Thanks that's awesome this is one of the few metal bands that has gotten better with age and I prefer their newer albums over there older stuff for the most part.
I don’t think I’d change a thing:). My three favorite Saxon tracks are “Crusader,” “Princess of the Night” and “747: Strangers in the Night.” “Thunderbolt” and “Battering Ram” are killer albums!
Great Saxon album ranking John! Damn they have a lot of albums!! Since the new one came out I've wanted to try them out, but had no clue where to start! So this video definitely helps there! I'll probably try the new one first, then the first couple of albums, and maybe the most newer ones. Cheers! 😊🤘🏻
I think the latest album is not a bad place to start. This is one of the few old bands where I like their newer stuff better, with a few exceptions of course.
@jcrockandmetalreviews Nice that's cool, I'll definitely start with the newest one and see where I go from there. Ahh yeah, that's interesting. Normally it's the other way around, but I'm the same with Death Angel! Minus the debut I much prefer the later albums. Interesting indeed 😊🤘🏻
Great Ranking! I agree: You cannot go wrong with Denim & Leather.... and I think Saxon's newer records were all pretty strong, at least very solid Albums.

Well, I am with you a bit, but GLAM METAL was in the seventies! Saxon never played that sort of music! Please listen to glam! I mean The Sweet and Bolan etc???
I was referring to the metal of the 80s with bands like ratt and warrant and poison and Bon Jovi some call it hair metal some called a glam metal I just went with the latter.
@@jcrockandmetalreviews I am with you, it just keeps us as Metal Fans alive talking about stuff like this. The scene is still alive after so many years and that is a present, isnt it? Love you man! And i love Saxon....
Awesome Saxon ranking, John! I'm a bit surprised that their newer albums were in your top 5. I would've expected their older albums to be in there.
This is one of the few classic bands where I like their newer stuff better.
The new Saxon albums are killer! Can't go wrong with Denim and Leather at №1! 🤘🏼🍻
I agree. I think they got better with age.
Excellent ranking, mostly agree, I definitely like a lot of the Post 2000 albums. Our bottom 5 are very similar.

Forever Free is underrated. I fully expected you to rank it low. Everyone does
It's understandable. It was a different sound, but for me it ranks low.

It's not too bad it's one of the better ones from the '80s
