think I can get to replace the camper stove I have, then I'll have a full size stove!!! It only uses electricity for the ignition, and for the fan that is in the convection oven. Also, the oven has A LIGHT!!!! lol. I might have to invest in one next year.
    Hope you're having a great weekend Jenna, and I hope your weather is a lot nicer than it is here this weekend.

    • @gypsyjenna
      @gypsyjenna  11 днів тому +3

      Oh cool! I do think those little ovens will hold a small chicken at least! If you were willing to give up on the turkey 😅
      Yes there are some nice smaller stoves/ovens that are still bigger than the RV ones. Thank you for all the oil change reminders! Haha, I need stuff drilled in my head sometimes because my ADD brain has my mind everywhere all at once! Glad it's over with, will do it again in Spring, orrrrrr pre winter next year! 🤣😂.
      The weather here is overcast and misty but we honestly need rain so I'm kinda hoping for it!

    Howdy there Jenna,
    Nice to see you fixed the gap at the bottom of your door. That should hold it for a while.
    Yep, looks like the oil in the generator needed changed all right 👍. My brother used to put 20W 50 in his pro street car back in the 80's. A bit thick but just right for a high horsepower, high r.p.m. motor.
    I like the little cut scene with Ramsey and his fountain. No dialogue needed.😅
    Nice little meal and beverage and ride on the buggy. Yea, not getting all the things done you plan to do in a year, is me, every year.😂 Just make sure you get your wood pile built up so you and the kitties can stay warm and cozy in the months ahead.
    Yep, 'tis the season for all things spooky. 👻. You know what's coming up, your favorite part of the year..,no not Christmas.....The winterization of the trailer!!! A nip in the air and the beautiful smell of antifreeze. 😊
    Take care and stay safe from the Samsquanches out in 'da woods.😊------Steve.

    Yes, fall is here, still hot here. Was 102F today down here, i wish the hell it would hurry up and be winter already. Ramsey, what is up with that tail man? Looking like a remote control cat dood!! lol
    Getting dark a lot earlier now. Are we still doing the spring forward fall back crap with the clocks, thought we were gonna stop doing that, i dunno where we are with all of that. Shows yah how much i pay attention to the world at large. The whole worlds gone crazy and i am just so disengaged from it. Blah
    Getting about time for you to stock up your wood for the winter eh? Winter is almost there for you, wish it would hurry up here. Be safe up there, watch out for Sasquatch!! 🥰🙏

    Good for you on getting the oil change done. I am wondering if you have tried adjusting the valve rocker arm clearances.
    If you still have the manual you can look that up otherwise lots of help available on YT.
    I watch Chicanic? for help with small engine repair and maintenance.

    Good going on trying to use spray foam to fill the gap under your door. A way to fill it completely & fit the space better , put plastic down on threshold . Tape a piece of plastic on door ( wrapped like in an envelope) close the door & use filler straw in between the two layers of plastic. Keep door shut while it dries. Peel away both layers of plastic & voila - perfect fit 😅

    Hello Jen, me and the sailboat left in June where that cane just hit and another one is coming for a direct hit to fl. Meh-
    We we sure did extend on the embutcherment of the door. Agreed, match its crazee.
    I had a beloved 2000w genny I ran like a champ some 3 full years on the boat. Had I changed the oil more often maybe could have gotten longer. The engine failed the Jen didn't. ❤
    I have been able to become more dependant on the solar ( minus air con) The Jen does that. 😃
    I think sometimes of playing around and uping the amps of the solar or getting a few 1200v fp capacitors but then the system becomes a bit unsafe. Three 340w panels create far more electricity than I use.
    You're so pretty Jenifer

    Nova Scotia has about 3,000 lakes and from what I have seen, they all look like the one you stopped at. Walmart would have cheerfully refunded you for the 10W 30 and certainly you could have exchanged it. Maybe you could use it in your friend's buggy there. Cheers from Kings County.

    Hey GJ, would any weatherstripping have worked? I guess if you’re happy with it, we’re happy for you, lol. Hope all is well for you from a big fan. Was going to suggest a trickle charge but you beat me to it, lol. Jenna, if you can find one, they make a hose that has a fitting that screws into the block of you motor, it drains the oil away from everything. My house generator came with one is the only way I know. My lawn mower is just like that, a booger bear to drain the oil, ugh!

    • @stanpatterson5033
      @stanpatterson5033 11 днів тому

      A drain hose is a good idea. However, if you cannot find one with the proper thread to screw in, save a used plastic pop bottle, either the 2L size, or a smaller one. Cut it apart to fashion a bit of a funnel to direct the draining oil away from falling on that cross brace.
